We we had an evening meal here after going on a Puebla food tour in the afternoon. I only mention…read morethat because we were pretty full before we even sat down to eat. Things we liked: the sommelier was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He let me taste two different wines and I get to choose my favorite. He even helped us get a ride home. The food was generally quite good. We ordered four different items, including a beef ceviche, fried parsley, crema Poblana soup and mole poblano with chicken. My favorite of these was the crema poblano soup. All items were all nicely prepared. The servings were quite generous. Despite several complaints we read on Yelp about the prices, we thought they were pretty reasonable compared to what we would pay in the USA. Things we didn't like: there was some construction going on, apparently to prepare for Valentine's Day. There were some poorly behaved children running through the restaurant. There were large groups of waiters standing around talking to each other. The restaurant wasn't very crowded on this Wednesday night. Overall, it's a good restaurant with a few flaws on our one visit.

This is nothing less than a FIVE STAR hotel. From the gorgeous building itself, to the beautiful…read more decor, to the rooms named with international stars, to the spectacular included breakfast. We wanted to flee Mexico City and decided to head to Puebla. Found a great deal online and wound up in the rooftop suite. I've stayed in every level of hotel and this is the finest room I've ever stayed in. We were both sick,so we stayed in our first night and had room service which was spectacular. The cream of mushroom soup was the thing of dreams. Every breakfast was equally good. The staff goes out of their way to help and I mean that literally. My wife stopped in at the bar to order a Sangria, assuming she'd take it back to her room herself. But the staff her won't allow a client to go through such a bother and they insisted on bringing it upstairs themselves after making it. My wife speak a little Spanish and the staff speaks a little English and they were with giving information. The view from the rooftop is spectacular and on a clearish day you will get the most amazing view of the Volcano you will see in Puebla.

I thought it would be one of the higher up rooms but it still has an amazing view. The restaurant serves good food but I which there was more traditional simple options. The prices are reasonable but that is for me. I thought the restaurants around town are fairly cheap at around 25 US dollars for two with one or two drinks each. The hotel is more like 35 US dollars for same.

It's literally 10 min away from the Cathedral and Zocalo, and the walk is also something else. You'll walk by beautiful streets that are as instagrammable as romantic. I spent only four days in Puebla, I wish I had more time to stay here at least for the weekend.

Service is great- nice employees willing to go the extra mile Food is delicious-24 hour room service was so nice! Good AC Needs improvement: 9:30 pm turn down service was not mentioned and room service opened the door after one knock and woke up my baby who was crying and wouldn't go to sleep til midnight -served vinegar in my water with my breakfast nearly spit it out...not sure what that was all about. Maybe they didn't finish cleaning the glass? Left a bad taste in more ways than one -SO noisy, can hear all the cars/trucks/honking etc. also if anyone is outside the door in the hallways you can hear everything from voices to loud slamming doors etc. was not relaxing when trying to relax!
