This place was amazing! We came here to taste their wines off of a stellar recommendation from some Italian friends that claimed this place has The Best Amarone. Once there, we found it is also a bed and breakfast. This was, hands down, the best tasting my wife and I have done. And, we've done a lot of wine tasting. California, France, Texas, Canada, Scotland, Turkey..,,a lot of wine tastings! The owners (a very hospitable couple) were both with us for the tasting. Eager to explain their passion and enjoy their amazing wines with them. They brought out delicious local Grana Padano cheese, house made salami, lots of wine, more salami, more cheese, bread, award winning olive oil, chocolate...and on and on. At one point, I actually forgot we were there for a tasting. It actually felt more like we were at a good friend's house having wine and delicious food. When we asked about the B&B, the owners gave us a tour of the property. Beautiful!! The rooms looked amazing. They have a really cool yoga room and an excellent hiking trail system that winds through and around the property. I can't wait to come back. During the tasting, a couple returned to the B&B from a day out. When they arrived, the owners greeted them and asked if they'd like to join us for a glass. They enthusiastically agreed and sat. We learned they were from New Zealand and we're halfway through a week long stay at Casa Zen. The made a point to say how appreciative they were for another glass of this amazing wine. They also made a point to ask if we were staying. When they found out we were not, they said we were missing out on one of the best B&B breakfasts they'd had. Next time, I'm staying or a week and bringing a wine shipping suit case. This is a must for any wine lover. read more
