MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT ALL THE REVIEWS YELP BLOCKED I had to add a star because Yelp is useless and will block the review if I don't. Treat this as 0 stars. Customer service takes me an average of 1.5 hours to get through to. They provide internet and phone service but there have been occasions where their own internal phone system was down. They feed me the same BS lines about upgrading their towers every time I tell them my internet sucks. I fell for it the first time but it doesn't take 3 years to set up a 4g network bridge. I have been getting about 800 kbps since the 26 of December when I pay $65 a month for 5 Mbps. To put it simply I get about 16% of what I pay for about 40% of the year. The rest of the time it is bearable. The tech was out here today and ran a speed test from my house to Casair which said 5 Mbps. This is not a very good test for an internet connection since the first stop once a packet leaves my house is Casair in Stanton. Every single speed test I have ran since getting home from work has given around 800 kbps except the Casair server test which is almost always 5 Mbps. I don't watch movies on casiar.net I watch them on netflix.com. If you want an accurate speed test run it from somewhere other than your ISPs personal server. What I take from this is my connection through the tower to their network in Stanton is fine, 5 Mbps but they do not let it get past them to say, Google or Netflix, pick your favorite website, with any realistic speed/rate. What other reason could I get 5 Mbps to their server but nowhere else i run a speed test from? Downloads show the exact same trend. I use speedtest.net, and speedof.me for testing internet speeds and Steam client for downloads. I made sure they device I tested on was not downloading updates or using the bandwidth for anything but the speedtests. I did have links to all my speed tests linked on here but Yelp is broken and I have had to redo this review 4-5 times since their algorithm for filtering reviews is worthless. I just want people to be aware that Casair either thinks we are all dumb and there is nothing wrong or they just do not care that their service is terrible. Who knows maybe they will see this post an actually make an effort to help instead of treating me like a number and blowing me off while taking my money. Just for some background, I am part of a three man team which manages IT for factories in Michigan and Kentucky. I do networking including bridges similar to what Casair uses. This is just the tip of the iceberg. I am not on here to post a resume I would just like to clarify that I know what am doing and have been doing it for a long time. When it works it's not bad, but when it quits working many times they won't show up to fix it for a week, the office is only open a few hours every day, no night hours, no weekend hours. Hard to believe when many stores are open 24/7 now, and everyone uses their internet 24/7/365 that they don't have support for their Network. Only 40 hours a week if you're lucky. read more

Be very watchful if you have to disconnect because they DON"T prorate the bill. They make you pay for service that you will NOT be using. We asked to speak to the manager, he refused to talk to us. We have never been late on a payment. We are moving so we cancelled our services 2 days after our statements due date, they told us we will owe for the whole month of September since they don't prorate. So we are being charged for the whole month of September instead of the 2 days of usage. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CASAIR. If you have to use them make sure you cancel on your statement due date, they REFUSE to prorate. They gouge you for services you will not be using. I signed up March 15th, and they surveyed to install the next day. 2 months later (May 15th) I called asking what the delay was. They said either weeks or months to do the install. 2 more months (July 15th), I called 7 times left 3 messages, no call backs. Everyone says I can't help you have to talk to Fiber installation. Never get a call back. 1 more month, still no call back. I called again, again to voice mail, left a message. Doubt I will get a call back. This company has no spine, go with someone else if possible. I might update this review if someone actually does something to get my installation moving. Also, they make you sign a contract with a $300 fee if you back out, what a bunch of BS if they never install the stuff. Scheduled install for 8:30 a.m. on Saturday as someone had to be home for the installation. No show. At 12:30 tried to call customer service. Closed on the weekend. Waited until 4:00 p.m. and still a NO SHOW. Passed up working on Saturday so we could have internet, what a waste. Really could have used the extra money for Christmas. Internet is slow and very patchy. When you call about it there's nothing they can do but wait until an unknown time where somebody might come out. It's down all the time randomly. And expensive as they are charging us $60 for a measly 5mbs download. But really that's about 3.5 if we are lucky. Usually down at 1.5. And upload. You can forget about that. It's barely .5mbs upload on a good day. Good thing I'm moving and don't have to deal with Casair anymore. read more

I'd give a zero if I could. We inquired about service after they sent a promotion to us that they were now in our area. Not only did they absolutely assure 7s that they covered the area, they also guaranteed they were cheaper. Then the calls started. We need to pull a hard credit check, we can't make it today, we need to postpone..." We agreed it would be best for them to install after all snow was gone...then nothing, for months. Today I call and was told they lost our paperwork "in the pipeline" and then finally told they couldn't actually cover our area. We live in Howard City and switched to this service about a year ago. We love it. We have the middle plan, and we can have multiple devices running, even Netflix on one or two. Occasionally we still have problems, but most to the it works like it suppose too. Much better than our other provider. Also, when I have called, they are always helpful and come out to our home quickly. read more

Worst customer service, I have been with them for 10 years, most of the time works ok, but when it doesn't your cant get it fixed. Called there support for five days in a row, say there working on it but nothing ever happens. I can only send about one email an hour. No streaming. If you use Casair wireless internet do not expect the speed to be anywhere near what is advertised. The website states that "Speeds are burstable and not guaranteed. Service is subject to availability. Wireless Extreme requires direct line of sight to our tower locations." Which basically means "we can screw you any way we want and there is nothing you can do about it". Unfortunately, I am located in an area where they are my only option. You can't get customer service on the phone, if you do, they cannot provide any answers except when your bill is due and how much it is. If you have any other options for an ISP, do not even consider Casair. They over sell their towers capabilities and say there is nothing they can do about it. My service went to hell on Tuesday 6/13/17 (it was bad before) but now it's useless. when I call customer service they said the towers would be upgraded sometime in 2017 when I inquired if there was a schedule or timeline or a list of which towers we getting upgraded and in which order, I was told that information was unavailable....however they offered me discount pricing for the internet that currently does not work and warned me that if I took the discount the service would not work as good as the current service I have.....which doesn't work. If I had the option to rate zero stars I would. I notice that the responses to bad Google reviews come from "Owner of the Company" I am also the owner of a company and am not afraid to use my own name. trying to get past customer support to management is a complete impossibility. First we were told by the tech that came out within 2 week we would get a call to schedule putting a 30ft pole after having the tech installation done in a downstairs cement wall basement. We get crappy to no service. Waited over 2hrs on phone to get it taken care of and was told we have to pay more to get it moved when we did not want it in empty basement in first place. He said we signed that work was done proper when we had not used it yet to see. We signed that he was here to hook it up. No notes from tech he said to come back and put pole up. Customer support said he did not test for pole and he did. Said he did not tell us we would get a scheduling call for pole when he did, said we told him to put in basement and we did not. He then called us liars!!! They will not fix the problem with terrible reception as they see nothing wrong. Will not return our money or let us talk to General Manager or Supervisor!!! Terrible customer service. Support is only available until 8 pm. If you call before then and don't get to talk to anyone your call will disconnect at 8 even if there is no body in the que before you. I've had CasAir for 3 years but in the past month I've called at least 6 times trying to get a clear answer or even someone in Tech Support to even answer the phone in regards to the service interruptions but to no avail...I work from home and rely heavily on consistent service. I've had to adjust my hours and even use vacation time due to the issues and I don't even get the courtesy of a call back. I have had casair for approximately 3 years and it hasn't worked properly since day one. We cant watch a movie on Netflix, a video on YouTube, or use internet on our phones without the wifi dropping out constantly. It may drop out 10-15 times from 2 seconds to 10 minutes. They told me to unplug their unit to reset it, and occasionally it helps, but I dont want to do that multiple times a day. We pay our bill and get about 30% usage. It makes me sick to pay every month for something that doesn't work. They've sent service techs out a few times (six months after you call) and none of them have done anything to make it better. SIGH. Once again, waiting on hold interminably (using my entire lunch hour at work) to speak to someone. This time, though, it's to disconnect the service. I've been a customer for 4 years, and it has sucked the entire time, honestly. When we first got it it sucked less, but now that they've oversold their towers (we keep getting told that they are "going to put in new towers", or "your property is a proposed location for cable" Hold on!". JOKE.), we have service maybe 10% of the time. I consistently call and complain, and someone gets sent out a week later to say "Not really sure...." or "Buy a new router" (I've bought 4, all top of the line), problem might get fixed when they "tweak the radio", but only for a day or two, then back to no service. I recently had an WIFI Install at my home and the installer's name was Mikal. He had to deal with 40mph winds and snow on this day and never missed a beat during this process. Living out in the country I had to pick between casair and Hughsnet and the only reason I have to stay with Casair is their unlimited wifi which is basically rendered useless because it goes out EVERY SINGLE DAY. Extremely upset that they are my only other option. read more

Can't even GET the internet. Called over a year ago (February '17) was told we were put on a waiting list and MAY have internet by the end of '17. All our neighbors have casair, but we were told we had to wait for "upgrades" to the area to get it. Contacted them again in March '18, was told I was put on ANOTHER waiting list and they don't know when the "upgrades" will be done. I've had them for 7 years now. Even recommended them. I've paid my bill 4 months ahead of time and been 2-3 months behind before due to our business getting paid in 6+ month intervals. Now am behind and told them I'd pay the following week and they shut my service off. I told their rep. Carol thanks for the loyalty. Absolutely horrible service! Over the 9 months of service, I lost service for days at a time every month. I requested service and received the same answer if "unexplained atmospheric interference". I requested a refund for the days of no service and never received an answer. I finally canceled service and received a bill for a cancelation and months that I didn't fulfill their contract. I asked for a credit for the days and days of no service but was ignored. Now I just keep receiving emails with invoices attached. I've called and emailed requesting a credit to my account and continue to get no response. Horrible service! Horrible customer service! Horrible company! Avoid their company at all costs! read more

Will promise you the world and then not deliver. Ordered 5 meg service on 28th of Oct. Paid $150 install fee and billing was due on 28th of month. We rarely had 5 megs on consistent basis and most of the time was down to 1 meg. I was late on payment for October and they shut me off on December 14th. They are my internet provider and they do not care about the customer, only the customers money and how easily they can get it. After initially having their service installed it was garbage and functioned at less than 10% of it's stated amount so I upgraded to the fastest package and it was still the same. After weeks of calling them they finally did a diagnostic and found out their equipment was receiving interference and they finally fixed it but even though their service was not working nearly at all they are still charging me $100 for service provided worth less than $20. They make you sign a contract so they can give you horrible service at business package prices. read more

Internet constantly goes in and out. Works fine for a while, then will not work worth a darn for weeks. We have the 3.0 Mbps/512Mbps plan and it's running at 1.6 Mbps and 0.19 Mbps for a while. When we call it takes forever for them to pick up, if they actually pick up the phone and you have to wait days for their dispatch to call you for an appointment. They adjust your radio but it never helps. It's to the point now that when we call to complain they threaten to shut us off. They know that the only other option out here is satellite, which is not feasible. So they have you over a barrel and treat you like it. Very disappointed by their service. I have been a Casair customer for years now. I started out with their base plan and now I have their top end wireless plan. My service seems to be very sporadic. At times it is very good. At other times it will slow to a crawl. Whenever I complain they always want to blame it on my router. I hook directly to the modem and tell them what is happening. Usually they will tweak the radio or something and it will be good for a few days. Then it starts all over again. Today I have been without Internet service for over 24 hours. I called and left a message and I submitted an online ticket and still no response from them. They try to make it almost impossible to talk to someone live anymore. Their customer service and dropped significantly! What is going on? Are they making so much money now that they don't have to worry about customers? Is anyone else having problems? read more

I've had Casair for about a month now, having moved to a new location, and have never lost a connection, and it's faster than the cable internet I had at my prior home. I have used Casair now for 2 1/2 yrs. Never had a problem that was not immediately addressed.For me, the service is perfect. We home-school and it is necessary to have the best service available. We also had our computer crash and Casair has a service that repairs and corrects your computer issues. This service was prompt and competitively priced and they did a great job! The first year it worked great, then too many customers on the network. The past year and a half have been very frustrating. Peak hours are horrible, cannot watch hulu or other programs without buffering, even at 2 am! They do not answer the phone and do nothing when you call the service department. Had them for a few years. Was great at first and the connection was solid. Since then it has just gotten worse. On the rare occasions when I can speak to customer service they make a lot of vague promises but never help you. Internet slows down every other minute making it worse than satellite which is at least consistent, though it has data caps.If you use a lot of data and it is your only resort then I guess your stuck with it until something better comes out. If you just web browse, get satellite since Casair is not worth it. DSL or cable is definitely better. read more

It is absolutely ridiculous that people that live in rural areas are treated this way by companies. Casair is NO EXCEPTION. The actual product is terrible. Terrible. I see the people that have Casair signs in their yard and I wonder what internet they had before this crap that makes them think they should advertise for these thieves. Every problem that you have with Casair is YOUR PROBLEM. The only way to get some service was to tell them that the internet speeds were faster than what they throttle you to. Then it's a problem they have to fix immediately. Not to mention that for the same monthly payment ($60) amount you get 20x faster speeds (usually they are around 1-3 Mbps) that don't go in and out from a provider in any city. So that is what the rural communities get. Pay more for less. Much less. And I mentioned that you are throttled. Yes. WiMax technology (which Casair uses) has the capability of much higher speeds. Then every day that I get on and it takes 20-30 seconds to open a web page I want to throw this crap service out but... GOTCHA!
