The staff does not reply to emails, during Covid they shut down all the amenities (rightfully so), and gave a kickback the first 2 or 3 months of $50 if you paid in full. However they stopped doing that while the amenities stayed closed. Then once the amenities opened, you had to set a reservation and meet them at the door for the set time. I have waited up to 15 minutes into the rain to get into the gym and then have to leave a bit before the top of the hour for them to "clean" which they never do...because only me and maybe 2 other people use. Sometimes, they don't even show up, I'll watch them walk in the hallways and look in my direction waiting for the door to be opened and be completely ignored. During our winter storm, they did not prepare for ice and just said they would not be in the office. There were multiple accidents in the crammed parking lot and I saw multiple people, including a disabled person, fall on the ice due to management's lack of preparation. I have contacted corporate about these issues and, to my surprise (sarcasm), there has been silence. Stay away from this company, C&R, and their apartments if possible!

He had most of his care on the memory side of Avamere for a little over a year. During that period of time the staff was very friendly, kind, compassionate and helpful to both of us. Their activities, entertainment and games were a lot of fun and you could see that most of the residents enjoyed them. The facility was clean, the food was good and the residents always had two choices of what they were allowed to eat. The administrator was very hands on. No matter what time of day I visited she knew exactly what was going on with my husband and what type of a day he was having. She would make suggestions for possible changes in his care and let me be as involved as I wanted to be.
