This venue was the most spectacular venue I've ever been to for any wedding in my life and I'm old…read morelol. In July and August the bushes are spectacular. The bushes are hydrangeas and photograph fabulously and are overwhelmingly impressive to any guest that attends. Hoda and his wife are exquisite hosts and their catering services are fabulous and delicious. I would recommend this venue as the first to be reviewed if you're considering getting married. Mother of the bride review. Thank you !

Just attended a wedding there, and the only good thing this venue offered was the gardens, they…read morewere beautiful. However, the parking lots were not what you saw online. The upper lot did not have parking spots or was it paved as it seemed to be represented. It was gravel and NOT ADA compliant. The lower lot, which can't be found referenced online, is at the bottom of a HORRID rocky hill with no safety rail or any safety features that allow elderly or poorly abled people to climb up to the grassy, hilly venue without potential injury. Definitely not safe at all and someday someone will get hurt. ELDERLY AND POORLY ABLE PEOPLE WILL NOT DO WELL AT THIS VENUE AND IT DOES NOT TAKE THEM INTO CONSIDERATION. Next, the toilet facilities offered are indoor toilets that have wet floors, toilet paper dispensers that don't work, and paper towel dispensers that don't work. The onsite manager was told two days before the event that the TP dispenser did not work, but it still did not work the day of the wedding. Clearly, they are not capable of taking care of their property when issues need to be addressed. The only other choice were outhouses. Chairs provided by the venue we broken and set up for guests to use. When clean up time came around, the onsite manager did not have bags available to replace the bags in their trash cans. The only bags she has were small kitchen bags and had to send for more. Maybe trash bags onsite were not part of the $$$$price. Only two bags were allowed to be left at the venue and all other trash had to be taken off site. I would STRONGLY recommend you DO NOT USE this site for your event if you want your guests comfortable access, clean working facilities, good onsite customer service, and accurate, updated online information that provides your guests with the best possible experience available. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. This venue needs to step up their game and make it a safe place for all people.

Our sever was very friendly and knowledgeable, she checked in us quite often and made good recommendations. The burgers and fried chicken sandwich are delicious. We really liked the campfire dipping sauce that came with the cheese curds.

Seating is mainly on the rooftop where you get a nice overlook of the Cascade Locks neighborhood. The beer list is mainly handcrafted beers from Oregon so if you're looking for domestic items such as Coors light or Bud light, this ain't your location. We did some Kolschs and the Day Hike Pale Ales. The Pale Ale is tasty and easy to drink. My sister likes the Kolsch although it didn't appeal to my girlfriend as it was a bit sour for her. She did like the Pale Ale so I had to order another one for her. As for food, I went with the farmers salad and the wings while my sister got the classic cheeseburger and my girlfriend went with the chicken sandwich. The food came out pretty quick and we dug in. The salad was bigger than I expected and I loved the beets and bacon with the goat cheese mixed in. As for the wings, I could've done without those as they came out dry and tough. The sauce is pretty good (hazy ipa buffalo) which I'm sure would amplify the flavor of the wings if they weren't so stiff. My girlfriend and sister both enjoyed their chicken sandwich and burger. I probably should've ordered one of those cause they looked tasty. My nephew ordered the kids chicken tenders w/ fries. He ate them and didnt' complain which is a good thing. The location also hosts events such as weddings and engagement parties; not surprised given the views of the area and the access to the beer. Apparently there's also a Gorges Beer location directly in Southeast Portland if you don't want to go all the way to Cascade Locks. This spot is alright; my nephew enjoys it here so I'll probably be here again when we visit the Hatchery next time we come.

I just had my wedding at Maple Leaf 9/9/17 and if you are looking for a venue in the Gorge you MUST…read moreMUST MUST book it here!! For starters Jami is beyond amazing, she is a fun, upbeat girl who knew how to take care of everything. She is super responsive to my messages and really flexible with times for letting me visit. (BTW her dogs are the cutest!) She was open to all my ideas and had great suggestions of her own. The property itself is gorgeous, warm and inviting. When I first walked in, I felt like you didn't have to add a thing and it would be a beautiful wedding. The property is beautifully landscaped with lots of adorable Pintrest-worthy touches (Welcome to the Wedding signs, ect). The view from the windows is jaw-dropping. I had a lot of family from around the country come for the wedding and everyone was really impressed with the natural beauty of the Gorge, and Maple Leaf really proudly showcased that. The venue is a fantastic mix of indoor/outdoor space: the indoor area is professionally designed to be flexible for all your needs; wall outlets everywhere, flexible space, great kitchen, and really nice bathrooms! Right out the doors is their patio area with romantic festival lights strung up. Our guests really enjoyed spending time on the patio when evening set in. The grassy lawn in the back is also fantastic, we used that space for a bunch of lawn games (that Jamie provided!) for our guests. Also included are two suites for the bridal party to get ready in, and that was A LIFESAVER. Plenty of room for all of us to prep the morning of, with a great kitchen for all our 'did you eat? eat something!!' snacks. I cannot recommend Maple Leaf Events enough!

Wedding Couples Beware! My daughter had a June wedding planned at this venue. She paid in FULL…read morebefore the final due date, and then Covid 19 hit and turned the world upside down. The decision was made to cancel the wedding since their guest list was over 100 and state restrictions prohibited any gatherings over 25 people. All of the other wedding vendors gave FULL refunds without hesitation and voided their contracts due to the pandemic.Even the photo booth that stated on their website that NO refunds were available, gladly refunded her money. After several emails back and forth, Jami decided to give a partial refund. She tried to give some other dates that didn't work for them. My daughter was very upset and thought she would just keep the $1000 save the date money, but she kept more than that amount. She explained that she is a small business, and that she has overhead. Anyone that has looked at this venue realizes it is a DIY wedding venue, and she has NO staff. She choose to keep a large amount of money for circling a date on a calendar. Shame on her for causing mental and financial stress during this crisis. If you plan on having your wedding at this venue, just realize that even a national pandemic doesn't void her contract. You will be donating(not by choice) your hard earned money to her small business for NO services rendered. For a wedding venue owner, she isn't very compassionate. Every bride plans and looks forward to her wedding day. Mother of the Bride
