Sure did and it was all true! Good riddance, but the interesting part is it wasn't because of my accurate review (which he didn't dispute, btw) it was really because they could not scam her out of $600. This office lies to patients and doesn't bother encouraging them to check with their insurance to see what's covered. They said orthopedic inserts absolutely weren't covered by insurance then the doctor's wife later said, "Some insurances cover and some don't when my mom requested a refund after learning her insurance will cover it. It turns out most of the $600 for the orthotic inserts is covered after checking with her insurance. We demanded the $$$ be refunded after finding this out and this is why Dr. Sherwin is pissed, just to be clear. I'll always look out for my mom, sorry Dr. Sherwin. He told my mom, "We can't see you again because your daughter left us a scathing review!" lol. How petty! So, to clarify: a family member reports an accurate experience, Dr. Sherwin can't take the feedback and maybe learn and improve? No, doctors are God and he'll punish my mom because I had a negative experience with him, ok--got it! Maybe it's time to retire instead of bilking more seniors out of their retirement savings?

The Dr is great but because his office staff isn't they get 1 Star…read more Here is why: Phone calls never returned in a timely manner (after more than 4 messages left), you make a trip to the office to attempt to pick up what you need (because calls/messages were never answered) and the office staff gives you the run around while they act like they've never heard of you?!? Prior to this it was the same type of scenario trying to get information processed after my initial visit scheduled by the VA. It took over 30 days for her to submit the paperwork to get an MRI. That appointment was then canceled by this clinic because they wanted to just go with inserts. Then they couldn't schedule that appointment and failed to return calls. If you ask me it sounds like they were trying to milk the VA. Why would you cancel an MRI that will show you an image of what's going on?!? No thanks, I'll take my business, my insurance and the VA's money elsewhere since it's too hard to call people back, schedule/ keep appointments, and get a copy of the medical folder from your only visit.

'Don' was referred here by his doctor for treatment on his feet to help with severe dystonia that causes severe pain and that making it hard to even walk. His first visit was hopeful as his PT let him know he would be able to help and the first thing they would do is fit him for much needed orthotics. Next visit, PT gave him temporary orthotics and asked him to come back the next morning to receive the new ones that were being made. Next visit, examined his feet, applying pressure at specific areas that were supposed to relax his dystonic feet. When the PT was unsuccessful, he told Don that it was impossible that his feet continued to cramp and thought he was faking it. He then told him he would not be receiving orthotics because the temporary ones had not been as effective as he thought, stating, "There's no way I'm approving these to your insurance as I don't see them medically necessary." As he checked out they gave him a pamphlet on where to buy special orthotics on Amazon. He checked the website and these special orthotics don't even come out on the market for another 5 years. I will spare you the rest of this experience, including voicemails, etc., and Don's refusal to go back. Someone dealing with a neurological disorder that is physically debilitating and misunderstood disorder has a hard time with the social consequences everyday. If you don't have a clue what you are doing, don't blame your patient for your lack of understanding. It can have lasting effects on someone that isn't given a lot of hope.

After months of visits to Dr. Sherwin for ingrown toenails on each big toe I ended up taking…read morematters in my own hands and using old school methods. The nails were removed and infections set in. I went back every other week just to be told to use epsom salts and some hoaky cream that was not prescribed but an herbal stuff. Months went on. I had to wear slippers to my mother's funeral even tho the 'good' doc had assured me all would be fine. Almost 4 months went by. Finally, after consulting my father who trusts old school methods, I began soaking in plain old salt water using table salts. In 2 days everything was gone and I was angry! After all that time and all I needed was salt. I'm certain that all my visits must have paid off his utilities and next vacation. NEVER would I ever recommend him except as a ferrier (horse shoes).

Orthotics that he made were…read moreuseless, and he "milked" the system of med insurance, making mistake after mistake, fixing and remaking the orthotics over over and over...while all along he knew what he was doing...after more that $1000 out of my pocket (to reach deductible) , and more form my insurance, few months later I still did not have a proper orthotics. I had to check website https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/providercredentialsearch/SearchCriteria.aspx to believe that he has a degree, that how incompetent he was. His main nurse is his wife, and they do not leave marital disagreements at home...Someone has to stop this Dr practicing. After I paid all that money, and had an orthotics that did not work for me, I had to go to another place and pay out of my pocket for new pair, since my insurance did not want to cover this second pair.

I have healed up quite nicely, and am able to do with ease, what hurt so bad prior to my surgery, and that is WALK. The plan was to fuse my big toe joints.... But the morning of the surgery, Dr. McAllister was up thinking about what else there can be done, and shared his thoughts with me the morning of, changing from a fusion, to a bone fragment and cartilage cleaning, and shaping my bone.
