First off, my 3 star rating could easily be a four star. Played May 31, '19 and rough was probably a bit more difficult than normal but I'm certain this is due to the abundance of recent rains. In addition to growing quickly, I suspect getting out just to mow was also a real headache. While I would like to see the clover corralled dramatically, the fairways were in excellent shape and the greens, while extremely slow (for me), ROLLED VERY TRUE. Course was reasonably full but pace of play was just fine - we were done in just under 4 hours. People in the clubhouse were pleasant and courteous of my questions (I'm from Florida). Called and asked when the range closed and the man on the phone said 6:30. I walk into the proshop at 6:02 and the guy in the shop says the range closed at 6. Seems like nobody really knows what's going on there. Very poor customer service. read more

I'd give it 0 stars if had the option. We came from out of town and I was using my daughter's clubs not knowing you're not allowed to share. We had an employee come flying up behind us and was told that someone in are group was a liar and he hates being lied too!!! I informed that employee that the person he was yelling at had no idea I didn't have clubs since I'd never even met the person with whom he yelled at. I'd say get your facts straight before you treat people badly. Then it felt like we were being stalked at the 2nd to last hole with no one behind us was told we'd have to split up. We did pay for separate times and had let someone play ahead to keep it flowing. The course conditions were sub par at best. Do yourself a favor and go to a course that welcomes you and wants to make your experience a positive one. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. When I approached there was an immediate realization how dirty the place was. The starter was very nice, as I told him I was going to walk while my two friends played and he said I was good to go as long as I didn't hit any balls. On the 8th hole an employee came at me telling me he saw me hit a golf ball and that I lied, however I didn't hold a club the entire day. Easily the worst golf course in southern Indiana by a far margin, would leave a 0 star review if possible. Will NEVER. Return to this establishment, rude workers and awful playing conditions led to this. I'd rather go to Taylor's par 3 over this place. read more

This course was nice even in late season play. We came to play with 9 people for a batchelor outing and having three tee times. Staff came off as entitled from the time we showed up, even making a snark comment about the county we came from and how "we don't know how they do it down there, here..." They made us rent their clubs instead of letting us share ours with the couple of guys that came late from out of town. Never heard that before. We rented them just to be able to access the course but did not use them. The two bigger males, who were still in the star wars costumes from Halloween, were rude at the start, the turn, and out on the course even getting on one of our groups for parking one foot off the cart path at a Tee box due to another group coming up the same path on a different hole. I highly recommend making a selection at a course who would want you there not one ran by people who think the PGA will be knocking on the door. The guys who run this course are why some feel golf is a dying game and excludes people. read more

I play here often, I have a membership and just started golfing last year. I've always been treated fair and always walk the course in the afternoon and I never schedule a tee time and they always fit me somewhere. Courses are in ok shape most of the time and people seem nice. read more

I actually came out and played the course today for a 5:20 tee time. I hate complaining about places like this but the past five or six times I've played at Cascades, there's always seemed to be an issue or problem that effects me and my group's play. When I went to go pay for my round before our groups tee time today, we were informed that we could only play 9 holes because of high school tournament play backing up the course. Now that's fine and all, im really not too upset about that part, as I'm cool to be flexible like that, but I really wish I was informed a bit before arriving to the course, as that is why I leave things such as my phone number and email when making the time. The past few times we've been greeted in a wildly rude manner before teeing off, or even when I first started playing cascades and asked about pine/ridge course locations and were rudely responded to about that as well. As I said previously, I really dislike complaining or making poor reviews to places, I've actually never done it before, but after playing today, my entire group altogether questioned why we even keep coming back after dealing with issues round after round. I'm simply a college kid that obeys the rules, never bring in outside food, beverage, or alcohol (only purchase as the clubhouse), we never disrespect the course, and play with great pace. I just want to be able to play at a place that I can have a nice round every weekend or so during the season. I wanted to leave this message to explain why we won't be back, and hopefully things turn around in the future for the better. Do yourself a favor and go play at the Pfau course, or even Eagle Point for a much better round, with staff that actually treats you with value and respect. read more

Cascades golf course is a beautiful place to golf. The course has new fairways, a great staff, and a beautiful clubhouse. Cascades is the place to go for golf in Bloomington and I would highly recommend this place for all skill level golfers. read more

Courses are poorly kept, golf is severely over priced. More than any other course in the area. 90% of the greens are cluttered with sticks and leaves with patches around. There isn't a dress code besides "having sleeves". Unless you're a woman playing then I guess it's okay to not have sleeves. Just not a good bang for your buck, highly suggest going to any other course in the area. i played for the last time there today! read more

My group and I paid 37 dollars for a terrible looking course. Not worth the money and will not be returning.

Course conditions are fine with nothing really to complain about for the price of playing. However, staff is always mean and make the experience an unfriendly one. Don't see myself coming back with Eagle Point Golf Club nearby. read more

Course was in great shape especially for early in the year. Enjoyed my round there and it was overall a really fun day of golf.

Manager at golf pro shop was terrible. We were on the last hole shooting our last shot and the manager comes out and says "did u break your legs" 4 times to get our attention and then proceed to yell at us and kick us out. When asked why are you so aggressive towards customers. The manager replied with fury attempting to blacklist us from every golf course he knew. In conclusion this man is insane and the managing staff should be under review. read more

My review of Cascades Golf course gave them 4 stars last year, but I have to reduce that rating by quite a bit this year in 2012. Sure, we have had drought conditions here in the Midwest this summer like never before...at least for many years. However, the problem is that Cascades essentially stopped watering the fairways and only watered the tee boxes and putting greens. As a result, the fairways are in absolutely terrible condition. In many places there is no longer any grass and you are playing golf on dirt. It will take years to recover from these conditions. I have played two other course within 45 miles of Cascades and they have not let their fairways be destroyed by the drought nearly to the extent Cascades has. The Phil Harris course in Linton, IN is in great shape...they were watering every day of the three days I was there. Valle Vista in Greenwood, IN is also in great shape. There were not watering when I was there, but the fairways were still lush and green...and both of these courses are located in areas that are just as drought stricken as Bloomington and they both cost about the same (or less) to play, so I don't find any reason why Cascades wouldn't or couldn't keep the fairways at least up to an acceptable level. read more
