The price to be able to play was a reasonable price and everyone got to play and it was a set time limit to play. Also I had came for a private party which was a nice time. The workers have always been very friendly and helpful each time I have been here. I really love getting their wings because they are delicious. Was so glad to finally try this venue. My sister and I came for a group event, so it would be different than going on your own. The place looked super fun, inviting and clean. The hosts were all friendly and on top of filling drinks and offering new ones. The golf games were fun, but I do prefer the buckets top golf offers. Otherwise they are similar. The food we had was great. My only feedback is to maybe label what's in each warmer. My sister got something thinking it was fries, but they were pickle fries. My daughter originally wanted to celebrate her 21st birthday at Top Golf, but earlier this year I attended a Yelp event and a Daniel's summer concert at Back 9. Both were such great experiences that I suggested she celebrate here instead. I'm so glad we did! From start to finish, the service was outstanding. I had been coordinating with Asia via email about pricing, setup, and other details, and she was quick, friendly, and incredibly thorough with her responses. Truly exceptional service that stood out to me right away. When we arrived, Meredith assisted me with check-in and was absolutely fabulous, personable, and upbeat. I had requested the ground floor with Asia to make it easier to carry decorations and the cake, but Meredith explained that the first floor was closed. While that was a little disappointing at first, she placed us on the second floor at the very end, which turned out to be wonderful. It felt like our own private area. She even allowed me early entry to the bay so I could set up and surprise my daughter before she arrived. Such a thoughtful touch that meant so much. Thank you, Meredith! Our server, Garrett, was equally amazing. He checked on us often, kept everything running smoothly, and even lit my daughter's birthday cake because she asked him! Thank you, Garrett!!! Hosted a work party event here and honestly didn't even know this location was downtown until I searched for options. I think most talk about Top Golf when you think of golf simulation. It's not in the best part of town however it does have lots of parking which is always a downtown plus. Upon arrival, the front desk (which had about 5 people), wasn't very friendly and when telling them who I was and that I was the one with the credit card for the event, was still not forthcoming with details or information besides what bays I had....even though I had never been there before, didn't know what to expect, how it was ran, or where the bays were located. Honestly, that turned me off. My husband and I went upstairs and found the bar, the bar tender was friendly and we asked him about our space in which he shared more information including our hostess's name and what to expect. Our hostess was great and serviced our group of 30 very well! She was around often which was nice to not have to flag her down. We ordered a little of all the appetizers and they were all really good. Golfing- was fun and the bays are heated which is nice. The server that took my order and brought my drink was friendly and prompt. The wait for my drink was not long. The drink was decent; I'd be open to checking other options for next time. We played on the first level, which was close to the restroom. I don't prefer the first level but it's still a good time. I absolutely love Back 9. We were able to do a winter league here and truthfully they ran it well and it was fun. Some kinks the first year but everyone just tried to relax and hit balls! I came here once for an event and then came back with my group of friends a little while later. I think Back9 is a great way to get a little bit of movement in while also spending time with friends and enjoying some fresh air! I've only been on the first level, but there's three levels of bays so that way there's plenty of room for everyone. I had better luck with online ordering my food this time, but I was also able to better communicate with our bay host about making sure my order went through. I did have an issue where my friend's food was billed to my card but that's easy to reconcile with my friend. I think also since it wasn't as busy, my food came out tasting a little better too. I visited back nine with my adult daughter and my adult cousin and we had a great time hitting balls together. This place has a nice relaxing atmosphere. It was a great place to be able to have something to do as a family but also relax and chat. We had already eaten a big lunch so we only got a snack and some drinks, but I have to say their queso appetizer is a perfect thing to share and was bigger than we expected. We decided to give this place a try as we had to been to other establishments similar to this. So we got a group together to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Reserving online was incredibly easy and we were even able to modify the reservation online. When we arrived they pushed back our time by 15 mins as not everyone was there. The bay was conveniently located on the first floor right by the restrooms so it was the perfect location. Our server was absolutely amazing he helped us get signed into the kiosk, kept up on drink and food orders and even kept adding additional time onto the bay for us. As a downtown resident, I totally appreciate having this close so I don't have to drive all the way to Fishers. I went on a Sunday afternoon with about 6 people and we did have reservations and was able to go to our bay right away with no wait. They were pretty busy and it took some for our server to get to us, but she did apologize and let us know how swamped she was. It really does put you in mind of Top Golf with a more urban feel which I like. There are good food options and drinks as well which everything our table ordered was really good. I came to Back 9 for a team-building event organized by my employer; we occupied the entire top floor with a buffet of food options. I honestly preferred Back 9 to top golf. despite the time of year, everything was heated and so we were nice and warm. Food was very comparable to top golf- a lot of tasty snacks and finger foods. This place ain't your ordinary driving range. This place is awesome. They have bars on two levels that serve drinks as well as food. They have beer, signature cocktails, burgers, sandwiches, wings, pizza, and salads. They have dining room easting as well as bar seating. There are televisions over the bars that usually has sports playing. We made a reservation for a bay, but got there early to sit down and eat. If you eat while you are in the bays then you are on the clock and wasting hitting time. I got a turkey club sandwich with onion rings. It took about 10 minutes to get my food and it was pretty good. The onion rings were the flakey homemade ones, like I like them. And the club sandwich was packed and tasty. I got a spiked apple cider and that was very savory. They have a huge parking lot and it still gets kind of packed. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. They really enhanced my experience. You will find a very small gift rack and a coffee shop on the first floor. They have an assortment of coffee, hot drinks and smoothies, along with bagels. I think that it is Best Friend's Coffee and Bagels. They have two levels of hitting bays with a dining table and booth. If it is your first time there. Then you have to pay $5 to set up a profile. They serve the same food and drinks at the bays that they do at the bars. We did order some drinks while we were hitting. The bays are obviously outdoors, but covered. It was a chilly night when I was there, but each bay has a couple of heavy duty heaters. I still needed my coat and could have used a hat. It was not uncomfortable out there though. Our attendant was awesome and you have a couple of options when hitting. You can just practice, you can try to hit certain points, you can play a game of 21, or you can play specific courses. You can bring your own special clubs or they have men and women clubs. There is a high tech system that tells where you shot the ball, including it trajectory, how high it went and how far. I am not sure it is pretty accurate though because I know I was crushing the ball (the few times I made contact) and it went a lot further than it was registering. The practice mode records each of your hit ball's info and data. We did about an hour on the range, which was good enough for me. We were on the lower level bays, but wish I would have requested an upper level one. Before your time ends they offer you a 30 minute or hour extension, if available. Your attendant will also offer additional time (for a fee). I will admit, this place is a bit pricey, and is not something I would do everyday and it was a special occasion. It was my first time swinging a golf club (outside of mini golf) and I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed my time there. This place is a lot of fun and is a great date night option, as well as a girls/boys night out. I highly recommend checking this place out, even if you are not a golf enthusiast. My only golf experience prior to my visit was putting through a spinning windmill and into a hippo's mouth. I hope to make it back here real soon. read more

We started with 1 hour and extended our time with our waitress when we decided to order food and drinks too. Speaking of which was really good for a golf place like this! It was only lunch but we ordered another order of the short rib tacos because they were so good! The pickled onion and salsa verde with the juicy tender meat were a wonderfully delicious bite. I came here a while back to see some family members play in their band. I've got to say, it's like a small city in here! It's in a neat place just outside of downtown and not hard to get to at all. I only ordered a beer here and had some of my mom's fries, and I was still impressed by the quality. They have lots of beer options. I got a Vanilla IPA if I remember right. Ventured in here just trying to check out what they've been building here. Turns out to be a golfing venue (think Top Golf) A huge complex as you can imagine. Three levels Herr, with bars and find on each floor. I was advised that all floors will have the same layout. Currently the third floor is not open to the public yet, but soon will be. There is an outside patio with stage for live entertainment. There is outside seating on each floor. As I write this I am sitting on the 2nd floor balcony enjoying a drink and listening to the band playing. The weather is perfect tonight. They close at 11 and literally kicked us out right at 11, even though we paid for the time and had the extra time from the manager. Great addition to the west side of downtown that hopefully draws additional venues. We visited for a small team event. Their online booking still isn't working but we got lucky they weren't too busy. I liked the variety of games but our scoring wasn't registering on several hits. No pro golfer here but it was a little frustrating. Ordered a gluten free burger (was told that just meant no bun) along with a side salad with no cheese or croutons. My food came out with a bun and the salad had cheese and croutons. Extremely disappointed that it was so wrong. Service was extremely sub par. Really wish you had an option to pay for the bay separately because I certainly don't think the tip should be calculated based on your total (bay rental plus $5 for each membership fee in your party). Not very impressed with my visit here. We had a reservation for a friends birthday party. When we arrived, we had to wait an additional hour after our reservation time to get our bays. We reserved 3, but were only given 2 because the area they wanted to put us in had a bay out of service. We all ordered food, which took 2 hours to come out. We had to remind the waiter multiple times and the group didn't get all of the food until we had 15 minutes left on our timer before we had to leave. When we came in it was do you have a reservation? I said no right after I said no she talks to the girl she's training and we're all just standing there like well??? Someone in my group goes excuse me we don't have a reservation what do we need to do? It was so awkward the way the lady training the new hire greeted us. Yes, you're training someone but don't be rude to the guests!!! We were all like what the heck? Come to find out it's ok if you don't have a reservation they have 3 floors!!!! So, we go upstairs find out where to go and play and oh course the item I was going to get the quesadillas were recently taken off the menu. That's what I was going to order because I really liked them last time. Nope gone! So, we eat and pay for our bill and the waitress comes back and gets our clip boards. Ok those had the receipts great. Then she comes back and tells us they have a bar downstairs. Basically get up and go! Mind you no one was sitting next to us that was in her area and we were all like good grief. We were still drinking our drinks and had food! We didn't want to go downstairs inside to the bar!
