The fish looked like frozen type. This place was 90% filled with rhe 70 and older crowd. And they didn't have any draft beer...or orange slices for blue moon. But when we came in and asked about dining in we were given a bugged-eyed look and they echoed, "dine in?!" But they said sure and pick a seat. It takes a bit to make me uncomfortable and doubt a person but this was not welcoming. We sat down and when our 2 year old wanted our menu, we asked for a second one and got an attitude from the same person again. At that point I threw in the towel. I can't enjoy my meal with someone questioning every single thing we did or said, especially with an unpredictable toddler. So we put in our order and left. My husband had to go back to get it. So just a fair warning to other families to be prepared for a possibly awkward dine-in experience. They also do not have high chairs - they do have booster seats but they do not buckle down. We for sure would order here again but would plan to carry-out only.

Not only was my order not ready and waiting, it hadn't even been started. On top of that there was a fella waiting (patiently & being ignored by kitchen staff) ahead of me and his order hadn't been started either! Thennn the kitchen sprang to life. Replete with attitude, and excuses. To make things even worse, a Grandpa came in with his two granddaughters & come to find out he had actually ordered before me! The first fella couldn't wait, and frustratingly cancelled his order. Grandpa and I talked while we waited. He was in town visiting family from Kansas City and was understandably surprised by the fact that a slow, small town Casey's was having trouble getting a few orders out, when much busier stores in his neck of the woods preform far better. I agreed and shared my experience working in a fast paced, very busy pizzaria during college. Our conversation ended with "good help is hard to find" of course. The only employees that seemed to care about our situation (by now two more families had come in and were waiting as well), were the cashiers on duty. I didn't catch both of their names, but the most helpful of the two was named Ashley. They genuinely wanted, and tried to help. Model employees both. My order was finally ready around quarter after two. I realize that 20 minutes longer isn't an extremely long period of time to wait, when a place is busy, but it of course wasn't. Not when I arrived and caught them slacking anyway. A piece of advice; if you're not ahead in a kitchen, you're already behind!
