This is a great little gas station right off of highway 71. The coffee is fresh and their pizza is worth ordering.

The pizza is very good i usually order pizza from here a lot. The staff is nice not mean although…read moresometimes they are short staffed. it's not to big and no to small it's the perfect size it's very kid friendly. I would recommend coming here however they don't do triangle slices they do square which is okay. They do takeout and inside you don't need reservations so you can walk in anytime. The lights are dimmed so it will be hard to see.

I hate to date myself but I worked at this Pizza place in High School the very first year it was…read moreopen. It was called Jakes Pizza back then but not much has changed. The pizza, except the crust, is the same. I actually preferred the old crust but this crust is A-Ok too. The sandwiches are still identical and are tasty as well. I still remember making sandwiches back in the day listening to the old jukebox playing "I love a rainy night"...Yep, that's how long ago it was! The Taco Pizza and Oven Combo are my two faves. Ci and I were in town a few weeks ago so I persuaded her to walk down memory lane with me by dining in. We were the only ones in the dining room but I saw a few people come in for take out orders. We had the Taco Pizza which was awesome as usual. It's one of my favorite pizzas of all times. The only thing I do not like is you have to pay for each packet of sour cream. I would prefer a side of sour cream like you would get at a Mexican restaurant. You know, a big glob in a bowl. Because of the 50 cent per small mayonnaise size packet cost, we were both conservative with the sour cream. I would like more hot sauce for the pizza too but this is my "saucy girl" side coming out! Service was top notch. A cute young man waited on us and he was perfect! We had 1919 Rootbeer in a quart, the owner let me plug in my always needing a charge Iphone, the jukebox was playing, and we will be back! They do have a lunch buffet as well which I hear is nice. Come support a local family owned pizza place and venture off Hwy 71 to the right...You can't miss it!

Ok so I said I wouldn't go back. I waited a year and have been a few times since my initial review…read more I obviously caught them on a rough night. Each time I've been back has been great food, great service. Their pizza is awesome. My usual is the bacon cheeseburger and love it. The sandwiches are tasty too!

Stopping in Melrose, Minnesota overnight and trying to find decent food was tough. I had an itch…read morefor pizza which I'm kind of a snob with so with the reviews I decided to check out this place. I walked in and the atmosphere was up and everybody was happy and it looked like a good start. I asked my waitress what she would suggest I order if I wanted to come back every day for the rest of my life and that will seem to be a tough question for her. She made a few crazy suggestions and I decided to go with a purist pizza of meat and cheese. Extra cheese. I also ordered a garden vegetarian delight pizza in order to get my rabbit food in for the day. Both pizzas came out pretty quick and were nice and hot. I was expecting some serious meat and at least enough cheese to cover the pizza so I was very disappointed. I wish I would've asked for them to be cooked a while longer as well because they were thin crust and I like my thin crust crunchy. The vegetarian pizza was OK, again if the crust was crispy it would've been better. They were approximately $20 apiece for the large which wasn't really that large so again I was slightly disappointed there. If I'm ever in that area again, which is entirely possible, I probably would try somewhere different. I will say the place got really really busy in the time that I took to order and eat with the locals. Just cause it's busy does it make it great.
