I was made to wait for a manager, and to cash a simple check took almost an hour in total and cost me a fee (which is pretty standard so I don't hold them responsible for the fee, just the waste of time). For my current car, my dealership convinced me to go with MSGCU and let me tell you, MSGCU is by far the WORST financial institutions I've ever worked with. Their online system is a joke. its an absolute disaster, not only do they charge you $15 extra if you want to pay with a debit card or over the phone at all, you can't set up auto pay the same day you try and make a payment on your account, and when I finally did get auto pay set up through my bank account, they rejected the payment and blocked my account. Leaving me to call them AGAIN (I have now had the car for a year and have had to call them every single month bc of things that are messed up on their end) On top of all of that, for 4 months straight (I was travelling for work so I was paying for the car that I wasn't using, obviously) they were charging me for CAR INSURANCE. You know, the car insurance you need to prove you already have before driving a new car off the lot? Yep... they were adding over $300 to my bill each month and you may be thinking "how come you didn't notice?". I DID. I called for the first 3 months of being overcharged and was told every time that it was "late fees" with no explanation of HOW i was receiving late fees. So I ended up paying almost $1200 to some insurance company THEY decided to tack onto my loan amount? Im absolutely floored by these people - they do NOT have integrity, their customer service is embarrassing, as most of the people have no clue whats going on when I call, and they will do anything they can to scam you out of money by tacking on late fees or whatever charges they deem fit. 10/10 financial advisors would NOT recommend MSGCU. Go to Capitol One or literally anywhere else bc these people are NOT your friend.

There are always several drive-thru lanes open and you never, ever have to wait too long to transact business. Sadly after today I have decided to begin looking elsewhere for my financial needs moving forward. Not only did the supervisor that I spoke to today talk to me as though I was one his buddies which I really don't care for, but I feel like the loan officers and supervisors are more in a rush to get to the finish line with loans than focusing in on the details along the way that made them get my attention as a customer 6 years ago. I felt like I was in safe hands being educated on how I need to move forward with loans. Now I feel like I am just being told what the underwriter needs with no real demonstration and sometimes explaining of what the underwriter would need looks like. Their company standards on who they have hired and their professionalism has changed. So much to the point that I am willing to deal with a higher interest rate than how they talk at you but not to your need. So sad I referred 2 of my family members who are members and a few others. Now I am no longer making any type of suggestions.

Errors denials that threatened my credit rating with delays created. They even refused to open up my debit card limit for a cruise.$200 put all our xmas cruise in jeopardy. My wife died, this was for my 15 year old twins. All CC open with a phone call. Would not RE- notorize a life insurance policy. The teller would not even talk to the original notary about the issue! Told me my MM would cover checks, it did not. Removed 50K she could care less. Removing another 50K when i button up everything with Genysis. 6.75% on Genesis checking, printed new debit card and checks in the office. Had no problem opening debit limit with a phone call. Couldn't be happier. Oh CFCU never sent promised checks till a month later. GENYSIS had some temporary checks immediately. Go to where you are treated best. The sarcastic attitude was not appreciated by one woman.
