They have anything and everything you could want relating to Comics, action movies and even some Simpson's and Family Guy memorabilia! Downstairs is dedicated to figurines, posters and gadgets, whilst upstairs boasts a huge selection of comics, novels and collectible figurines! If you have a friend or kid who is really into this stuff its a great place to come for some gift shopping! I also noticed they've jumped on the Twilight bandwagon (like everywhere else) and sell some pretty cool Twilight memorabilia too! Some rather nice posters of R-Patz are available...swoon!

Some mans rubbish, is another mans treasure is the perfect cliché! The shop itself is pretty dark and drab looking inside. This is a local charity so they cannot afford doll up their shops like other major charities may do. Their merchandise is placed all over the shop in a really disorganised way, but if your looking for something specific then the volunteer ladies will always be glad to dig around for you. Despite its lay out, Dignity Thrift deserves three stars. It's trying to help people through its endeavours and shouldn't be scoffed at because they put all their money into their projects and not into new carpet.

This is the place to get your collectables in Belfast…read more You've probably seen all their larger items outside the shop on your way out of Belfast and said to yourself, 'I've got to go in there' but never got round to it. Set aside an afternoon and walk across Custom House Square to On The Square Emporium. This vintage shore/auction house has some of the most quirky stock you're likely to find anywhere. They have everything form a human skull to retro cameras! I spent around 40 minutes riffling through their various antiques and furniture items. The only ting I would say is that each item seemed quite expensive although you wouldn't expect anything different for collectables. Also make sure you ask the 'all in' cost of items as some have an added buyers premium - this will keep you right. I absolutely love this shop - more of a museum really without an entrance fee, if you're looking for a signature item of furniture for your home then pay The Emporium a visit.

They offer well known brands such as Pandora, Michael Kors, Guess, Pilgrim and Thomas Sabo, along with their own range of jewellery. The pieces on offer are stunning and priced competitively. The customer service is fantastic, as when I enquired about a ring I was after and had seen elsewhere, they didn't stock it but were able to get it in for me the following week. The pieces on show here are fantastic and although my budget rarely passes Ikea its still nice to come and see beautiful original pieces that don't come flat packed in a box. I must also point out that they also sell art, lavish mirrors and beautiful jewellery! If you're looking for a beautiful engagement ring with character and history do have a look as they really are beautiful! (not that I'm pining or anything...)

They also provide a service for sourcing antiques for those in the running for that sort of thing, but not for those of us better suited to an occasional rummage at Ross's.

I ordered a Fender Jazzmaster Elemental in black from Matchetts, as no one else in the UK had any…read moreleft. Not even Fender (Fender still don't). This is due to them being a limited run. When I ordered the guitar, I had an email confirming my order. I also had an email saying they would be in contact with me every step of the way. Only they didn't. I rang up 2 days later to ask if it had been dispatched yet, as I had heard nothing from them. It turned out it had. When the guitar was delivered, it was damaged. There was a crack in the finish between the control knobs. I thought about having it refinished. So I plugged it in and it played really nicely. Unfortunately, on closer inspection the volume knob was bent and the tone control was severely crackling when using it. So I emailed Matchetts and told them I wanted to send it back. I sent them videos of the damage. Matchetts said they could send me the same guitar in white, as they had no black ones left in stock. I decided to return it. They agreed to have the guitar collected and I could have a refund. They thought the body might be cracked due to the damage in the video I sent. I cancelled my over time and waited at home all day for Parcel Force to turn up. They didn't. I rang Matchetts again and arranged for the damaged guitar to be collected from my neighbour. Again Parcel Force did not turn up. Matchetts said they had turned up and neither myself or my neighbour were in on either occasion. However we both were. We also both have iRing doorbells. So every time some comes down the drive, the doorbell records it and the motion sensor alerts your phone. Funnily enough, the doorbell worked on the night I had off, as Amazon made a delivery and it acknowledged they were there and the doorbell rang out when they pressed it. I made the shop aware of this. I rang the store again, they suggested for Parcel Force to pick it up again. I told them I had already lost £150 through cancelling my over time, would they pay if I got it delivered. They agreed they would cover the whole cost. So I went to the Post Office, and they weighed the guitar to be sent by Parcel Force. They asked me the value of the item, I told them and they charged me around £45 for it. That same day I sent a copy of the receipt to the guitar store with the tracking number. A few days later the guitar had been delivered to Matchetts and I had one email saying they had issued a refund for the guitar, and another saying they wouldn't refund me for the full cost of the guitar shipping. This was apparently because I had unknowingly paid extra for insurance to cover the guitar in case damage was done to the guitar in transit. If more damage had occurred in transit to the guitar, that would be deducted from my guitar refund (see their website for returns procedure). So they refunded me around £15. I didn't argue, because I can't make them do something they don't want to do. Even when they break a promise about covering the whole cost of the shipping. All of the communication throughout this ordeal was always instigated by me. They returned my calls 2 out of 3 times and seemed very disinterested about what had happened. Or about getting the guitar back as soon as possible, so they could refund my money. Unfortunately I don't have over £1100 to just throw away. But they didn't seem to care. So as well as the dissatisfaction of their service and losing £180. It has been the worst experience I have ever had buying guitars online. I have been buying guitars online for around 20 years. Funnily enough, they now have a the same black guitar in stock on their website for the same price I paid. Fender still don't have it in stock. So it's interesting how they managed to get a new one when the manufacturer can't, to put one their own website. I'd be wary of using this shop if I was you. I definitely won't be. The service, broken promises and loss of money was more than enough to put me off. Especially as receiving a new guitar is generally a brilliant experience. But then they made it even worse. I did a review on Google and they lied by saying they had given me tracking numbers and all the documentation for the pick up of the guitar, on both occasions. They did not. I would seriously avoid this company.

I think deep down somewhere I know that I am too old to shop in Urban Outfitters but I also have no…read moreshame so I hold my head up high and continue to go. This is the only branch in Northern Ireland and it's an absolute treasure trove of funky clothes, jewellery, accessories and home wares. Clothes are of the leggings/obscure t shirts/floral dresses type so beloved by teenagers (and sad older people like me), while the jewellery is big and funky and best of all affordable. You'll also find sunglasses, hats, handbags (big, slouchy and fashionable) and footwear. There is a section of vintage clothes and jewellery where you'll find one off pieces that you can be sure no-one else will have. Also, there seems to be a perpetual sale so although some of the pieces are pricey, you can still find a bargain. The home wares section has some really terrific stuff - my favourite thing from Urban Outfitters so far is my technicolor Wonder Woman apron. And I am indeed a wonder woman. The staff in this store are all young and funky and the good news are that they are friendly and super helpful, even when the shop is jammed with customers.

Well step inside and leave all sense of what is expensive and what isn't outside with the sane people. This shop is almost the most pointless shop in the world. Basically, every shop has a target audience. And some shops have maybe two target audiences. This seems to be aimed at anyone who wants to come in with money. I walked around the entirety of this shop and absolutely everything had an extortionate price tag, or looked so out of place it confused me. It's kind of an up-market version of a shop selling stuff that as fallen off the back of a lorry, except that the lorry was a very fancy, soft-top BMW and the box was decorated with diamonds. The shop specialises in clothes for men and women, accessories, wallpaper, novelty gifts, music, helmets, art, books... Call in for a look around by all means. If you can work out the point of this shop, answers on a postcard please.
