Just been in to Carthy Jeweller and have never had such an infuriating and downright rude encounter…read morewith an "assistant". She was ignorant from the moment I went into the shop, was most unhelpful and made me feel like I was putting her out by being there at all. I ended up leaving within a minute of being there and won't be going back. Another jeweller who is more appreciative of my time and money will get my business.

They have a pawn shop downstairs on 84 Marlborough St, North City, Dublin 1, and upstairs is a jewelry, so they rob people blind!!!the ones that pawn diamond rings in the pawn shop, when they go to get the diamond rings back, surprise surprise,the main stone is not a diamond anymore, they replace it with glass,but who would even think to check it out,people trust pawn shops and jewelers,right? wrong, bring things in the pawnshop without diamonds, as the diamonds would get swapped,and if you go to carthy jewelry shop,go only if you have cert/valuation for it, and dont live it out of sight!!!!im talking from experience by the way with carthys pawn shop!!! seems to be a very convenient way for them to take in pawned jewelry ,remove the diamonds from them, replace it with glass, and then selling the diamonds upstairs in the jewelry shop,its a win win situation for them!!!'' I would never trust this people!!!
