It has stacks and stacks of games for all consoles. It will give you money for your old video games or you can exchange them for a new or pre-owned game and pay the difference. Game Stop has the same scheme for DVDs which are located upstairs. You can exchanges your old movies for new ones and pay only two Euro. This deal beats any DVD rental place.

To my utter disbelief when I went to put the SIM card in I learnt those purchasing aren't getting value for money. I opened the back, it was absolutely filthy. They hadn't even bothered to clean the inside. Upon turning it on the phones memory hadn't been wiped either. Nobody bothered to set the factory reset button. I returned it immediately, I got my money back but I will not be going anywhere near CeX again. Honestly I thought you had a good reputation. The best way is to get in early, and browse at your own leisure. Second-hand phone prices are insanely expensive, especially for anything with an Apple logo on it. Even someone with not a lot of money can find something here, as their game prices start at just 20 cent! That said, the issues are a problem: 1) Opening hours. Despite the fact that the staff members are often in the building 10-20 minutes ahead of time, they seem incapable of sticking to their 10am opening time. 2) New arrivals of stock are often not placed on sale until the following day, which renders the "check stock" function of their website pretty useless when you can't find what you're looking for. 3) Disorganized queue system. There could be as much as five people behind the counter, and only two of them will actually operate the registers. 4) Disorganized stock. Shelves can go for more than a week without being alphabetized or cleaned. Recently, a chocolate bar was left on one of the shelves, and two days later, it was still there. 5) Suspect buying practices. Three times now, I have been witness to staff members accepting shrink-wrapped products. True, the seller was asked to open the seal on these items prior to the purchase being made, but 18 copies of the same new release DVD, from the same seller, under these conditions?? 6) Price changes. This happens constantly, but the staff never seem to update the price tags, which confuses a lot of people. 7) No phone number on their website. Imagine this; you're travelling from Cork to Dublin and this store has something you're looking for. How can you reserve it when they don't provide a phone number? They have one, they just won't give it to most customers. So in closing, definitely visit here, but do it before noon because the stock will usually be in a jumbled-up state!

Having found a really funky activity-centre I went to the square and filled out my argos form but after queuing for a while I was told there was none in stock and none of the other Argos's had one either! This despite the online catalogue saying it was in stock. Bummer. So, not one to give up easily I headed across to Smyths. What a difference!!! Not only was I met straight away by an extremely smiley young woman who brought me straight over to the display model it was on sale in smyths for €30 less! Cool! As the afore-mentioned young woman went to the stock room had a look around at the mountains of toys. Kind of wish I was a kid again! To top it all off the lady when handing me my item gave me a voucher for a further €5 off! Now that's service! I will be returning, again and again. Argos be damned!

The store is okay, it just feels as if you can't have a leisurely browse through the various sections, as other customers frequently bash into you, and if that wasn't enough, CEX has floor staff to fill the last remaining centimetres of space. There's a point of irritation with this store, however, as they frequently request stock from the Dublin store in Liffey Street, stock which has a better chance of actually selling in the capital, might I add. Based on their stagnant levels of stock, it's plain to see that this isn't working. The staff members seem disinterested and distant, which is never good for any business. Be sure to check behind the counter also, as stock that can't fit on the small shelves are usually hidden away on the floor. Like I said earlier, this store is okayish, but nothing worthy of a second visit.
