When the owner came over, he looked at the coins thought they were fake because of how great of a condition they were in, calculated the value, and offered $900 in total. When I questioned the offer, I was told something along the lines of "if you don't like it, you can leave" and was told to "sell them yourself." I understand a business needs to make a profit, but the offer felt extremely low compared to current market values. Comparable listings were around $2,000 each, with recent sold prices around $1,400-$1,600 each. I wasn't expecting full retail, but I was hoping for a fair offer. I had already received another offer of $1,150 elsewhere, and I felt the way the situation was handled was dismissive and disrespectful. I appreciate businesses needing room to resell items, but customer service and a reasonable explanation go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like my business wasn't valued.

I came in to have my rings resized and soldered together. On my first visit I didn't realize the work would take about a week, and since I had upcoming travel, I came back to drop the rings off on a second visit so there would be enough time. On that second visit I was quoted roughly $100 more than I'd been quoted a couple of weeks earlier for the exact same services, with no explanation for the increase. I was told it would take a week. A week later I called to check on my rings and was told it would be at least another week -- even though I had specifically dropped them off early because of my travel dates, which I'd made clear. On the phone, they acknowledged their mistake and offered a discount to make it right, but the "discount" would have been applied to the already-inflated second price, so it didn't amount to much. When I came in at the one-week mark to pick up my rings, no work had been done to them at all, and no one even mentioned the discount they had promised over the phone. On top of that, throughout both visits I felt very rushed. They didn't even size my fingers for the resize when I initially came in, and they forgot to note the soldering on my receipt -- I had to go back in person the day I dropped it off to confirm it was included, which it had not been. At that point I left with my rings and no services performed, because I simply didn't trust them to handle the job. Between the pricing inconsistency, the repeated delays, the unfulfilled promise, and the disorganized and rushed service, I would not recommend this jeweler.

Offers to buy were on the lower side but I was selling for profit coins that were duplicates. Know what you are selling and min you will take and stick to your bottom line. They will not buy for value of the coins as they have to some meat on the bone to make a profit to keep the lights on. Enjoy the hobby.
