I was in yesterday to get some wine. The guy behind the counter is not the most helpful and definitely not the friendliest. Anyway, I was looking at some bourbon and he starts yelling and two guys who were near the tequila. He was yelling at the top of his lungs and very disrespectful of the customers. I put my wine down and didn't buy anything. This guy needs to take some customer service lessons and learn to be a little more courteous to the customers. I use this store as they have a good selection and is convenient for me. If I go back in and he is there I will walk out. read more

Great selection of bourbons and an ok wine selection for northwest Indiana. In the last year I've spent over $2500 in bourbon and other liquors. I certainly don't expect special treatment....or really even an acknowledgement. But.... Purchased over $1000 in bourbon and scotch a couple of months ago....the clerk made a mistake and didn't charge me for approximately $500 in bourbon. It took me three trips back to pay them. Either they're not very smart or lazy...anyway I paid as that's the right thing to do Here's my problem...I've never been to a store where you're spending this amount and deal with staff that could seriously care less that you're there. They won't help, they will barely acknowledge you when you ask a question and appear very arrogant....which I can't even understand as we're in NWI. I was prepared to buy a substantial amount of wine today at the store in Schererville because of the attitude at highland store. Was thinking 3-4 cases! Guess what, the Schererville is just as bad. The guy behind the counter barley acknowledged me. Want to buy a case price...but the four wines I was looking only had 3-5 bottles so could t get the 10% discount. When I mentioned it, he said oh and put his head down. These guys are complete tools and I'm heading downtown Chicago. Horrible customer service. Terrible store pick bourbons, I've bought multiple. All store picks are trash. I tried to make this business work do to location but after multiple poor quality bottles combined with the owner being psychologically unstable. I have not had the problems that other people are describing. I mainly shop at the Schererville location. But I have been to the Highland location, which has a better bourbon selection. Prices are reasonable given the bourbon craze. read more

I don't know how this establishment stays in business with the EXTREMELY unprofessional bald guy who calls himself the manager. I've been in there twice and dealt with him. Wil never go back! I brought my 80 year old Dad in to pick out liquor for his birthday celebration. My Dad is the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. He tried to have a conversation with the jerk and he wouldn't even look up from his paperwork! Also, he won't give you a receipt because he overcharges. My Dad asked for his receipt and the guy said that people normally don't ask for receipts when buying liquor. I demanded our receipt and upon looking at it noticed that he rang up the more expensive wine twice. He ended up owing my Dad $18 back! DON'T GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS! read more

I'm no one special but I didn't expect to be barked at by the jerk that was the cashier. I told him that I would expect the owner to more polite to customers and he said "I'm not the owner!" I said "obviously ". He then told me to shop somewhere else. And yup, gonna spend my money elsewhere. The owner should know about the bald jerk that is running customers away.
