Everything was great in the beginning, but then something changed.... I originally approached Caspian Services to correct mistakes made by another provider in the creation of my company's new website. There were many design flaws that made managing the site very difficult. When the original company failed to follow through with promised repairs, I sought out another to finish what they started and found Caspian Services, Inc. Caspian was highly rated on other review sites and touted awards and recognitions on their own site. They were also local to my business which is something I typically value when forming relationships with providers. When I first contacted Caspian about the work I needed done on my site, they were very responsive, easy to talk with, and fairly priced compared to other companies ($75/hr., a little higher than the $60-65/hr. I was quoted by others). The work was performed within just a couple days of my initial contact and I was very satisfied with the quick results. I felt that I had found a reliable, trustworthy, and professional company to handle all of my web needs going forward. HOWEVER, after that something apparently changed. When I contacted the company at the beginning of June about resolving some web errors that Google was reporting about my site (thus preventing it from coming up in web searches which kind of defeats the purpose of even having a website), I was told they would look into it but I never heard back from them. When I followed-up by email, I never received a response. When I followed-up again, the response was "I never got that email. I will take a look tomorrow." Tomorrow came and went, so several days later I put a phone call into the company. That call went unreturned. Another phone call a week later and the same thing. My final phone call on June 30 and...you guessed it...the same thing - no response. So 24 hours later I am writing this review wondering what happened. I would be the first to admit if I was a difficult customer to work with, was late in paying, set unreachable goals, or had unreasonable expectations; but I can honestly tell you that none of this was the case. My attitude is pretty easy-going; I always pay promptly; I can live with delays to a certain extent; and I'm very loyal to people and companies that are good to me. I like to praise work that is done well and offer constructive feedback for work that isn't rather than just complaints. Whatever happened between the time the original work was performed (which I was very satisfied with) and the complete lack of response that has occurred since (which I am very dissatisfied with) has left me feeling disillusioned and disappointed. It is as if I dealt with a completely different company in April that was at that time eager to get my business but is now completely uninterested in ever working with my company again. A simple returned phone call or email back explaining that they didn't have time for my project now, were tied up with something else, didn't like my cologne, whatever, would have been better than nothing, but nothing is precisely what I got and I really expected a lot more from Caspian. Needless to say I've been forced to seek out a new company to partner with and give my business and referrals to for the next several years. (One of the reasons for my phone call to Caspian in June was to refer a business associate to them to rebuild his company's site, a project that would have likely brought several thousand dollars in revenue to Caspian that will now go unrealized.) Caspian would have received 5-stars from me had it not been for this most recent treatment. Regrettably, I feel this latest experience forces me to significantly downgrade them due to the lack of responsiveness and punctuality. To their credit. they were very nice, very talented people who did excellent work in a timely way; but to their detriment, they apparently have a lot to learn when it comes to follow-up and professionalism, and this time it has cost them a customer. I found Caspian Services here on Yelp. I liked the reviews and so I called. I talked to several companies but Caspian had the best response and seemed very professional so I went with them. Leonard was great and really listened to everything I needed. There are things that might not be important to some businesses but are crucial to mine and Caspian understood that. They didn't complain. They just went out to solve any issues and they did it well.
