A special thanks to Dan Rettig who scheduled our tee times more than a week prior to our outing. Reserving a tee time is usually just 3 days prior to your day of golf but he let us schedule early since we had a group of 7 and we had to arrange transportation and finalizing who was going to be able to play due to work schedules. It was a slow day at the course. We had no one in front of us our behind us. On the 16th a Karen who was playing in the womans league came by to tell us to get off the course. We asked her to contact management if they officially wanted to remove us from the course. We continued play. A ranger did come out and tell us to leave the course. Even at this time we were not interfering with the league play. We were on approach shots and they hadn't even taken the tee box. In front play had moved to the green on the next hole. So we fell in sequence without interfering with any group. At this point we left the course. We approached the Pro at the pro-shop for an explanation. He turned out to be an arrogant pompous ass. We have started our annual golf trip at Elkdale for years. We would eat lunch there and very generously tipped the waitress. Needles to say we will never come back. There are plenty other courses that I believe will gladly accept our money.
