Raven is a very sweet and generous soul with a child-like energy who means well and wants to be helpful. She gave each of us a can of tea, some chocolates, a shopping bag and her bottle of essential oil that she had just anointed us with. We met some ladies the next day who we recognized from the identical shopping bag. They didn't get the oil but she did give them a stapler. They echoed our sentiments about the reading: I've been to many psychics and card readers. Raven asked for our first and last names prior to our arrival. This made me uncomfortable. I'm not judging her methods but I've never had a psychic ask me this before and it made me concerned she might be doing social media research. I believe Raven has some gifts but she's admittedly disorganized with her thoughts. Her approach and her methods aren't for a newbie. She tries to be helpful but honestly you'll need to pull the nuggets she presents together for yourself. Again, possibly gifted but a lot of work to extract meaning. My friends felt Raven hit on some things for them so I'm not dismissing her abilities, just the super-scattered delivery. Next time I would choose someone different. We planned a girls weekend to Cassadaga and booked 3 readings with Raven Star. She instructed us that we had to pay ahead of time in order to schedule our readings, so we did. No other medium asked us to pay ahead of time. The morning that we were driving to Cassadaga another member of our group got a text from her Husband saying Raven had the flu and was trying to contact whoever paid to reschedule with birthday cake. It wasn't anyone's birthday so we found this odd. Since we didn't want the flu we cancelled our readings after a very odd phone call with Raven and her husband. Long story short, we requested a refund since we never had readings. Her husband continuously texted me with all sorts of stories on why they couldn't pay us that day but would tomorrow... well tomorrow never came, and he tried multiple times to give us phone readings or send us emails with pictures of "our" tarot readings from him. We simply stated again and again that we just wanted a refund. He then said that he would pay me back little by little and it would have to happen over a couple of weeks. We finally had to dispute everything on our credit card since they clearly weren't giving the money back. It all seems like an odd scheme. We came to Cassadega so excited and positive. My wife had visited many times as a child with her mother, and we spent weeks planning. The woman we had booked with in advance had called us that morning to say she was under the weather and couldn't meet. We decided to go ahead with the trip, figuring that a walk around the town and shops still sounded worth it. When we got there, we saw many of the psychics and spiritualists had "walk-ins welcome" signs posted. We decided to walk to Raven Star's, since the sparkly arrows pointing to her house seemed inviting and friendly. Let's be clear: We would not be leaving this review if we had walked over and just been told she was busy, even brusquely. No one would have cared. Instead, when the three of us arrived outside her house and called the number posted, we were greeted with a rambling lecture. Rather than simply say she didn't have any bookings available, she spent an extended period telling us she needed to pray and meditate at least two hours before a reading and chastising us that she wasn't a novelty and no one could do what she does. We aren't punk kids looking for a thrill or a novelty. We are three grown women in our 30s with experience and a genuine interest. You think she could have divined that! In short, don't believe all of the signs leading up to her house. Don't bother calling the number that she has posted on her door. Walk-ins are, in fact, not welcome. You'll be treated like some rude child. I tried multiple times to interrupt her speech with a "alright, thank you for your time", but she couldn't resist repeating herself and going on and on, before I finally just disconnected the call. Ultimately we had a great day in Cassadaga, spent quite a bit of money and each had a wonderful reading with two different women. Raven Star left an ugly cloud over our afternoon, and I felt like we needed to warn people of our awful experience. read more

This was my first time going to a psyhic and my cousin & I always wanted to go. Raven had already wrote down things that naturally came to her about us prior to us getting there. These things included accurate details of our character, as well as details of future events & things to be aware of. (She even followed up with me a few days after for more info.) We did tarot cards & we also used ouija board to channel our deceased ancestors. We prayed as well. She was very sweet, very giving, and never clocked the time we were there. I was really looking forward to my appointment with Raven after talking with her a few times over the phone. Her voice conveyed a transparent sweetness, a care for others, a passion for what she was doing and a sincere intention to be a "servant of God." She passionately described to me her process of submerging herself in a hot bath and meditating over the person's name a night before the reading to gather insights--that to me showed dedication. She did, however, seem to be a little "spacey" and unorganized, needing to be reminded of the appointment time at least three different occasions, which I felt was not very professional. Additionally, her claims of being " a real psychic" and "no one can do what she does" came off to me as bragging and an unsureness in herself. After discovering she had opposition from the members of the Cassadaga community (two of which warning me to not see her), I considered that maybe she felt an unnecessary need to defend herself. From her online photo, I could see quirkiness; perhaps her unconventional nature caused misunderstanding, or possibly strong gifts caused rivalry and jealousy? I decided to keep my appointment and let the reading itself do the talking, as appearances can be misleading. Her house was very unorganized and messy, the ambiance very heavy, and there was very little lighting, except for some natural light coming from the kitchen window. There was debris on the floor and random items scattered all over the main room. She told me later she was renovating. She wore a black dress, that I think were pajamas, and white fluffy boots. The skin under her eyes were puffy, masking some of their kindness. In short, she did not look like she was taking care of herself. She looked tired. The reading itself was very inaccurate, wrong. She may have gotten some of the past correct, but she did not speak clearly enough to really know. I did a lot of the interpreting of her own words for her. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, I asked a lot of clarifying questions, but she never really got it even after that. She told me nothing about the present and the future was very far-out-there, not anything I would likely do given my current being. The reading was about an hour and a half before I decided to leave, but everything she said could have been accomplished in 20 minutes. She repeated a lot. To summarize, I think she could possibly have an empathic gift and was picking up on some of my past emotional energy that was in my outer auric field, but she was not able to discern the actual details and all of it was way in the past. Out of everything she said, maybe only 5-10% was accurate. I think her gifts are extremely muddled right now, because she is not taking care of herself. She needs to do her own inner-work, clean up her life, her surroundings and emotional state, so she can get clearer insight. I hope she will finally accept the help she needs, because she has such a beautiful, caring soul. Her intentions and sincerity are there, but she is just wounded and needs to heal so she can see reality more clearly. Everything I mentioned here, I have already told her. I also informed her I was going to leave her a review and give her a two star rating. I insisted on staying a little longer to tell her how she could improve, because I really wanted her to do well. I really liked her as a person. She wasn't ready to hear it or be honest with herself. She tried to bribe me with a refund to not leave a review, but I wouldn't accept it. I wanted to pay her for her time. When I left, she followed me on the street, not threateningly but to look for anyone who would listen, validate her. She also texted me later, insisting she had more to tell me and there is lots she could teach me. I was in town and I came across Ravens web page which seemed to be very professional, etc. So I called her and she said it was $100 and when she charged my card it was for $108 ok, so I went to Cassadaga which was far for me but I was like what the heck.When I entered you can smell the sage burning, she gave me a shopping bag a can of soda, chocolates and she didn't even do a tarot reading she had like 8 papers where she had written on and she said I'm a great sewer and I'm like no I'm not it's not even a passion of mine she asked for my phone to see a picture of my boyfriend but I kinda got nervous cause she had my phone a bit to long as if she was snooping she's kind but clearly not a psychic I requested a refund for half my money back. She's not a psychic I think something is mentally wrong with her even thou she's very kind. I didn't get the Halloween decorations when it was 4 days after Christmas for her prices to be so expensive she should be very good. She then told me if I want my boyfriend to come I need to buy a home and send him sexy pictures lol, well his ass always comes home and I pay to be my own boss. I did not get the information I drove over an hour to get. Then some people knocked at her door calling for her and a guy for the money she borrowed at that time I was beyond nervous and ready to go. When I asked for a refund she requested the 99 cent bag back and the papers she written on which I guess was my reading so I said if you want it back I need a full refund which I drop the entire bag in my trash because the time and money was for nothing.
