The smells emanating from the kitchen had us ready to pig out...and that we did! Everything on the menu looked so good we had trouble deciding what to order, but we finally ordered the plantain chips, mango wings, slow-cooked goat, fried shrimp and black rice. We tore all that food up and got an extra order of the shrimp. Our servers were friendly and funny and got a chance to meet the owner the owner and he even bought us a round of shots! As I walk in, the nice lady behind the counter welcomed me very friendly and after knowing that it was my first time in a Haitian restaurant, she recommended the Griot plate. I ordered it for take out, there's no dining in, so everything is take out. After I sat down, I started eating this delicious plate...what a delicacy...everything was done perfectly. The Griot was fried but not too crispy, it was tender and juicy on the inside, perfect to be douzed with the sauce that come on the side. There was plizki as well....the rice was moist, well seasoned and plentiful. The fried plantain was still crispy to the bite... The place looked family run and the staff was very friendly in explaining what was what to us tourists.
