Very disappointed with the quality of the bouquet I received. My boss ordered them for my birthday…read more I picked them up on a Friday afternoon, and by Sunday they looked like they had been hanging around for a week. Old flowers. I worked in a flower shop, so I know what that looks like. Brown, wilted petals on stargazer lilies. Dried out, drooping delphinium, wilted and missing petals on pom poms, etc. This arrangement was fully watered on my dining room table with temp not exceeding 64. No excuses, just weary flowers. I do not recommend this shop unless you can go in and physically pick your flowers out of the cooler.

SOoooo..It's mother's day, and i'm a bad daughter-- with the time change and night shift, I wake up and it's 3pm there and i haven't called or sent flowers. uhhh, internet to the rescue! I found 3 florists who looked great on the internet, but were closed (because everything closes on a sunday in small towns--true in holland, true in pennsylvania!). Then, through the yellow pages, Bold's jumped out at me! My friend Nicole worked there in high school, they actually know how to get to my mom's isolated down-a-dirt-road house.. So I called Bold's--not only were they open, she remembered me from 15 years ago, asked how my little sister was, and what I've "been up to".. She told me they'd get gorgeous flowers tomorrow, she could wait, put something "simple and sweet" with the irises and daisies in stock, or she could deliver to her a hanging plant. She suggested a hanging indoor herb garden, since my mom loves to cook (now really, could you get that in a city?! SHE KNOWS MY MOM LIKES HERBS!!), and when I asked if they had anything with hummingbird-attractive plants, it turns out that they had a pot with mixed flowers that my mom's favorite birds love! Yup, undying love's the way to go! With delivery, came to about $50, which any banal internet florist would've gotten out of me too. Of course, at the end I got the standard Honesdale "'So you really never married?! No children, nothing?!" I told her I'm a confirmed bachelor. PS: my moedertje LOVES the flowers, and so do the hummingbirds.

So this review is a long time waiting, I didn't realize I never finished it!…read more I live in Brooklyn,NY and I sent my mother some flowers for Mother's Day who resides in a nursing home outside of Carbondale. I struggled to put in an order on their website, but I gave them a call, and handled it all over the phone. They took my credit card information and the message that I wanted to send, and told me that it would be delivered before Mother's Day, as they didn't work on that day because they're all moms. No problem - love that for them. The large bouquet was $75 before tax, and I told her what colors I wanted for it, and I explained that last time I brought my mom flowers. It was in glass vase and I would prefer something more durable in case she drops it, as her hands are shaky at times. The woman in the phone reassured me that they would take care of it and it's something normal that they do. Let me tell you, they did everything that they said they would. I can't seem to find the picture to post here, which was gorgeous, but the flowers lasted over two weeks and my mother was extremely pleased by them. She kept telling me how everyone was complementing her flowers as others had died. For what I got, I would say that the value of spend was extremely good. I will most definitely be ordering again from them for my next occasion and thank you for having such great customer service, that's hard to come by in this day and age. These people clearly love what they do. so thank you!
