It very much suits the sunny "Sunday Sips" that is heavily enjoyed by people from Melbourne and it never seems to stop the 9 to 5 workers who stay and dance till late. It is very Australian and therefore does attract some "bogans" and some feisty internationals, which can ruin the mood there but most of the time it's friendly and pretty relaxed. I suppose it is definitively Australian so is a perfect description. I do find it a tiny bit expensive for just a few beers at the pub but that adds to the air of class it tries to uphold and meals are large so at least that pub culture isn't lost.

I drank pints and pints of the stuff until my jeans didn't fit anymore, and realised I was better off without such a delicious drink in my life. I moved back to Australia and I thought I'd never drink my beloved Fruli again, but one evening at the European I saw it there on the menu and realised we had some unfinished business together... I'm not a beer connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, but I appreciate the Euro's dedication to bringing the best from the old world to our stomachs. It's a fun spot to spend time picking random drinks and then drinking them, and as such it can get pretty loud later in the evening. The European is unpretentious and welcoming to all - an easy night out. Tip: wear loose pants. You'll need room for your stomach to grow.

The other half of Bluestone is the little den like basement area located down the stairs. It's decked out really well - with dark colours, comfy seats and a relaxed atmosphere that is very inviting. There you can order pizzas and choose from their quite extensive wine list. The pizzas aren't that cheap though. For a similar price I'd say those at +39 have the edge.
