If I could leave more stars, I would. My friend had well a pump problem. After several days and troubleshooting, with no resolution, I was contacted by Joel. I brought Joel up to date and he talked me through on how to fix the problem myself. It turned out to be an easy fix. Joel sounded as happy as I was. I really appreciated Joel's instruction and willingness to guide me through resolving the issue over the phone and at no cost all. Castle Pump & Electric is Great! I have used them to install a GenTran on my electrical panel, install lighting and outlets in my garage and barn, upgrade the panal in the barn, install indoor and outdoor lighting, hook up my hot tub and we are just getting started on this place so more projects to come - Castle is my go to! They came to my rescue when we lost house water - in December! When another plumbing company was telling me my well had failed, the Castle guys changed out the pressure swith and reconfigured the piping and fixed the issue. This was winter of 2021, there was lots of snow, weather was nasty, their truck got stuck in our driveway but they didn't give up on me and kept at it until we had water running again. I was impressed with their dedication! They stand behind their work and materials and made it right when one of the motion sensors and one barn light failed. The team shows up when they say they will or I get a call. Their work is clean and they pick up after themselves. They have always treated me professionally and I found their pricing competitive. While I cant speak to the experiences of the few negative reviews posted here, I can say my experiences with these guys has NEVER been less than great! The door swings both ways and clear communication is important so the contractor understands your expectations. Our house is era 1950's so retro work is a challenge. Do not use this company. We had them come out and do some work for us in late July to move a outlet for us on a wall. A junction box was being worked on by one of the electricians was damaged, caused arcing and making it so 3 other outlets in our living room not work. We called out Wattsmart Electric to come out and repair the damages done by Castle Electric. We called Castle to see if they would reimburse us for damages and the person on the phone immediately became hostile asking if we could prove it was them that did it, which we could, and then asked if the fire marshall came out and stated if it was done by their wiring. The cost to repair the damages was $227.00, and they wouldn't hear me out. This company, and whomever is in charge has extremely unethical and dirty business practices. Castle Pump and Electric is a dishonorable business, they do vey sub par work at outrageous prices. I called Rob the owner and said I have a ceiling fan I need installed. I said the job would involve removing a boob light, going in the attic changing the mount and installing the fan. I also said I had the mount and ceiling fan. Rob said he charges 120 an hour and the job would take 1 to 1.5 hours (180 Dollars). We arranged a time. On Monday two service reps showed up and asked where the green house is for the plants. I knew I was in trouble because I said look at the color of my house its green. (Should have booted them then). The two guys one knowledgeable and the other a trainee it looked like. The looked at the fan and the mount and said they would precede. First they try to tell me the mount did not need changed but I told them they were wrong and need to change the mount. One of them went into the ceiling and then said yep we need to change it. They took out the old mount installed my mount and then came down to install the fan. The trainee was busy trying to build the fan. I told him to flush mount and he said the fan was not able to be flush mounted. I then showed him the directions sealed in plastic and said twell lets read the instructions because the box says it cam. He said oh it can and finish the build. At this point the box they were trying to install was 1/2 inch above the sheetrock in the attic. I explained the box is suppose to be level with the inside of the ceiling. The electrician said no this is code. He wired the fan taking over 30 minutes and tried to install. Then he said this will not work we need to move the box down. he unwired the fan and sent the kid up to try to lower box. The box was still above the sheetrock (picture 1) and he came back down to reinstall the fan a second time. I told them it still will not work for the same reason. After a second failed attempt the electrician said I had purchased the wrong box and he did not no how to precede. I asked how did you not know the box was wrong as a professional. They did not answer. I told them to go to town purchase the right box and finish the job. They went to town got the box (20 dollars at Lowes charged me 50) and finished the job, Unfortunately during the process they had broke the sheetrock by trying to push the fan into the wrong box, (Picture 2) Striped two screws in the fan, Got my access panel really dirty and scuffed the sheetrock on the access panel (picture 3 and 4). So long story short, Techs were there 2.75 hours including going to town and Rob charged 594.00 plus a 3% credit card fee totaling 614 Dollars. Rob then went silent and failed to answer any calls (3 attempts) Failed to answer any Texts (3 attempts and d The office email would not reply to my emails regarding the price. Finally I reached the office lady Liz (the only professional I experienced). she said she would reach out to Rob and ask about the bill. Rob replied to her and said he sent two guys but even if he sent four the job would have been 2.75 hours. I then mentioned to Liz the other areas of concern for their quality. I can't believe the shotty work and overcharging. If you quote 120 and hour and was going to send two people then you should have quoted 240 an hour. Go to BBB website this is not Rob's first experience with this. Oh and the fan is unloved and the pull chains fly around. read more

I had my pump go out to the well.when the kids from castle came out they took a 10 minute look and said my pump was out. really!my house was totally out of water.it took 24 hrs to get them back with a new pump.it took 30 minutes to install the new pump.they did nothing at all to diagnos the problem.they just said I should shovel dirt away from the ruined pressure tank.i have a bad heart and can not shovel dirt.I would have paid them to do it and install a new pressure tank. instead I paid $310.00 an hour and was charged for 2 hrs $650.00 for a new pump.the total came to $1,250.00 for 30 minutes of work.and did,nt even tell me the tank was bad. read more

I would give a minus 5 if possible. Rob (co-owner) came to our home on 8/28/18 to give us a bid for a air conditioner. He gave me a great bid so I accepted & he said "I can perform the service on 8/30/18. Great. So that Thursday I had no contact. Called 2x and left msgs. Also sent 2 texts. NO RESPONSE! I called his partner and he said he would call Rob. Two calls later...no response. I turned down other bids, so now I had to call other electricians to get bids...BEFORE a Labor Day weekend! Obviously no one was answering their phones. Ontop of that, the other 4 electricians I called did not return any of my calls/msgs. Sure, maybe they are busy, but a 1-min. phone call to say "Sorry, too busy" would make me want to use them in the future. So do NOT waste your time calling Castle Electric. They don't return calls, texts, nor keep their word on completing a promised job. Who knows with this work ethic, what kind of work performance you would receive....IF they actually show up. Lastly, this clearly set my whole project back 10 days now. Worthless! read more

I had Rob come and quote a job at my place of employment at Yakima Bait Company. His guys showed up and started work when we agreed and actually pointed out a few other things we had not seen yet. They fixed those at no charge to us. He always stayed in constant contact and make sure everything was taken of just how we had asked. I live out of town but am building a house in Yakima. I needed my well pressure tested and lab tests done for my bank. I called the main line number at Castle Pump and Electric and Ryan called me back. He was nice enough and said he could get out there and do the work on Wednesday. He called me and left me a message on Wednesday that said he had an emergency come up and he would not be able to do my job until Friday and to please call him if I had any questions. I called Monday to see if the job was done and to pay them, and he said he never went to do it because I never called back. When I told him i was under the understanding that I only needed to call if I had questions, not to authorize the work AGAIN he told me " I didn't go do the work because it's a little hard to get paid by someone who won't call you back". The lack of organization, professionalism and customer service is astonishing! I called back and cancelled their service and would not use them or recommend them to anyone. read more

Great experiences with Rob! The first time I called, my electricity shorted out to my underground sprinkler system. He came over, on time and reasonably priced and fixed it. The next time i called, I was having a problem with a light switch that no longer worked in the kitchen. He fixed that problem, fast and reasonable also!
