I want to talk to you about Vance's Heating and air conditioning. I called around and by chance I decided to go with them because it was a lot cheaper to come and assess the problem. They came on time, which was at 8:30. They were very professional and very friendly. I wish everyone could be like that, that's how friendly and they listened to any concerns that I had. There were two gentlemen. They came to put in about 6 electrical outlets. They had a hard time because they couldn't find the exact Outlet that was knocking out a whole row of outlets. So they had to go 1 by 1 checking the outlets. I live in the basement apartment and my daughter has the top and there's a second story so that took about 1 1/2 hours by now. looking to figure out where the hell this damn Outlet is but they found it. they changed every outlet (and) fixed my heater, in the apartment (kisses) That was not on my list but (right on) as they worked we talked about family how long they've been working and yeah they were great they were absolutely great. They left at about 12 o'clock now mind you, they got here at 8:30 and trying to figure out where the hell is this damn Outlet. The grand total was $306. I told my granddaughter about my experience. I had a technician come to do a diagnostic on my Carrier Infinity unit. The technician diagnosed my system incorrectly. They charged me $2,900 for a blower motor. Come to find out it wasn't the blower motor it was the circuit board. It took another heating and air conditioning company to get it right. And when I call to tell them that the system wasn't working they ignored me and didn't care about the fact that I had no air conditioning for almost 2 weeks. I'm very disappointed in vance heating and air conditioning they told me they might not be the cheapest but they have the best customer service. I used to be a customer of theirs and subscribed to their maintenance plan for years. I was generally OK with the overall service for the most part, even though they have had some questionable issues with some of their workers who weren't really all of that competent nor were some of them ethical. I finally lost any and all trust and faith in them this year when I called them over an issue with my HVAC which was discovered by some workers I had hired to do some work underneath my home. I called Vance Heating and Air and explained to them about the problem and that I'd like to have it looked at and addressed to be corrected. The receptionist said that they would go ahead and schedule me for my fall Heating system check-up and address the issue I was calling about at that time. Upon the arrival of the technician, he did the fall maintenance check-up and looked at the issue I had called about. He called another individual with the company and after speaking with him they quoted me a price for addressing and fixing the issue... I agree with the quote and was given the promise that they would be out the following Monday to address and fix the problem. They never showed up and they never called back. I waited to hear back but they never contacted me, finally after waiting over 1 1/2 months I called to speak with the owner. When the receptionist answered and I asked to speak with the owner she told me that the owner "he's almost never here." I finally agreed, after her repeatedly refusing to get me in contact with the owner, to speak with the main shift supervisor on duty. However, she stated that he wasn't available at the moment and would have to call me back. After over a week I have never heard back from him either! Apparently, even after years of being a loyal customer, Vance Heating and Air has completely lost all sense of respect, responsibility, care or concern for their customers. They most certainly do not have any ethics or morals anymore and they provided the evidence to me when I called up today to cancel my HVAC maintenance service account and the receptionist didn't even bother to ask me why, simply because they really don't care! read more

After a fire at my elderly mother's property, she was left without power for DAYS before Pacific Power could help. Vance was there nearly every day busting their tails to get her house ready for the power to be reconnected, working in nearly one hundred degree weather. One of the guys (I think his name was Rory) went out of his way to double check her heat pump that sustained exterior damage and make sure it was safe to turn back on. Lastly, he went above and beyond by replacing a plywood wall we put up to temporarily protect what was left of her personal items in a shed after someone pulled it down. He was kind enough to not only put the wall back up but secure it so well that my husband didn't have to do anything else! All of this was done at the end of his work day the Friday before a holiday weekend. I can't thank him enough for not only his professionalism, but customer service, strong work ethic, and compassion during my mom's time of need. read more

The fan on our central air unit stopped working in the middle of the heat wave. I called Vance the next morning and Carlos T out later that morning. The fan had seized up due to the bearings not having enough lubrication, but he was able to get them moving again and the fan running. We knew prior to this that the compressor motor was leaking oil, as we're on their service plan, but we were hoping to get through at least this summer and then look at replacing the unit. No such luck, we needed a compressor motor. We opted to just replace the motor (not the entire unit) and Carlos T had it up and running shortly after. The entire time he was here, he was polite, professional, and answered all my questions. We've used Vance ever since we had the AC go down in the middle of a triple digit heat wave years ago, it needed a capacitor, and they were the only ones who came out that same day. We've been on their service plan ever since, and we recently had them replace our gas furnace when the older one went out. I always recommend them to anyone who asks! Everyone, from the owner, estimators, techs, and the CSR's in the office, they are all professional, friendly, and just fantastic! read more

Our AC went out and Vance came right out. The tech was super friendly and gave me my quote. They quoted me $4693.93 as they said I needed a new Compressor. I called Thermex for a second opinion. The issue was actually the start component before the compressor. Thermex has us up and running and it was only $90. Glad I got the second opinion. read more

Vance came in and gave me a wonderful quote easily and quickly for my mobile home. The team that came and did the installation we're clean they laid down cloth so that they didn't get my floors messy they cleaned up everything after themselves they cleaned up with the previous AC people didn't clean up when they left. They explained the new controls to me and everything else. Shay and his group were able to get in and out within a matter of hours. Mike was an absolute dream coming out checking on me checking on the unit making sure that when I did have questions he just popped in and answered them he has been absolutely amazing. So far I am over the moon even though I had to spend considerable amount to get a new unit, but it was still cheaper then their competitors. And the unit is working beautifully. read more

Our electric furnace shut Down in January t the the temperatures were running in single digits! I called Vance heating and air and they sent out a technician that day. He had to replace three parts. I checked the cost for the exact same parts on amazon after he left! The exact same parts that he installed totaled less than &125.00 on Amazon! It took less 11/2 hrs to complete the job. They charged us $296.00 for the trip fee and the total bill I paid was &1258.82. He left immediately after I paid him the full amount! I had concerns the following day as the furnace didn't seem to be working properly. I called Vance and told them I was not going to pay another trip fee and the lady I talked to said I wouldn't need to as it was under warranty And the call could be recorded. Two days later they sent the same technician to look at it. He said there was nothing wrong with the unit. Because he didn't have to do any repair work the warranty was not going to cover another trip fee. After not paying for them to come out and recheck the unit they sent a bill for another trip fee of $296.00 plus $23.98 for tax for a total of $319.98! The total cost to us is$1578.80! This was for less than 21/1 hours of labor. I will never use this company again and am reporting this to the BBB and Consumer Protection agency to see if there is any recourse for their way of billing people!!! Cliff read more

I had a terrible experience signing up for the yearly maintenance plan. They took my money month after month but when I called a year into the plan and they never came back after the first time 12 months earlier they said well is your heat pump down? I said no but you never came to maintain it yet charged me for a year. Lady said she would be happy to cancel my plan but I could not be refunded for the 6months I paid and no one came back. She said she could schedule someone to come but but I still had 206 houses ahead of me if I waited. That means all those people paid and are also not getting what they are paying for. Do t fall for plan I had this happen with another large company in tri cities too. It's a scam. I posted on their website the same thing but somehow the review is not there? Awesome awesome awesome!! We had lost our central air during one of the hottest weeks. We had an emergency call out of which I had an immediate response. Found out it was beyond repair and needed to be replaced. Next morning at 10 met with the most efficient and respectful man, Cody Wilson, who went above and beyond our expectations. At first it was a week out to have a new one installed, then he worked his magic and got us scheduled for next morning. Well, he must have felt pity for our situation since we had four small children in the home, and called me 1/2 hour after he left from giving us our (acceptable) estimate to inform me that the crew was on their way!!! I could not be more pleased with their client service and how they worked so hard and quickly to resolve our dilemma!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!! read more

NEVER AGAIN! An $85 service call turned into a $729 bill that resulted in NO FIX for my air system. The tech checked out our heat pump because we weren't getting cold air. After inspecting, he said the problem WAS NOT the air system but the coil in the furnace which is $3,000 to replace. After doing some research, turns out, the coil is only about $900!!! I had another company come out and look. Guess what? It WAS the outside air unit! So, if I had gone along with Vance, they would have replaced the coil for $3k and it still wouldn't have been fixed. Then the tech wanted to do a pressure test on the system and said that would be an additional $600-$800. The other HVAC company that came out did the pressure test at their hourly rate--not at an additional charge of $600+! I feel totally scammed by Vance and to top it off, I have NOT received an invoice to show me why I was charged $729.00 although the said they would send one and this service was done back on Aug 5th!!
