I was surprised to see that it had gone, but Inside Out Retreats more than makes up for it. It is essentially the same format, but to a better degree. It is beautifully laid out, and so tranquil. There is not a huge selection of crystals here, but the ones they have are extremely good quality. I saw some amethyst stones here which are called 'Dragons Eggs', named because they are tumbled to the extent that they look as smooth as an egg. Towards the back of the shop is a selection of meditation mats and cushions which are all made from beautiful silk patchworks. They also stock an extensive amount of Dr Hauschka here. Upstairs is where the alternative treatments take place. They include healing massage, counselling through visualisation and raindrop therapy. The owner (who also does some of the treatments), was friendly and welcoming, so much so that I had to fight the urge to set up cross legged on one of the meditation cushions and set up home!

My face doesn't feel clean and there was no blackhead extraction or skin analysis before the start. Felt very gross and wish i had not gone for the facial. She did warn me that i may get some oil in the hair but the key word was some-not to look like i bathed in oil. Guess it would be okay if i booked late in the evening and was going home or even if i brought a hat with me. Anyhow, enjoy your massages - hope they are better than the facial.

She first massaged my head and then I went on the table for the full body. After that, I had a shower/steam in the steam room. My skin was so much better the next day, the oil they use is amazing! In a previous review I read someone complaining about the amount of oil, but obviously an ayurvedic facial is different than a facial with extractions you would have in a beauty salon for instance. The oil did wonders for my skin and hair. I highly recommend this retreat!

Apsara Thai Spa is a nice little place. However, I'm going to explain my review…read more So, I'm an American and I needed a good, deep massage after walking around London so much. They have good prices for a nice quick massage. It is a nice and spacious facility. However during the massage I told her I wanted strong pressure and it felt like she was just rubbing me. So I reminded her I wanted a harder massage and she went hard for about 5 minutes and then back to the normal pressure. I didn't want to keep asking her, so I just left it alone. They also have a sauna, which is amazing. I told them the day before I wanted to use the sauna afterwards. And thus, I had to remind them again I wanted to use it and it wasn't on. So they turned it on, but it takes about 10 minutes to heat up and which they used my complimentary 30 minutes to heat the sauna up. So basically I only had the sauna for 20 minutes. But all in all, if you need a last minute appointment, this place isn't too shabby. Just expect to not get exactly what you want.
