They make room for the biggest, most ridiculous games like Gloomhaven and other "big box" stuff. They're also priced extremely competitively. While they can't necessarily match Amazon for every price, they certainly do with most of their stuff. They have a lot of games Amazon Canada doesn't carry.

For instance, they carry a selection of Monopoly games that I hadn't even dreamt of. I'm talkin' 'Chocolate-Opoly', 'Brew-Opoly' and 'Dino-Opoly'. Where else are you going to find a million different kinds of one of your favourite childhood games? Plus do you remember the glow-in-the-dark stars and planets we used to post on our ceilings growing up? You won't find Monopoly here, but you will find the popular games that many of the large toy stores don't carry like Dominion, Munchkin, Catan, etc. On the back wall there is a solid selection of Ravensberger puzzles and in the front corner of the store has a healthy comic book rack. The far side of the store contains Warhammer paraphernalia. They have three tables set up with terrain along the far wall. The majority of the Warhammer stock is 40K so if you're a base player, you'll find the selection limited. I overheard the owner talking to some customers that he likes to hear what people are talking about before he orders stock in so if you want something, ask.

I've never seen such variety and craftsmanship. I brought a friend who isn't a collector and he said he could stay for hours. It was just amazing to see from an art standpoint. Bought some reprints for dirt cheap. I like to hang them on my walls. They had an X-Men #1 from 1963 reprint I've been looking for for a long time. They had lots of them...I regret not picking up another for a friend while there. I totally agree with other reviewers in here: I love the way they have organized the shop. I love this store, this is a huge inventory of comics, action figures, bobble heads, t-shirts, books, etc from DC to Marvel Comics. My inner child was running around the store, screaming, and summer salting, thank god my adult self was there to keep her in check. This store is so well laid out, I am not a comic expert but I do know a well organised and easy to find lay out. There is an area, just dedicated to Marvel, to the Hulk, to Trekkie fans, to Star wars fans, to Walt Disney fans. There is also a very nice selection of collectible comic books hanging behind the cashier's desk, the top row being hard to get comics from the 40s. WOW. I was absolutely thrilled to find this location which is in fact the only location in Calgary so if you have a comic obsession you know what dimension to beam yourself to.
