Our family has been with CASY preschool for the past 5 years, and as of today, our youngest child, is graduating from OPK. While I am so delighted with the past school year, I am so very sad to leave OPK and the "dynamic duo" of the two OPK teachers Miss Terie and Miss Sherry behind. Both of our children have been so lucky to have been educated at CASY. I am forever thankful that an acquaintance of mine originally recommended CASY to us, and when it came to the last pre-K year she wholeheartedly recommended we choose OPK. As a result, both of our daughters had the opportunity to be in Miss Terie and Miss Sherry's Older Pre-Kindergarten (OPK) class. During the OPK years both of my daughters emerged from their shy public selves, and became more confident and outspoken. Our shy daughters are no longer afraid to talk in front of their teachers and peers. My youngest daughter even had a lead role in one of the three OPK plays put on during the year. Both daughters loved being in these OPK plays, and these fun and engaging activities have given them confidence in both speaking and singing in front of others. During the OPK year the academic abilities of both my children grew by leaps and bounds. In particular, I have been so impressed with their reading abilities. Both of my children emerged reading Bob books so well! In comparison, I have seen many graduating 6 year-old kindergartners in our public schools who are not even reading at this level by the end of the kindergarten school year! The magic of CASY in general, and OPK in particular, is that the students have so much fun while they are learning that they don't even realize that they are working. I think the artistic emphasis is part of this magic: my children have so enjoyed the arts and crafts in school and it has allowed them to be creative and to exhibit their own artistic talents. Both of my daughters were given the honor of creating their own special drawings which were reproduced on the OPK play bills. One of the truly special things that Miss Terie and Miss Sherry do so well is keeping parents informed of their child's progress, including even the "working" parents. I have so thoroughly enjoyed their weekly OPK update emails with many photo attachments. I have shared these with both family and friends who are so impressed with all the many activities that these fantastic teachers get their students to do during the week! I have actually printed out each weekly email and have kept them for both my daughters to be able to look at when they are older and be reminded of their wonderful times in OPK. These emails, as the commercial says, are priceless!! While each year at CASY has been a valuable one, I think the truly magical year for both of my children has been the last year of OPK. This is the year where they have both emerged fully ready to go to kindergarten. This is a truly special year that, unless you experience it, you cannot begin to understand how so many things happen that translate into elementary school success. As an example, my oldest daughter learned how to read in OPK, and now she is just finishing first grade, and is easily reading at a 3rd and 4th grade level! She read over 750,000 words in the Scottsdale public school district's Accelerated Reader program this past school year! I attribute so much of this reading success to her year in OPK. Kindergarten did very little to promote her reading abilities beyond what OPK had already done. Moreover, my oldest daughter enjoys elementary school tremendously, and has been confident and ready to easily master every aspect of the elementary school experience. I am confident that my younger daughter will be just as ready. To CASY and OPK we are forever indebted. read more

We have been thrilled to have our daughter begin preschool this past year at CASY. She joined the mini-2s class with Ms. Krisse and Ms. Perla at the age of 20 months, and we are amazed at the way she has developed over the course of the year. Our main goal for our daughter starting preschool was for her to socialize with other kids, but her experience at CASY has provided so much more than we ever anticipated. It has been so fun to see her language develop, create friendships, and excitedly show off her new knowledge of numbers/letters/colors/etc. Ms. Krisse is amazing with these very young people, keeping them engaged in fun creative learning activities and providing each child lots of individual attention and feedback. Volunteering in the classroom was so much fun, and it has been so rewarding to see our child's enthusiasm for going to school! All of the teachers and staff are very friendly and warm. Both the owners and teachers maintain regular communication with parents and they provide lots of opportunities for parents to be involved. Everyone puts a lot of effort into going the extra mile with special activities and learning experiences. We can not say enough good things about this special place, and we are looking forward to spending the next several years with our children attending CASY. read more

We recently moved to Scottsdale from Ca and our 2yr old had never been to preschool. We were a little worried at first and not sure she was going to like it. We toured at-least 10 different schools and CASY was by far the best. On our 1st day of the tour (John, Owner) introduced us to our daughters would be 2 yr old teacher (Ms. Krisse) as soon as Ms. Krisse approached and picked our daughter up we knew we found the right spot. She was very engaging, caring and our daughter knew right away she was not a threat. That made my wife and I feel very secure and at ease with bringing her to CASY 3 days a week to start. Well my daughter just finished the 2 yr old program and she loved it. She is now enrolled in the CASY summer program and we thought Ms. Krisse/Mrs. Perla were great well the summer school teacher are great too! I'd like to say that academics and our childs learning/development is our main priority but they are not, our biggest concern was if our daughter was going to be comfortable with the staff/programs and that she would want to return without throwing a tantrum. We have a been a part of the CASY family for the last three years, and the best way to describe the school is by calling them family! All of the faculty treat us that way. We are always greeted with a warm smile upon entering the school in the morning and leave the same way. The curriculum is on par for each age group. As a former teacher, that's an aspect of preschool that was very important to me. One of my favorite things about the curriculum is the application of fine arts. Each month, the teachers present their students with an Art Masterpiece and each child recreates that based on their own interpretation. The classes (starting at age 3) put on wonderful plays, too! The children memorize lines and sing songs and perform for all of their parents- giving them the gift of confidence standing in front of a group without them realizing it. My children love going to school and have thrived, thanks to all of the wonderful teachers and faculty! We love CASY and are so thankful we chose this preschool for our children's early childhood education. read more

CASY is a top-notch preschool with friendly staff and excellent curriculum. Our family has to leave Arizona for jobs in another state. CASY is definitely the place that we will miss the most! We toured at least ten schools before deciding to send our daughter to CASY. When she started at 2.5 yo, she didn't speak any English and was very shy. Teachers in the Twos classrooms, early morning drop-offs, and after-school programs were so nice, welcoming, and patient. She had a smooth transition from home to school, and became very comfortable and confident at school. I was constantly surprised by how much our daughter learned from school - art, music, gymnastics, language, and even math! She loves the school and all of her teachers, and develops special interests in arts and crafts. We can't say enough how lucky and grateful we feel to be part of the CASY family! read more

Both of my daughters have attended CASY Preschool. We could not be happier with our experience. Both girls have loved their teachers so much, and my oldest, now in kindergarten, still talks about her CASY teachers all the time. My youngest will be in the 4s class next year and we are actually sad that it will be our last year with the school. I wish they were a full elementary school so our kids could continue in this wonderful environment. Every teacher we have encountered in the school has been excellent. Caring, qualified, and dedicated to making our childrens' learning experience successful and FUN! We live in NE Phoenix and drive about 15 minutes to get to CASY but I feel it is well worth the drive, and I would not consider sending my children anywhere else. I am so unbelievably impressed by this preschool! My daughter currently attends a 3s room, and I am amazed at all the fun and exciting things that she does each day in class. Whenever the calendar for the next month is sent out, I instantly forward it to my sister in CA because even she can't believe all the cool stuff they do in class each month. I sent my daughter to another reputable preschool in Scottsdale the year prior and was unimpressed, and I was resigned to the fact that I would not find a preschool that would meet my clearly idealized vision of my own 1980s preschool experience. But then I found CASY, and I seriously could not be happier. My daughter absolutely loves her school, and is so excited to go to class every day. My daughter attended Casy Preschool this year and, as a parent, I couldn't be more proud of her development and attitude toward school. She absolutely LOVED going to Casy and is ready for Kindergarten! The year was filled with plays, magic shows, holiday shows and even "the reptile man"! I have to give credit to the WONDERFUL teachers that made it fun and exciting for my daughter and the rest of her class. The level of experience and professionalism was through the roof. They always had kind and helpful things to say throughout the year and I couldn't have asked for better! CASY has exceeded our expectations in every way. Our twins started in the mini 2's at CASY and are wrapping up a phenomenal PK year now. For 3 years, we have had above average teachers, very hands on owners/directors, a solid curriculum building a love for learning in our kids. I remember when I was selecting a pre school and how hard the decision was & I want to share my experience with CASY so that others can hear how fabulous this school is. We are sad to "graduate" and leave the campus, but know that our children are beyond prepared to start in Scottsdale schools. Thank you CASY team for everything you have done for our children. My daughter just graduated from preschool today and I could not have asked for a better experience. Her teachers were 2 of the best I have ever seen and the school developed my little 4 year old into a young lady ready for Kindergarten. I loved the plays, the holiday shows, the field days and everything else they do. Lots of parents volunteer because everyone cares about the kids. We even came in late because I pulled our daughter from another school after seeing that she wouldn't be challenged. I am ecstatic at what the school has taught and exposed her to in just one year. We sent our 2.5 (now 3) year old to Casy and started with 2 days/week. My wife and I have been beyond happy with Casy. Our daughter's teachers this year, Ms Suzie and Ms Jessica, have been amazing. Our daughter has learned so much...we love seeing all of the amazing art projects she brings home, and hearing about all the fun she has while she's there. They really do care about each of the kids and we're so happy we chose Casy. They seem to make things fun and exciting for the kids. Can't say enough amazing things about Casy. My son is in his 2nd year here, and he LOVES it! We struggled with him not liking daycare, and he's someone who is shy when he doesn't know people, but from day one he's sprinted into the classrooms and hugged on his teachers. This school feels so homey, and like an extended family. Education wise, I'm AMAZED at how much he's advanced. He knows words and songs that I never imagined him knowing at his age. My daughters first year in PreSchool, in the 3's class, she came out being able to write all her letters, know the sounds they make and is beginning to string letters to make words. C.A.S.Y. Preschool is as good as it gets! My daughter was in OPK (optional pre-kindergarten) and she is absolutely ready for kindergarten come August. My son has been going to Casy for over a year now. Casy is a great preschool with wonderful teachers! The teachers truly know and care about each child. We toured several schools before deciding and this was the winner (even so its a bit farther from our house it's totally worth the drive) The teachers are amazing, fun & loving.
