The first time, they did not let us see while they did the exam, they brought him to a different room. The second time was for an injury check-up and they did let me stay in the room. The care was good both times, but it's still $100 for a basic check up, and both times it took a long time to be seen. So a 5 minute visit with the vet ended up taking an hour, just with the waiting. That part needs to be improved.

I brought in my Ragamuffin, who tends to be a bit of a diva when it comes to grooming, and the results were beyond my expectations. The care and attention they gave her were evident as soon as I picked her up. She came home looking absolutely gorgeous--her fur was soft, perfectly trimmed, and she smelled amazing! Even more impressive was her demeanor--usually, grooming leaves her a bit grumpy, but this time she was cuddly and happy, clearly comfortable and relaxed. We moved and my cat HATED the new vet. I had to be in the room with him to be examined. That vet sold his practice and a new one moved in. So, same building, same staff, same furniture. My cat was absolutely fine with the new vet. I expected that this would be a great clinic for my baby. That assumption was wrong. The staff fawned over my son's cat. She's pretty. Lots of compliments for both her and my son. My cat they wouldn't even take out of the carrier. They told me he had been sedated for the last vet and that they would require that for my boy. The last time my cat saw his vet he had a teeth cleaning so yes, he had gabapentin ahead of time. This has all left me feeling offended for my cat. The geriatric blood panel for my son's cat was nearly $400. It'll take a week for them to get the results back. Then we have to call in and get the results. Which sucks if phone calls are hard on you.
