Not only do they have great drinks and good entertainment. A place to sit on a Friday night. But the drinks are cold and the clubs presents in the community is large. Not only do they give to a national scholarship foundation they also give statewide but most importantly they take care of their City. They have a lot of local scholarships for kids, as well as programs that benefit the less fortunate. Our membership is strong, if you'd like to become one? Come on in. If you don't know anyone, just tell Angelica at the bar you want to be a member. She will sponsor you or gladly find you to sponsors to start you on your journey.

Lol those of us who were not ready to call it a night, headed down to the main level for dancing and Karaoke. Let's just say we closed the place and my feet will never be the same from so much dancing. It was an amazing night! I see a membership in my future.

A couple venues were not even Art Deco. Further, the restaurants by and large missed the mark. They could have had menus, food or marketing materials to entice you to come back. Instead, they seemed largely inconvenienced by the wine stroll crowd. Centaur was offering a cheap spiced red wine and a small brownie. Really? There was NO bartender when we got there, but rather a customer who had been told to "hold the fort." At Louie's, the hot Eastern European blonde bartender ignored us entirely as she looked at her iphone and tugged at her tight leather skirt. Others got a small cracker to eat. Centre Park Bar served nothing, and the bartender couldn't uncork the bottle, so just pushed the cork into the bottle. So much for a quality wine tasting. The exception was Vincente's Cuban restaurant; friendly staff, full sized sangria sand actual food samples! Thanks for a ray of sunshine in an otherwise lackluster event. Advice to other....just do your own tour...it will be cheaper and more filling. We did meet others and had our shared critiques to bond us. Overall though....a bust.

My rating is based on a new veteran who has never been to this post before. Long timers at this post would rate this much higher. Cramped but adequate sized private lot north of the main area of Royal Oak. Inside is a bright, clean, large clubroom, with a central bar. Good cocktail choices, okayish beer selection. Okay bar food choices, and monthly special dinner events. The staff are douches. One accused me of lying, in front of many members. about renewing my membership online because it was too newfangled for someone to really do that. Anyone who wasn't born and raised down the block and then joined the post in the 80s gets slow and surly service. The members are the same, they turn their back on anyone who hasn't been at the post for 30 years. I discussed this with the commander (the Legion version of a president), and some of his leaders, they agreed it is a problem, but it obviously is not going to be solved. I haven't been back for almost a year, and have decided to start trying other posts in the area.
