I looked it up to see how far of a drive it would be from where we are currently visiting, and saw the sad news . My parents would bring me and my siblings there in the 80's and it was magic. My siblings and parents were everything to me and here we were, walking into 8 year old me's version of Disneyland. I was so young but can still remember it vividly, from the glass and bells on the front doors, to the wood decor. We would get ice cream cones called The Big Olaf, in freshly made waffle comes with a little marshmallow on the bottom of the cone. There were scratch and sniff stickers, puffy stickers, jelly bracelets and vintage candies. There were candy sticks that tasted like root beer, and there were postcards, and little maple syrup candies. The wind chimes were so amazing to me. I do not know of a place that ever made me feel happier and I am grateful to have grown up in a time that had these memories to make. I am not a great communicator but this review comes so easily for me to write. My parents gave me $5 and I left with a paper bag full of the greatest treasures! I hope every child has one memory to cherish like mine. If anyone ever sees this review, thanks for reading!

My experience here started with me trying to get my grandmother's painting framed. I brought it in…read moreand we established what frame would best suit the painting. Fast forward a week and I go to pick it up, and here is where the experience goes downhill. Upon arrival to pick up the frame and painting I noticed a half dollar sized brown smudge in the upper left hand corner. Upon inspection I came to the conclusion that it was possibly poo. I asked the owner who I had been dealing with exclusively what she thought it might be or come from and she became irate and said that had been there the entire time. Excuse me? But I don't think I would have given you a painting my grandmother had made with poo smeared on it. She then decided to curse me out, threaten me and accuse me of trying to get out of paying for the framing. The audacity that I would somehow smear poo on my grandmothers painting to get out of paying for a rather average frame job is insulting. Overall, terrible experience with the lack of respect to others and customer service. I was simply trying to figure out how poo could have possibly gotten on the painting. Thanks for ruining my experience and my painting.

Although they do have occasional sales, I personally find them to be generally high priced, but I'm sure there are other people that find their prices to be okay. That said, I do recommend stopping in for the experience and judging for yourself. There is plenty of parking, handicapped accessable and it has clean public restrooms. The helpful and courteous staff was right there when I needed assistance. Lord of scents and styles for your candle shopping. Seriously, check out the clearance area.
