I found Wendy's place up in Manchester and she is AWESOME!! A great selection of unique and interesting frames, and she has such a great eye for just what it will take to make a piece really pop. I just picked up the first four I had her do and they're simply wonderful. She really takes the time to work with you and get it just exactly perfect. Pricing varies, you can find candles for $5, and paintings can go up to $500, probably even more depending on size. Staff was pleasant and checked in when we entered the shop. I find the prices for coffee and light pastries to be very expensive, and the service not that great, although there is careful attention paid to keep it all local. In comparison to the tsotchke knick-knacks of the Vermont Country Store and the Weston Village Store, the fine crafted pottery, jewelry, glasswork, and photographs are a breath of fresh air. All the pieces, while expensive, are truly a sight to behold. And there are a handful of intentionally lower-priced items like note cards and glass rings for sale, too. For locals: the Fuji'is host the Weston Film Club for monthly viewings and discussions on foreign and independent films. They also host a book club and open up the space for other community meetings. I highly recommend a viewing (usually during the week) of the Film Club. Pop in to browse! The location right on the West Village Green can't be beat! While this is a favorite, I treat it more like a museum to view the artwork, as there's little there that I can afford there and I've never been wowed by the hospitality of Mrs. Fuji, who's usually behind the counter of the cafe. Look elsewhere for food. Look no further if you need to check your email and want to be inspired by the artwork.
