Antionette's at Masso's Deli This review is specifically for the deli - our family has been patronizing it for years. It's time to highlight two aspects: service and affordability. On Saturday (8/12/2023) we had some family over and called in an order of 5 sandwiches. Special thanks to Dawn who had them ready by the time I arrived to pick them up - only about 15 minutes. The quality of the food was appreciated by everyone partaking. The consistent quality of the food and the timeliness of the order makes the deli at Massos an easy choice. As far as affordability... if you haven't looked at the menu recently (or ever), now is the time! A cheesesteak sub for $6.25? Are you kidding me? Elsewhere that's easily a $10-$14 purchase. This is just one example. Take a look at the menu (up-to-date pictures attached) and decide for yourself. You will not be disappointed!

I stopped in for a cheesesteak sub with hot peppers. Wow. Delicious just as I remembered it was. We use to go to Masso's almost everyday back in 1977 and on for many years, we worked close by. What a great deal for the sandwich, I wish I was going to be here longer so I could eat every day, stop in and grab one , you'll love it

This review is for the catering hall aspect of this business, and from a guest's POV. It does not in any way suggest that the wedding reception was bad. The parents of the bride were gracious and generous hosts, and a great time was had by all due to the stunning newly wedded couple, and their happy guests. The reception was held in the catering hall, where there seems to be ample space and staff to host 2 concurrent events. This space seemed out of date, but clean and utilitarian. The front garden section seems like a nice spot for wedding party photos. I'm not an expert on catered food( thank God) but have to admit that quality was lacking. I won't even comment on the apps and passed hors d'oeuvres, but the main dishes need to be addressed. Crab cakes, if I was blindfolded and asked to taste I might say it was some type of seafoodesque cake, but not crab. Unless by crab they meant shells and other unused parts. Chicken parm, not even served with pasta and a disgrace to Italians everywhere. Beef, no, I won't even bother. The service aspect was fair. The many servers seemed moody and unfriendly, although efficient. I thought the began to clear things too quickly, be it between courses or at the end if the night. So the big question I guess is if I would recommend this spot. Not knowing the cost of this per person versus other venues it is hard for me to say. I will say that if I were to receive an invite to attend another event here I would not be excited to partake in the food. A tasty lunch elsewhere then I'd concentrate on the hopefully open bar. 5 Yelps for the newlyweds, but only 2 for Masso's

I returned it to the store the day after Christmas the manager came to the desk was very rude laughed at me, turned around and told the guy give her a credit. Did not even try to make up for the fact that my entire Christmas dinner was ruined. One star is too many for this store. I've shopped there for years when they had their first bouts in Washington Township and that is how I got treated. They never called me even though the guy working at the courtesy counter said he would leave a note for the owners to call me with my phone number. No one ever called me. They don't even care what somebody went through and how their Christmas dinner was ruined. They are horrible.

It's certainly not as bad as the one review makes it out to be, but it isn't ideal. The regular/non-organic produce is much better at acme, as is the meat. But acme prices on everything else is much higher. Who wants to go to two food stores. So I assume people go to shoprite due to the price. The prepared foods are mediocre. The hot foods and salad bar look like a school cafeteria. But this is apparently good to many people, so it works. Shoprite does put a considerable of effort into stocking alternative diet food items, such as organic, gluten free, vegan etc. they've really come a long way in recent years, especially with having dedicated areas for it. I eat organic and gluten free. I can manage to eat solely gluten free shopping here, but could never sustain myself with their organic produce. It's atrocious. It's generally old/moldy. I'll even place something on a separate shelf if I find a moldy item (every trip so keep your eye out). If I had a web and in my backyard I'd shop there once a week, but I don't. So this will have to do. And it's just fine. FYI: Zallies shoprites have much better bakeries than Bottinos. No comparison.

I remember, as a 13-year-old, hating the same chicken parm buffer dinner with the lifeless potatoes and the tasteless green beans. So when my then-fiance suggested Auletto's as a possible wedding venue, I balked at the idea. It wasn't until we sat down with Jim Auletto, the owner, that I realized I had no way of appreciating Auletto's for a wedding from the lens and experience of a 13-year-old. We had our wedding here in January 2008, and it was such a memorable, beautiful, wonderful experience! From day 1 when we first sat down with Jim to the last few minutes in the space the night of our wedding, the staff had been so helpful. We had a lot of our own ideas that we wanted to bring to the table, and Jim has done a LOT of weddings there - he was able to lay it out for us what he's seen work and not work in the space. We brought in outside lighting, but decided to go with their preferred centerpiece floral vendor rather than taking on that task ourselves. Even their wedding cake vendor, Termini's, was fantastic. All we did was email them a picture of what we wanted and our cake type and frosting picks, and that was it. The space itself offers a really unique wedding experience, particularly when it comes to their wine cellar for the cocktail hour. Our guests raved about they ceremony overlooking Lake Almonesson in the Terrace Room, then heading downstairs to the wine cellar, and then back up on the other side to the fully decorated Grand Ballroom. It was a very neat series of transitions. I'm sure Auletto's is lovely in the spring and summer, particularly for outdoor weddings and with their new outdoor tented area, but the dark interiors with hints of japonnaise decor suited our winter wedding perfectly. I realize now, that when you're paying the big bucks for big ticket events like a wedding, the food is a LONG way away from the default booster association buffet options of middle school. The menu choices are many, and our tasting, as a result, was delicious. The night of the wedding, the food was impeccably prepared with generous portions, and the wine selections perfectly paired. We went with Filet Mignon, Chicken Savannah, and Sea Bass- my husband and I can speak for the filet (mouthwatering, buttery, HUGE), but our guests loved the other two options as well. Auletto's was also quite accommodating to any special dietary needs. The prices do vary by season; peak wedding months will certainly pay more. But since we were in the lowest-off-season wedding month, Jim threw in a lot of deals and extra upgrades to keep our business, making our wedding truly beautiful and memorable as a result. In fact, Jim made the whole wedding venue process so easy, it was the one part of our wedding we didn't have to devote much stress to - we knew we were in good hands. I definitely recommend this to other NJ brides and grooms looking for an elegant venue for their wedding.
