Don't be too impressed with the good reviews here, all of which are old. Maybe something has happened again, resembling what is described in a 2016 review, and they had a good cook for a while but that person has left. The brunch they prepared for our group was not entirely horrible. The coffee was good. The food was both mediocre and stingy. You know what quiche is -- it consists mostly of the custardy filling, in a pie crust. Their "quiche" was hard flavorless balls of bread dough, each containing about a tablespoon of dough. The croissants did have a respectable amount of thin-sliced ham, which was flavorless, and the croissants were soggy. The fruit salad was beautiful, but the servings were astoundingly stingy - - my scoop, in their very small serving spoon, consisted of 2 pineapple chunks, half a red grape, and a cube of kiwi smaller than the grape half. The best item on the menu was a mini cupcake, which another attendee told me was bought at Sam's. There are lots of other local caterers. I see no reason to hire this group. read more

Tried to reach out to this vendor 3 different times, once I finally made contact we set up an appointment to meet. She forgot what time our appointment was and when I rescheduled and actually met with her she was very awkward and did not seem like she was interested in my event. Catering Concepts catered a rehearsal dinner for our son and daughter-in-law. They worked with me to understand my ideas and contributions and combined that with their knowledge and abilities to create the perfect meal! Their staff was attentive to our guests during the meal and the food was delicious. From the selection of breads, entree to the dessert; everything was fabulous. Stay away from Catering Concepts! My wife and I hired Catering Concepts to cater dinner at our daughter's wedding on 6/4/2016 and they didn't deliver the correct meal and then refused to take the necessary steps to correct the situation. We hired them based on the meal they cooked and served to us when we were shopping for a caterer. Their price was about $3 per head more than the other bids, but in our opinion it was worth it based on what we were served. We were served herb crusted chicken that was breaded, fried, and then baked with fresh cut green beans and roasted potatoes. It was delicious. During the dinner my wife noticed that the chicken looked different. Upon further investigation we noticed that what they actually served was some sort of mass grilled chicken and canned green beans that you could get at any Golden Corral. Of course we were not happy. Given no other option we continued with the dinner. The next week my wife and I made a visit to their office to try to find out what went wrong. The owner (Carolyn) was not at work but we visited with the Chef that prepared the meal. My wife showed him a picture of the meal that was prepared during the tasting and he commented that he didn't know how to make that and that he was new and the old Chef, that made the meal for us during the tasting, was no longer with the company. The other Chef had been gone for more than a month. Carolyn never contacted us to let us know that we would not get the meal we paid for or that she had lost one of her Chefs and that we would have to pick something else. I asked the Chef to have her call me as soon as possible. She called a couple of hours later and played it as if she was shocked that we didn't get what we had ordered. (How could she be shocked? She knew that her Chef had quit and that no one else could prepare the meal. To add insult to injury I met with her the Tuesday before the wedding to pay the remaining balance and she acted as if everything was fine. No mention of losing a Chef or having an issue preparing the meal). She apologized and offered me a measly 10% refund. Based on a $2,500 catering bill, that was almost nothing. I was being generous when I offered to let it go if she would refund us the $3 per head difference between her price and the other quotes we received which was only about $650. She flat out refused and started yelling about "I can't lose money on this deal". Seriously, she's only making $250 on this dinner. No way. So, if you want to pay top dollar for cafeteria food with canned beans and if you want to pay top dollar for a basic meal, then by all means call Catering Concepts. Otherwise, I would go somewhere else. read more

I have used Catering Concepts for many years to include businesses I worked for and personal occasions. My last experience will be my last. I reached out about a month and a half before my son graduated HS. She reached out two weeks prior to finalize numbers and menu. My number of guests dropped in half, her respond was unprofessional in the email, not thinking much about it, I assumed all was good. Catherine called me the Saturday before graduation letting me know she overbooked her day and could no longer deliver our meal. She stated I could come and pick it up. No Thank You! I had one week to scramble and figure it out, not like it was a busy week without that mess. I guess my order was the low order of her day. read more

This group catered my only daughters wedding for 173 people at the beautiful Magnolia Gardens Inn in Springdale,AR. The food ran out in less than 21 minutes at the cost of $3000.00. The wedding party and their spouses which was 36 people did not get any food and several other families did not get food with several getting only a little. I have tried for two days to get them to call me back and they have not to this date. I was devastated and humiliated. read more

Unless you want everyone at your event to hate their life, DO NOT hire Catering Concepts!! Carolyn who runs the company is very rude and a few other things I won't say here. The crew is snooty and belittling. They seemed rushed, unorganized, like they were better than everyone, and just like they didn't want to be there. Anyone can do their job! Why choose rude people? That's one way to kill the mood of a party for sure. I would never ever EVER higher them. Carolyn should be ashamed. I guess she expects her staff to lead by example.
