Great groomer AWFUL customer service. I made an appt for 11am. I have a small dog and he had a few mats. Cathy said she would call when he was done. She didn't say during drop off that the grooming would take a longer time than her usual time frame (about 3 hours) and that there would be an additional cost. After waiting for 4 hours I didn't hear anything from her. I live an hour away from Cathy's shop and I sat at a small coffee shop in the area to do work while waiting on her to finish my dog. When I arrived she brought the wrong dog out. I told her that wasn't my dog. She said which one is yours? The gray one? No I said, the white one. I'm not sure how she is allowed to mix up people's dogs. Then she came back and said I said I would call you. I said yes and that was 4 hours ago, is my dog not ready? I live an hour away and have been waiting on you. She started to say that there were many mats and that it takes longer. I asked her why she didn't mention this during drop off. She said I could let her finish or drop him off another day. She went to the back and finished him then came back (which took 30 more minutes). She charged additional for mats which I paid. I told her that I didn't think I would spend my entire day waiting on her to groom. She starts yelling and says that she goes off her schedule not mine. She screams I'm a one woman show. I said well maybe you should consider how long it takes you to groom when you set up your booking and offer more spaced out times. I told her I had been waiting for hours. Then she screams I don't care!! Her coworker then asks her to take the conversation outside. I pay her and she says next time don't bring your dog matted. I told her there will not be a next time and that I'm not coming to her again. Then 10 min after I leave she calls me and says my dog will be ready at 4:45. I told her that I already picked up my dog. That lets me know she has no means of keeping up with the dogs and who they belong to. Additionally my Dog's haircut was the worse she had ever done. Due to the lack of communication and professionalism I will not be returning again. read more

The struggle is REAL. It's been so hard to find a pet groomer who is skilled, sincere, professional, AND consistent...Thank GOD for Cathy. Cathy is an independent owner who has a dedicated space to love on your fur baby. My chow chow puppy and I had the pleasure of using Cathy's services on July 20, 2020. I know that's been a month ago but I waited to see how my fur baby would respond to her overall work. As you know all too well, you do a brief check of your fur baby upon arrival post-grooming. You don't realize until you have time later to really review the work that they missed a patch of hair in-between the toes, the trim may not be even all over, they did something that you specified NOT to do beforehand, used poor-grade wash products, or OMG nicked or cut your fur baby and didn't tell you. With Cathy, this is not the case. Cathy not just listens BUT has effective communication skills (there is a difference people and LORD forbid you find that out the hard way), meaning she listens, asks related questions while offering useful suggestions, AND confirms your instructions by repeating them back to you for clarity. Unfortunately with the current times we live in and ever-growing capitalism, you want quality workmanship. Cathy delivers what she says she will. My chow chow has smelled divine and retained his uber-fluffy demeanor for close to 4 weeks people!! It probably could have lasted longer if my fur baby didn't enjoy the outdoors as much. When I picked him up from Cathy, he was still his usual, chill self unlike other experiences in the past where he left frantic in a panic state. My pomeranian, Potato, has trust issues ever since the last groomers were really rough with him! He would bark at strangers and he never did that before! As a dog mom, you want the best care for your fur babies, and I can honestly say that Cathy is a hidden gem! Potato was hesitant at first, and barked upon entry, but after she worked her magic, they were basically besties haha. I love that she loves her job, takes genuine care of my dog, and definitely affordable compared to most groomers! She will have your dog in and out in 2 hours. It was Noah's first visit visit there. My first impression was not very good. I felt Cathy was a bit aggressive and a tad bit rude. Although we signed a release form for the service in the event of cuts, which I have never signed with a groomer before. I see why I had to sign it. My dog has cuts on his back legs, front legs under his arms and a nasty cut behind his ear. Which is still healing from two weeks ago. Our appointment was at 3:00 p.m. I received a text at 8:00 p.m. with pictures. A picture is worth a thousand words, Noah looked so sad in the pictures. I could tell he was not happy and had a unpleasant experience. When I arrived to pick him up he nearly jumped out her arms and the first thing Cathy the Groomer said to me was " He is so spoiled" I knew then she was not good to him. When we got him home he was not himself very quite and afraid. It wasn't until the next day that I saw all the cuts on him. This was not his first time going to a groomer. Noah is a full breed shitzu and has been getting groomed since he was 7 months old every 2 -21/2 months. I will never ever take him there again! I don't recommend this place! read more

Hello, I heard about Ms. Cathy The Groomer through word of mouth and decided to get my pet groomed by her. Unfortunately, I feel that I should WARN customers about using Ms. Cathy to groom their precious animals. When I first arrived to Ms. Cathy home around 12:30pm, her husband was playing loud music, drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette, which Ms. Cathy was also smoking a cigarette around other pets that were in animal kennels in her garage (BAD FIRST IMPRESSION). When I met Ms. Cathy at her garage door, I felt like the environment was unclean because of the cigarette smoke in the air, old cigarette butts on the tables, and beer bottles that were placed around her pet grooming area. Ms. Cathy also seemed under the influenced of possible beer... At this point I was very hesitate to leave my animal with her, however, I began to question what exactly does she do for work and her pet experience. Once Ms. Cathy began talking it was very clear that she was experienced (claims-20yrs), therefore, I decided to give her a chance to groom my animal... Ms. Cathy called me three hours later to pick up my animal, and when I arrived my animal seemed very scared and clawed his nails into my shirt. I then looked at my pet nails, and noticed that they were jagged, so I asked Ms. Cathy to grind his nails down seeing as though she charged me $40 cash which included a nail cut and trimming. Ms. Cathy also urged me to put my pet down on the ground. I will not lie and say that Ms. Cathy did not do a good grooming job on my pet, because she Absolutely did, HOWEVER, when I got home I noticed that my pet was VERY lethargic... It then became very suspect that Ms. Cathy gave my animal a drug without my knowledge.. During my first meeting with Ms. Cathy she did explain to me that she worked at a pet hospital (Macland Pet Hospital I believe so), so I am assuming that Ms. Cathy has strong pet drugs for animals when she grooms them. My only issue with Ms. Cathy is that she did not ask for my consent to drug my pet, which caused my pet to be drugged for almost 2 days!!! It was a point where my pet was lying down and I though that he was dead.. Furthermore, I am assuming that she gave my pet too much of a strong dose of whatever medication, which caused me to be very concern about my pet. I will admit that I am a new dog owner, and I really wish that I had not used her, however now that I know better, I will DO better especially since Ms. Cathy refers cash and did not give a receipt, therefore there is no way to hold Ms. Cathy liable if something were to happen to your pet. So please pet owners, while Ms. Cathy does do a great job, please think twice before using her pet grooming services. read more
