CAUTION!!! DO NOT IGNORE THE RATINGS!!!! Do yourself a favor and go with another company. I've had issues with Cathy and her team from the very beginning . Before I signed up I had a list of very specific questions about my coverage. I pulled up the terms of my prior insurer and told them I wanted the same coverage. At the time they were super nice and said yes to everything I asked. I overlooked the fact that after every question asked they needed to put me on hold to "ask the boss". The staff is under-trained and this branch is obviously only in it for their own benefit/ commission . They will be nice and cordial on the phone but be careful because they WILL NOT be honest about what you're paying for. I've had a significantly better "StateFarm" experience at other locations. I would avoid Cathy and this horrible branch at all costs. read more

I have my health, automobile and renters insurance through Cathy Thompson's office. My renters and auto have been for over 2 years and health for a year now and I just had to file my first claim for a person theft of property. After the claim process and many interviews from adjusters they finally paid out on my claim. Immediately after they paid my claim they sent a cancellation notice of my renters policy. The claim was just over $1000 and i had a $500 deductible, factoring in depreciation of the items the check they cut me was under $400 and they cancelled my policy because of this. I spoke directly with Cathy and her exact words to me were "Don't file a claim for the little stuff." I explained to her that $1000 to me was not "little stuff" and the reason I have a renters insurance policy is to cover incidences like this. She talked down to me like I was a child and insisted that the $1000 claim i filed was just pennies. Long story short she is in it to make money and doesn't care about the "little guys" out there. She was extremely demeaning on the phone and had a terrible attitude and as soon as i can i will be finding new providers for both my personal policies and my companies policies. read more

Horrible Customer service. Employees aren't up to date on procedures and billing and are under trained. I was told that after ending automatic payments that my account wouldn't be billed again automatically... 2 weeks later I was billed and this caused me to overdraft. Their employee failed to mention to me that In order to be taken off automatic payment they needed another payment upfront. This information was not given to me by the agent when it was supposed to be and it has cost me a lot of financial stress. And every time I've called Cathy Thompsons office to discuss it, im always told how I'm in the wrong. She half heartdly apologized and suggested if I didn't like my service to go else where... and I will be. I highly suggest looking elsewhere for your car insurance if you are in Eagle county. This lady and her office will take no responsibility for their errors and will try to turn it around on you if you bring something up. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Cathy Thompson is a thief! Her office was helpful while we were purchasing our policies but once we signed up, Cathy Thompson State Farm had no time us. We had purchased auto, life and renters polices and set up direct bank draft pay, a few months after purchasing the polices I took a closer look at my bill and noticed Cathy Thompson sate farm was overcharging us. I took this revelation to the insurance office and they said "yep we are over charging you and we will fix that" it took 6months and multiple trips the office before they did return the money they has unlawfully withdrawn from my account! And then after I cancelled my polices in writing and obtained coverage elsewhere (for much less the Cathy Thompson) they continued to deduct payment out of my bank account even though I have no polices with them! The customer service is just awful, twice they hung up on me, they failed to follow up when they said they would and rarely returned e-mail. I would not recommend this office to Al-Qaeda!!! Cathy Thomson State Farm will steal from You for as long as you will let them! They are awful!!!!! read more
