Laurel, NJ for our wedding day.  A bit a research and abundantly positive Google and Yelp reviews brought me to Foodwerx Catering.  Along with their catering packages, Foodwerx offered the services of a day of coordinator, Roxanne.       Going with Foodwerx and utilizing the services of Roxanne was the best decision we made regarding our wedding day.  Roxanne's attention to detail, planning, timeline management, coordination of vendors, communication, vast experience, aesthetic, logistical expertise, and most importantly, warm and kind heart are everything a couple needs to ensure that their wedding event exceeds every expectation.  Every bump in the road or unexpected turn of events was handled calmly, promptly, and professionally.  Adding additional décor flourish to our reception area; she handled it.  Adjusting our timeline to ensure that our photographers got cake cutting shots before our contractual end time; she handled it.  Last minute realization that a generator was needed for the outdoor kitchen; she handled it. Simply put, she worked magic at every turn to ensure that we had the best day possible.     Now, the food.  There are almost no words for how incredibly the food was prepared, served, and how much our guests enjoyed.  Our families are not easy to please when it comes to food. Therefore, cookie cutter lukewarm generic wedding food was NOT AN OPTION for our day. Foodwerx surpassed all expectations by providing food that was scratch made on site, served hot and fresh, and was unbelievably flavorful and delicious.  I cannot begin to express how thankful I am for all of Roxanne and Foodwerx's tireless efforts.  Bottom line, if you are looking for an exemplary culinary and wedding day coordinating experience, look no further than Foodwerx!!

This place is amazing!!…read more My mother-in-law ordered trays of the Creme Brûlée French toast for a recent family party - WOW! It was so delicious, not overly sweet but the flavors were unreal/delicious. I had to go to the restaurant myself and get it again after I raved about it. I went today with a party of 7 for my birthday breakfast (baby included) and everyone loved it. Of course we split the Creme Brûlée French toast for the table so everyone could try - a winner! I got the Bird's Nest with bacon, and my brother-in-law got the same but without meat (vegetarian). Delicious! My sister got a huge salad, the Italian Chop. My mom got a BLT sandwich which was loaded with bacon. The star was the Chicken Parm sandwich that my husband got. Huge and crispy! The prices are great and the staff is friendly. Someone from the back (maybe the chef or owner) walked around and asked us personally how our meals were. Super chill vibe, good coffee, and amazing food. Will be back asap!

She was in the kitchen, constantly socializing with her family that was visiting her she ignored us. Left us sitting for nearly 1 hour. yes you read that correctly. we know what time we ordered because i texted my husband to see if he wanted us to bring something home. We asked her for straws and she gave us this whole lecture on state of NJ fining them for giving them out until someone asks. Meanwhile, she went over to her family and was chatting. never came back with straws, we asked a coworker. 1/2 hour later we asked for a drink refill - she literally ignored us waving at her and continued to socialize. the same coworker got the drinks and then main waitress came with water. 45 minutes later we spoke up and asked because we saw someone else's food getting delivered that sat down after us. Our waitress used the lame excuse that the send button didn't work when she took our order. It's a joke if you see how tiny this place is, she should be checking on our order to make sure that it went through. She did not want to apologize. She kept holding the handheld computer device toward me in an attempt to show me she placed the order. We did not accuse her of anything, we simply asked , is our food ever coming? I offered to pay for 2 iced teas and We got up to leave. it was well beyond one hour at this point. the kitchen staff could hear me loud and clear and no one made any attempt other than the other waitress that kept picking up our waitress slack. It's their business to ruin. There's plenty of other places in the area. We actually come here a lot to eat, and I wish I could have left a positive review, however every single time we have had an issue with service. Its a shame because the food is good but they frequently get the order wrong or it takes forever even on slow days. My husband never wants to dine here for this exact reason. Got home and told my neighbors who were outside and they literally said, Oh we gave up on that place for that exact reason. 5 people working in this tiny place and no one pays attention to anything. Like I said - go elsewhere- it is there place to ruin.

His initial communication was very detailed, he was quick to respond, we had multiple great meetings about our event and made us feel confident in our decision. Unfortunately, as the event approached, communication completely stopped which was both frustrating and concerning given how time-sensitive event planning is. We made multiple attempts to reach him via email, phone, and text over the course of a week with no response at all. Because of this, we had no choice but to cancel within the terms of the contract. Even then, there was still no response, and we ultimately had to go through PayPal to recover our $1,000 deposit. It's incredibly disappointing that something that started off so professional ended this way. Lack of communication at such a critical time created unnecessary stress and extra work on our end. Reliability and responsiveness are essential in this industry, and unfortunately that was not our experience here. Do NOT hire this company. After reading multiple recent reviews, it's seems he has scammed multiple clients for their money. Such a shame.
