I love having access to so many great food trucks in Philly, but sometimes it's a challenge to find something healthy to eat from a truck. Farm Truck changes that, with a variety of veggie-friendly menu items all made from fresh & local ingredients. Some of the wonderful eats I've had include: - Roasted squash sandwich with rosemary goat cheese, spinach, turkey & mustard - White bean hummus sandwich with grilled asparagus, cucumber-dill salad on ciabatta - Tilapia scallion pancake - Buffalo mushroom on ciabatta with goat cheese, carrots & greens The art exhibit on the back of the truck is inspiring, and I love the way they display the ingredients they use in crates attached to the outside of the truck. Everything they're doing is awesome, and I look forward to seeing them more around town!

I ate at the Farm Truck today and what a world of difference from a year ago! Back by popular demand, the truck made a return catering trip to my office. I went with the Roast Porkwich and it was excellent. I felt the broccoli rabe, sautéed onions and roasted fire peppers were farm-fresh. The thick cut roast pork was juicy and on point. The Gorgonzola spread added an extra touch of fun and flavor. I had to walk away from my sandwich for a meeting at one-point and found myself sitting there missing it. I didn't love the watermelon mint salad, but it was more so me not liking the watermelon/mint mix. I would have gone crazy if that was basil instead of mint. I reread my last review of the Farm Truck and I think our options for today were a little more creative with more vegetable options integrated with the meat. When I think of farm to table food, fresh veggies are one of the first things that come to mind. I know there's much more to that, but it's an important aspect to me. I enjoyed and look forward to going back to this truck on my own for non-catered events.

They were at the Battle of Germantown reenactment (in Germantown, of course), and seemed to be doing a very brisk business. Their black bean burger was excellent, and I was lucky to get the last one just as they were selling out. Served on a soft, very fresh roll. If you see them around, cue up right away, as he who hesitates is lost.

By the time my husband, small child and I got to the event where The Farmtruck was corralled, they were sold out of everything. This tells me that they must be doing something right. We waited about 15 minutes for them to re-up their ingredients and let me tell you, it was worth it. Two words: Pork Tacos. They were perfectly balanced. The tender pork melted into the perfectly cold-crunchy-spicy-sweet cucumber and pickled jalepeños with a creamy mayo delicately woven between. Their corn tortillas were soft, and their subtle flavor was the precise canvas needed for these delicious tacos. I would check out their ever changing menu again for certain. And the truck is really pretty too. The only reason why they get three stars is they were sold out of everything by the time we got there. Again, this is a good thing, and also bad. That's minus two stars. Though I'm quite looking forward to trying more menu options soon and giving those two extra stars up! Yay Farmtruck!

Cubano: pork, ham, few pickles and the saving grace: mustard seeds.

Underwhelming. Sammies are not particularly memorable here. For example, $10 Cubano : Hefty price for a sandwich that wasn't so hefty. On the dry side with only the mustard seeds being the saving grace. Was expecting a bigger melding of flavors, some oozing cheese, more pickles, more flavor. Meh.

Went to see a show at the Mann Music Center. The truck was there. The shrimp tacos were incredible. The service was fast and very pleasant.

Personally, I would not recommend outdoor seating here because it's right on a very busy Girard Avenue intersection and between the traffic, honking, loud music, and overall noise, it was just too much. It was also chilly outside and the heat lamps were not on. Nathan, our server, was honestly the highlight of the experience hence 3 stars not less. Very personable, funny, attentive, and made great suggestions. We ordered the corn, chorizo fries, a cheesesteak empanada, a bun, and two pitchers of margaritas prickly pear and mango. Unfortunately, the margaritas were very watery and didn't really taste like margaritas to me. The food looked good initially, but most of it lacked lasting flavor. The corn had good cheese and sauce on the first bite, but after that mostly just tasted like plain corn. The chorizo fries needed thicker fries, more cheese, and more chorizo. The cheesesteak empanada and bun were just okay, although the bun became very salty toward the end. My daughter and her girlfriend love this place, especially the Brussels sprout tacos and margaritas, so I can see why others enjoy it. For me personally, though, the flavors just didn't hit the way I expected them to, and I probably wouldn't return.

As soon as I opened up the adranos, I noticed the sesame seeds were super aromatic coming off the bread. The sandwich itself was delicious although I would have liked slightly more oil & vinegar. The franklin was the favorite of the 3 sandwiches we tried. The turkey was really good and I loved the bacon jam with arugula pairing. The fig pig was also good but a little heavy on the cheese. It was sweeter than the Franklin even though both had jam. The prosciutto was god tier. Really meaty and moist. While I was waiting for my sandwich I noticed 4 other people come in and order the fig pig! The cashier told me that the Franklin is one of the most popular. Service was very friendly and ingredients are fresh & high quality. Inside is small- just a counter to order with the sandwich making station behind it. There's also a small market. There were a couple of small outdoor tables which was nice. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

The bacon jam on the Franklin really stood out and made it memorable. The shop itself has fun offerings to peruse while you wait for your order and the staff was chatty so what little waiting you do isn't bad at all. The prices seemed reasonable, especially for what you get.
