Over the years, I'd been told by other offices that I needed very expensive and aggressive treatments that didn't feel right to me, and unfortunately I had a few negative experiences where I felt rushed, overlooked, or forgotten entirely at appointments. That created a lot of anxiety, especially considering how overwhelming and expensive dental care can be. I found El Dorado Hills Dental through a referral from someone who works in the dental field, which immediately made me feel more at ease knowing it came from someone knowledgeable and trusted. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The space was welcoming and calm, the staff was kind and attentive, and it didn't have that typical overstimulating, clinical dentist vibe, it felt relaxed and comfortable right from the start. I shared my past experiences and concerns with Dr. Austin Cope, and during my exam he was incredibly communicative and thorough. I really appreciate understanding what's going on with my mouth, and he took the time to explain everything in a way that was clear and empowering rather than overwhelming. He constantly checked in to make sure I was comfortable, and honestly, it felt more like talking to a friend than sitting with a dentist which was incredibly reassuring. I was given very thorough post op instructions. I want to give a shout out to Adrian, the surgical assistant also. He was awesome! A few days after my extraction, a close friend called me wanting to know who my oral surgeon had been because she broke off one of her front teeth at the gum! They both put me at ease and are genuinely caring about my experience. His whole team (front office!!) is wonderful. Friendly, compassionate, communicative. The only things I don't like? He's about a half-hour drive from my house AND he isn't a general dentist. I'd drive as far as I had to, to get the kind of care I get from this office. Keep up the good work, people!
