Domestic cats have been around a long time (depending on your source, they say there have been domestic cats from at least 4,000 years ago to as long as 7,500 years ago), but a lot less time than there have been domestic dogs. That's probably why you can still see a bit of a wild animal in every cat.
I like cats because you can see unique personalities in each one. I've never had 2 cats that behaved the same. They're also low-maintenance compared to my dogs.
I posted some photos of one of my old cats: he showed up at my house one day and we noticed that the poor guy had only one eye and was missing one of his hind feet; his tail had also been broken and healed crookedly. Of course I named him Lucky. I never treated him like a disabled cat and he certainly didn't act like one (he was a great hunter, surprisingly).
I'm sure if you've had cats, you have tons of stories about your little ones. read more
