I took my Yorkie there on a Monday for what Hr. Pandya said was a sprain. He proceeded to give my dog an injection in the office and sent me home with medication to administer at home for the next 14 days. Supposedly the medicine was for pain and inflamation (carprofen and gabipitin). I figured my dog would be lethargic the rest of Monday, but what I didn't expect was for him to get more lethargic--I only gave home one more dose of the medcine on Tuesday--and eventually die before the week was over. My happy high spirited dog went from something to nothing in a matter of minutes now that I look back on it! The lack of empathy, concern, knowledge or personality of the Dr. Pandya is one for the books. During this experience, he never acknowledge the fact that just maybe he did something wrong. He turned my dog into a zombie and even though he saw him on Thursday looking as such, he never acknowedged that just maybe he was killing my dog. So if your dog has a foot injury of any kind and/or if you want to keep your animal alive, PLEASE DO NOT TKE HIM TO DR. PANDYA. read more

Please be careful when using this vet. I am a first time cat owner and I am fostering. My foster came to me with a lot of matting that I couldn't take care of myself. I chose caudle based on location and asked them to groom my cat. My mistake is that I agreed to sedation for the grooming. I am aware I should've known the risks, but again I am fostering/owning for the very first time. My cat was at the vet from 8:30-4:30 due to my work schedule. When I picked him up and took him home, he was very out of it and something was off. He was vomiting and extremely confused. I took him to the emergency vet and it turns out he was still HEAVILY sedated and hypothermic. I had no information on after care from caudle other than to not feed him. Please be careful going here. Communication needs to be much better and I'm sure this isn't the first time this has happened. read more

Beware of Caudle Veterinary Clinic: It's a long read, but important that pet owners know what this clinic did to my dog. I'm the parent of a six-year-old, 17lb Jack Russell mix. I took her (Milly) to Caudle Veterinary Hospital located at 3607 Gallatin Pike in East Nashville for a routine teeth cleaning. I will admit that my dog can be nervous especially when dropped off at a vet's office with unfamiliar faces. Around 1:00pm I received a phone call from the vet tech letting me know that Milly was done with the procedure and that I could pick her up in an hour or so. At this point I asked if everything went okay, and she said that my dog was fine and just waking up from the anesthesia. 10 minutes later I received a second call telling me that I should come sooner rather than later because my dog was anxious prior to the procedure and that they didn't feel it was a good idea to give her the reversal shot that would bring her out of the sedation sooner. I asked the tech if there was any sort of issue and she told me that it would be best for me to get to the office and speak with the vet directly. I pushed to get more information and was told that prior to the surgery my dog was agitated and that they were having trouble getting her out of the cage. She then said, "we should have called you, but by this point it was too late." I asked her to clarify what she meant by too late. She informed me that the vet took it upon himself to use a catch pole/snare to restrain my dog and remove her from the cage. (If you aren't familiar with a catch pole/snare, this is often used to catch dogs when they are in the street or need to be restrained. The pole is made of metal, six feet long and has a wire on the end to slip around a dog's neck). During this time, my dog while still in the cage, allegedly bit and attacked the pole, thus knocking out her two front teeth. I then asked what she meant by it was too late and was told that the teeth were bleeding so bad that they had to rush her into surgery to stop the bleeding and therefore they could not call me to discuss how to proceed with the teeth cleaning. Completely upset and confused, I rushed to the clinic and asked a very frazzled receptionist/tech at the front desk to explain to me again what happened. At this point I told them I wanted to speak with the vet since he was the one that used this device to restrain and remove her from the cage. His demeanor was very strange, almost like this was a funny accident - he said that he used the pole to prevent her from hurting herself and that it was no big deal that she lost her front teeth. I then asked to see her, and they took me back to a room where my dog was soaking wet, laying in a crate on the floor. I asked why she was in this condition and the tech explained to me that she was covered in blood, so they gave her a bath, but didn't want to agitate her and decided to not blow dry her coat. I again asked what happened because it all didn't make sense to me. They showed me that she was in a cage on the second tier, four or so feet off of the ground, and that the vet put the pole in the cage and she attacked it. After this very short encounter with the vet. he left the room - the tech was very upset by the situation and told me that she'd never seen anything like this happen in her career and that she would have preferred to use a towel to remove Milly but was told by the vet not to. I was then charged nearly $500 and now my dog is without front teeth and has spent the past four days anxious, walking around with her tail between her legs. I took her to another vet to ensure that she will have no long-term damages besides loss of her front teeth. This vet and others that I have consulted since the incident have told me that no veterinary clinic should ever have a catch pole in-house and most certainly should never be used in this manner. Additionally, to cover their backs, Caudle wrote in the medical records (which I had sent to the new vet) that my dog lost her teeth by biting the cage. I urge anyone considering going to Caudle to proceed with caution. I understand that accidents happen, sadly this was not an accident. This was a gross misuse of force when attempting to restrain an animal and absolutely horrible judgement by someone who is supposed to care for the well-being of our pets. Had Milly not had her teeth knocked out, I may never have known exactly how the vet manhandled my dog. read more

Love this place. My cat needed dental surgery, and I had moved to East Nashville from the Nolensville area, so I needed a new vet. I called 5 Points Animal Hospital and made an appointment, but the cost of the appointment to meet him was INSANE. I didn't realize how much it was going to cost until after the appointment was over and I was ready to pay to leave. I figured maybe it was because my cat was a new patient and maybe the bloodwork before the surgery was expensive, so I went ahead and asked them to send me an estimate of the surgery. They sent me estimate the next morning and OH MY GOD. AINT NO WAY IN H3LL IM PAYING THAT. I called another vet, Caudle Veterinary Clinic, and told them the situation. Told them that I had paid a crazy amount for the literal visit and I needed my cat needed the surgery ASAP. They immediately let me come in so they could meet my cat, and after the appointment was over, they informed me the visit was free. Then, they gave me the estimate for the surgery and IT WAS LESS THAN THE VISIT AT 5 POINTS. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. My cat had the surgery with Caudle and they took such great care of him. His post surgery check up was also free. I love Caudle! read more

After multiple visits they didn't tell me to take him to urgent care immediately, he was extremely sick and passed away within hours of me leaving Caudle and going to another vet and to Blue Pearl. read more

I will never ever go back to this vet, even if they were the last vet on earth. I've been there for multiple times for two separate issues, and each time left with a bad taste in my mouth. First, they keep the building super warm, so be prepared to sweat while waiting. Second, they refuse to make appointments, so be prepared to wait in that hot waiting room for god knows how long. They don't spend a lot of time with the dog, but want to get you in and out. We first came in to get our elderly bichon's teeth cleaned and a wart on his leg removed. They did an okay job, except they decided to remove ALL his warts and give us a cone too small (for which we had to come back 3x and still couldn't get one big enough) which precipitated two weeks of hell for us in trying to keep his stitches bandaged so he wouldn't mess with them. But I thought maybe there was a miscommunication on my part, so I shrugged it off. What finally did it for me was our visit yesterday to get our elderly bichon his yearly shots. In 13 years of shots, he's never reacted negatively or shown signs of pain. But the doctor here stuck him so hard (and seemed to really jab with barely a look) that my poor guy screamed and jumped off the table. While we were waiting for the results of his heart worm test, the doctor (there's only one here) proceeded to come out and reprimand his assistant (who was working alone even though the waiting room was full) because she switched shifts or something. It was really uncomfortable (but that could've also been because it was 85 degrees in there) and unprofessional. Later that night, after shaking and crying ALL day, he began throwing up and acting manically. I don't know if he was just in pain from that shot or having a weird reaction, but we decided we had enough. DON'T TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS VET. For a few years, I had mediocre experience with Caudle Vet, but I kept going there in spite of my reservations. It is near where I live, and I think I just nursed a hope that I would eventually come to have a good experience there. (I will say, the techs and front office staff are really, really great.) The final straw, though, was when I took my 19-year-old cat in because one of her eyes was extremely swollen. The doctor sent me away, saying I didn't have anything to worry about, and that her eye would probably look better in a couple of days. It did not. So, I took her to a different vet who found that she had a few abscessed teeth, one of which had splintered off and migrated into her sinus cavity. I cannot imagine the pain she must have been feeling. I'm furious that Dr. Pandya doesn't have any more empathy for a poor innocent cat than to just send her away like she was an inconvenience. He barely even examined her. I get the feeling he just didn't want to treat her. He was always trying to sedate her - as if he couldn't bother with her unless she was heavily sedated. Our new vets have never tried to sedate her except for when she had dental extractions. They've taken blood and urine samples and never had to sedate her. I highly recommend Five Points Animal Hospital. It's an ENORMOUS step up from the experience of Caudle Vet. I really regret that I trusted Caudle with my precious pets for so long. I should have gotten a second opinion a long time ago. I could have saved my cat a lot of pain. read more

If you're considering going to Caudle Vet, please don't. For the sake of your pet's health, please go to a different vet. Our poor dog has had two very serious illnesses (knee replacement and cancer) that Dr. Pandya put in zero effort to help diagnose or refer to a specialist and just excused as being overweight and old. My family is not the only one with this experience. There are other reviews like it and it hurts my heart that there are probably many others whose pets have died that could have been saved if they went somewhere else. We took our dogs here for a very long time and every encounter with him was the same. A few years ago my dog was having tremendous pain in one of her back legs. She went from running in the yard one day to miserable overnight. Took her in immediately and Dr Pandya (the older vet in the office) barely even looked at her and said it was because she was overweight. Despite my husband and I insisting something was wrong with her and essentially begging for an examination or x-rays, Dr. Pandya told us to just go home and give her pain medication and work on getting her weight down. We took her to a different vet because she could barely even walk, turns out she needed a complete knee replacement. It had nothing to do with her weight, and a quick x-ray could have told us that. We continued to take both of our dogs to Caudle even after this incident because we really like the younger vet in the office. But then last fall, our dog's front leg started swelling and it was painful for her to walk on. We took her in and to our dismay were assigned the older vet. We explained the issues she was having and similar to last time he didn't really even look at her. He said because of her age (she's 8) it had to be arthritis. He did not even do an examination. We also asked him to look at her eyes because we were concerned she may have cataracts. He shined a light on her eyes and said she did indeed have cataracts but "not to worry because with her being a senior she will die before they're too much of a problem". No bedside manner. Given Dr. Pandya's track record of neglect with our pets and how serious the situation ended up being with our dog's knee replacement before, we went to another vet for a second opinion. When we took her to a different vet she was immediately extremely concerned and referred us to a specialist for the next day. Turns out our dog has cancer. I firmly believe if Dr. Pandya would do real examinations, we could have caught it sooner. We also used to board our dogs here. Never again. Both of our dogs developed a fear of thunderstorms after staying at Caudle Vet. They have been boarded at other vet offices during thunderstorms prior to being boarded at Caudle and never had an issue. They are still afraid of thunderstorms to this day - 3 years later. read more

I'm a little conflicted about this place. I came here to get my puppy spayed and there were some issues/infections happening a day or two prior to her surgery. I brought her back saying that there is an issue and the older doctor (the one who performed the surgery) told me there was no problem and there is nothing to worry about. The next following days it got worse and worse with puss coming out of it and cyst-like bumps on her tummy. I brought her back and a different doctor agreed there was something wrong and he was so kind to re-do the surgery, open her back up, take all of the infection out, and stitch her back up. When I came back after 10 days to get her stitches out, the older doctor took them out and it wasn't until I got home that I realized he left one in. I emailed the vet to complain that they need to be more cautious because this same doctor made 2 mistakes on my 11 month old puppy. The doctor called me in the morning and did NOT take any responsibility saying it's not a big deal that the stitch left in was cut and I can pull it out myself. He then told me if I don't like the service there I can go somewhere else. This SHOCKED ME. Everyone else at this vet was so kind, understanding, and worried about my pup, but this doctor has an ego on him and will not admit to any mistakes (even when other doctors said there was an issue). I do love how everyone else took care of my dog and you could tell how passionate they are about their job, but that doctor is not someone I would trust with my pup anymore. I've taken my oldest dog, Chloe, to Caudle since she was a pup. She's a mischievous girl and actually allegedly bit someone once and I opted to board her at Caudle versus keeping her at the pound. Dr. Pandya (the father) was very patient with me coming in DAILY to check on my dog. While I was living out of state my mom passed away and I had to have Chloe transported to live with me in Texas. The staff at Caudle worked with me and my cousin (who flew with Chloe to my new home) to make sure she was healthy and properly medicated (serious anxiety). I eventually moved back to Tennessee, and we brought another beagle buddy, Rocket, into the family as a Christmas gift for my daughter and recently had the opportunity to work with the other Dr. Pandya (the son) when Rocket was neutered. This was, again, a wonderful experience. Rocket ripped out his stitches with his cone after a day or so and I had to take him back to the vet. We were seen immediately upon our arrival and I was told that he'd need new stitches, but that I could come back in an hour to get my pup. I was back exactly an hour later, and Rocket was ready. Dr. Pandya was very thorough with instructions on how to keep the stitches intact this time and put a bigger cone on Rocket. His incision healed perfectly. Later on I found out at 5 Points that my dog had bronchitis and a heart murmur. My other dog had some teeth removed and then the next morning after the surgery had a seizure. This is a result of too much anesthesia. I tried calling their emergency line and they had the phone number to call at the end of the long outgoing message. Of course when I finally got the number no one called me back until the next day. If you want to put your pet's life at risk then definitely go to this place. We had a great experience with Caudle vet. We brought our kitten here for a spay. Unfortunately, the first night home she got out of her cone and pulled her stitches out and bit at her wound. This ended up causing her incision to have some issues, which ultimately needed to be opened back up and repaired. Dr. Panda and the staff were incredibly helpful with this and saw her again multiple times after to make sure she was healing well. She is now back to normal and doing well! read more

Caudle is a wonderful veterinary clinic. My cat Lumpy who passed away in 2010 went there her entire life and after 18 wonderful years when it was time to say goodbye the staff was so loving and kind. My cat George is 9years old and has issues eating things he shouldn't (ribbons, plastic, etc) and they always handle this so well. They aren't fancy but they don't require your animals to have thousands of dollars worth of unnecessary tests and procedures. We finally caught our feral, outdoor cat after three years of trying and took him in to get fixed. He had lost a lot of weight recently and wasn't doing well. I called a few days before to make sure they fixed ferals and the girl on the phone was very unprofessional (I should have known not to go there after this call) and she didn't know if they worked on ferals. She finally got the confirmation that they did and after we caught our cat, we took him in. We went as soon as they opened and the woman at the desk WAS very understanding and professional and said someone would call after he was tested for FIV/leukemia to give us the results. I got a very unprofessional and uncaring call that afternoon (not from the same woman) that he tested positive (we weren't totally surprised) and they wanted to know what we wanted to do with him. I told them I needed to talk to my husband and I'd call back. We decided we would have him put down but we wanted his body. We went to pick him up and some very rough looking front desk girls were there. There were no condolences and they hardly looked at us. We were a mess and just needed some sympathy. It was by far the worst vet experience we had and we wouldn't go back. Hire more people who don't look like they are on drugs and who actually care about animals. I went to another vet for a while who got too pricy and ridiculous, I gave these guys a try. They aren't corporate or fancy....who cares? Dr. Pandya has a simple common sense approach and is very knowledgeable, and doesn't push 9 million different unnecessary tests like my previous vet did several times, which is why I stopped going there. My elder dog had swelling near her mouth on my first visit....They found the problem with my dog and took care of her, and didn't gouge me. My rescue kitten came to me with it, and now my 11 yr old cat has contracted it. Caudle handled my older cat well.. She's difficult as she's not around other humans.. For simple procedures for my dogs (anal gland expression .. uh, yuck!), I usually go to Value Vet because it's pretty cheap. But, for more serious and complicated vet needs, I would go to Caudle Vet Clinic. The clinic itself is okay and comfortable; they didn't mind that my dog peed several times in their waiting room. The wait wasn't terribly long, but it was a bit longer than I expected even though they told me there was no wait when I called beforehand. The staff was very nice and helpful. I added a star because the vets are so great. The vets I've seen there - Drs. Pandya and Nelson - are not only knowledgeable and professional but they show a lot of compassion and care for the animals they treat. Plus, they're very animal rescue-friendly. In regard to price, they are more expensive than, say, a Value Vet, but they are less expensive than some of the other vets I've checked out. Caudle Vet is a good choice if you're balancing out value and high level vet care. read more

I had a pretty terrible experience here. Let me preface this review by saying that I only went to Caudle once, and it was last summer. Things could have changed. We had just moved to Nashville and my 3 year old dog needed his routine annual exam and vaccines. The office is pretty much what you expect. Beige walls, linoleum floors, fluorescent lights. What was troubling was I never once saw the vet. The vet tech came in and once they saw that I was there for the annual stuff, just started running through the shots and tests without much attention paid to us. She drew his blood and blew a vessel which caused my dog to yelp and bleed every where. It was a wham-bam deal and she did it all somewhat mindlessly, shooting him up with out much ceremony. There was one shot that was recommended in Tennessee but not in New York City and i had a question about it. Rather than the vet actually coming to speak to me, the vet tech left the room and came back and said the vet said we should get it. The whole experience felt like an assembly line. I have been to 3 different vets with my dog and I have never NOT met with the vet. The vet tech's demeanor aside, I was surprised not to once speak with a vet. I have not gone back to Caudle, but have switched to 5 Points Animal Hospital and that has been a much better experience. read more

When it came time to get my new kitten spayed I went to Caudle because it was the closest clinic to my home. I was a little disconcerted when they told me I didn't need an appointment, but rather should just come in any time during their open hours. I was worried I would have a long wait, but I was taken back to the examination room within ten minutes. The place definitely smells like a veterinary office, and the decor is less than charming. The staff seemed friendly enough, but I was still glad my time in the waiting room was short. The veterinarian was professional and efficient. They offer free overnight boarding for such procedures if you can't pick your pet up before closing. It's a nice service, but I was still glad I didn't have to leave her there overnight. read more

My mother took her 8 year old cat here. He hadn't eaten in days and was hiding in a box on the porch. She told the vet this. He looked at the cat a little.. no xray..no bloodwork ... nothing and the vet sent her home with antibiotics. A week later cat was bleeding profusely from his nose, a constant drip. Blood everywhere. Not eating I took the cat in, told the vet this. What did he do? Tried to convince me that the cat had sinus issues and was sneezing blood. I kept telling him the cat wasn't sneezing.. and was still not eating. He basically dismissed my concerns. He blamed weather changes and the cat not eating because he couldn't smell. AND he asked me if I was sure my mother told the truth about the cat's age. This was his concern. That we were lying about the cat's age. "Did you personally hold him as a kitten?" Sir....We still have his first vet records from 2012 when he was a kitten. We know his age. The cat was bleeding from his nose in the office. The assistant pointed it out. He tried force feeding the cat food, giving him a mix of blood and food(that the cat rejected) with a stick. "He'll eat this". The cat did not. He basically said the only other thing was bloodwork and that it wasn't worthwhile... just give a stronger antibiotic... and again... if the cat isn't better after this drug. bring him back. I was livid. The cat died within a couple days. In a nutshell, they didn't even properly examine the cat and just kept dismissing with antibiotics. Basically over $200 to be ignored and force feed a cat useless drugs. Robbery honestly... I wish I could sue for some type of negligence. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. read more

Many years ago I took my first cat to a discounted animal birth control clinic, which would never happen again.., a horror story to say the least. I had to find a new vet and decided to try Caudle Veterinary Clinic. Little did I know but I had just discovered my new "veterinary for life". Dr. Pandya has since treated, spayed, neutered and provided routine care for more than 20 cats and kittens (which I have taken in from the streets) and provided all care for my 4 dogs. He has been treating my "family" with compassion and care for more than 20 years. When my Rottweiler/Lab mix began to suffer in his latter days with shoulder pain, Dr. Pandya was there providing superior pain management in order to keep him comfortable in his final days. If you love your animals as if they are family and don't wish to pay an outrageous amount for routine care this is the clinic to trust!!! read more

The positive: I was seen fairly quickly, considering we didn't have an appointment. The doc didn't try to talk me into unnecessary tests. The cost was reasonable. It's the closest vet to my house. The neg: So, I brought my typically healthy 3 year old pup Charlotte to Caudle because she was having some stomach issues (I'll spare you the details) and I just wanted to get everything checked out and find out what I should be doing to make it better. The doc (I forget his name, sorry, but I think there's only one) first asked about her diet. When I told him about my girl's unconventional diet, he immediately snapped that it was not good for her, without asking any questions as to what it consists of or why I have decided to put her on it. I calmly responded that I have done lots of research and she has been on the diet for 2 years now, with no issues. I felt like he completely disregarded me after that point. He did a fecal test, felt around on her belly, injected her with antibiotics, and gave her some type of liquid medication (neither or which he explained or identified. I had to ask and he still didn't tell me what the purpose of them was). He concluded that she probably had a stomach virus and sent me on with some antibiotics. Four days later, after the problem persisted, I decided to take my girl to a different vet (which I will be writing a glowing review of momentarily) and had a completely different experience. I did have to make an appt but was able to do so for the same day and was also seen quickly. When I told that vet about Charlotte's special diet, he didn't condemn or belittle me but rather asked questions about it. When I explained that I started because she was having serious skin issues to every type of kibble I had tried, he was supportive and commended me for finding something that works for her. He did express some concern about potential bacterial issues and sent me home with pro-biotics. He didn't jump to a diagnosis and, instead, gave me some potential ailments and things to try. He also found some hookworms in her stool (which the Caudle doc didn't happen to find... curious) and gave us meds for that. I share this experience with the second vet, just for compare/contrast purposes, to illustrate that my negative feelings toward Caudle are not unreasonable. All in all, I wouldn't dissuade individuals, per se, from going to Caudle and might even consider taking Char back there for vaccinations and routine stuff; But I would not recommend them if you want to feel like your vet is actually listening to you and really cares about your pet. they do help people vet strays affordably, which are so prevalent in the neighborhood. the manager is wonderful as is part of the staff (it's hit & miss). dr pandya wants to help & do things at discounts for people who can't afford it, but remember: you get what you pay for. his care does not treat the animals as a person, as if they are our children (as I consider them), but rather like an animal. i have not used other vets there & do not intend to go back despite my respect & appreciation for some of the staff. if you do use them, please make sure you ask questions. ask why something is being done or needs to be done before it is done. ask for other options/all options. you MUST ask if your animal needs to be sedated for comfort. you MUST [typically] request a local anesthetic if you want it & think what is being done may hurt. you MUST ask if your animal needs a pain injection or pain medicines after the procedure. you will have to pay for it, but I cringe now at things we said 'yes' to doing without sedation or anesthesia when we first moved here & hadn't been to other vets to know better. i will never forgive myself for not asking more questions for the benefit of those poor dogs. don't forget to ask how to care for your animal after you get him/her home. it's always a good idea --if you are concerned about the truth behind reviews-- to call the health department & inquire if doctors or any licensed medicine practitioner have complaints against them. read more

We are so glad we took our dog to Dr. Pandya. Our dog had a small tumor on his wrist, and Dr. Pandya removed it that day and the price was very reasonable. 10 days later the stitches and his cone were removed and our dog licked open his incision. Fortunately, Dr. Pandya's office takes walk-ins starting at 8:30AM so we got him in the next morning. Our dog's incision was taken care of within a matter of minutes with no additional charge. That's incredible customer service! We're so impressed! This vet is practical, professional, and the space is very nice as well. We will definitely go to the Caudle Veterinary Clinic again. read more

Our vet recommended us to see Dr. Pandya because our vet does not perform surgery. My 10 year old lab mix had developed an abscess in his anal gland which required surgery to have it fixed. Dr. Pandya and his staff were great. We took our dog in the first visit for a consultation. Dr. Pandya explained to us about the surgery and the estimated price. It was about $800. We told Dr. Pandya while he put our dog under anesthesia, if he could also remove a benign tumor in his front leg. He said he could do it because the tumor would only take him a short time to remove. He said he wouldn't even charge us for that portion of the surgery because it was such a minor procedure. So on the day of his surgery, we dropped our dog off. His front desk staff was professional and nice. When we went and picked up the dog that evening, Dr. Pandya already left for the day but the staff said the surgery went well, she gave us all the instructions and medications for the dog. She said we could call the vet the next day. We called Dr. Pandya the following day, he was very detailed and explained exactly what he did. He said because the abscess was only in one of his anal glands. He decided to leave the good gland there. He was so honest and said because he only removed one side and the quote he gave us was for both anal glands removal, we would get a refund when we brought our dog back for follow up. So a few weeks later, we took our dog back and got a $150 refund. Our dog's wound healed well and he is no longer having problem. I can't say enough about Dr. Pandya's professionalism and his honesty. If he never said that to us to get a refund because one anal gland is intact, we would never know or expect. Nowadays it's so hard to find an honest and reliable vet anymore. So thank you Dr. Pandya and all your staff!! We and our dog thank you! read more

Dangerously incompetent father & son vets. Their mistake in applying the cast too tightly caused our senior cat to need her leg to be amputated. We brought in our senior cat, Sandy, as she was limping. Everyone was so kind and great to us. Dr. Pandya (the son) said there was no break and probably a sprain. She was sedated for the X-Rays and Dr. Pandya's father put on the cast/splint for three weeks. All good. We felt we were in good hands. She was doing fine until about half way through the healing when she started to drag the leg with the cast and she couldn't get comfortable. She had been getting along fine until then. I brought her in and met the senior Dr. Pandya telling him something is wrong. He barely looked at her, didn't touch her and said she probably just jammed it jumping off something and to give her some pain meds until the pain passes. I felt odd about his solution but chose to trust him as I felt great about his son and didn't want to extend her discomfort time in the cast. After a few days she relaxed but still dragged her leg. At 3 weeks, Dr. Padya (son) removed of the cast and right away we asked why her foot was blue/black and cold and her fur was falling out. Dr. Pandya (the son) replied, "That is normal and it'll come back in a few days". Again, still trusting him. By the time we got her home her whole leg had turned blue and more fur was falling out. We rushed her back (only an an hour later) and as soon as the father Pandya saw the same foot he said the whole leg had to be amputated. So either the son is incompetent or he lied to us, knowing he was looking at a dead foot. That is our only issue. Applying the cast too tightly would be a sad but forgivable human error. But Dr. Pandya's unwillingness to concede a mistake/problem with the foot the time of the cast removal, and pretend it was fine is why we feel they are not a place for you to take your pets. They still have not acknowledged their part in this or apologized or offered any other explanation. Those are the facts as we experienced them. Please consider this when taking your animal to them. They have been our veterinarian for over 8 years and have taken great care with all 4 of our animals. I could not ask for a better group of individuals to take care of my babies. They always have monthly specials to help you out with your budget and are always willing to help you in any emergency. Dr. Pandya is one of the most genuinely kind individuals I have ever known!! He has always remembered us by face and by name and not only that, but he knows all four of our animals names by heart. He says hello to them in the sweetest kindest voice imaginable he always gives them so much love and care and grooms them very gently during procedures. He treats them like they are my children and I appreciate that. And if you look around you can see all of his pictures with all of his animals... And he has many!! ...and they are His babies too. So if your vet thinks of his animals as children then he will treat yours the same!!! For those of you who gave an opposite review it sounds like you only went ONE time maybe you need to give it more than just one try ya think?? But we are all allowed to have our own opinions of course so I respect that!!--- but at least make sure you have tried it out more than once before being very negative And we All have a bias when it comes to our animals... Maybe they need more of a gentle touch or maybe they need a firm hand during a special or delicate procedure --it's hard for us to know because we don't see them as a veterinarian would, we see them as a parent sees their children. I say give them more than one try because the staff is so kind and also very understanding about many Financial issues one may have... And the veterinarians are all experts at Caudle! read more
