They did everything from replacing all of the old galvenized pipe with updated materials to installing our new faucets and completing our new tub installation. They even came back and helped remove a recalled faucet and installed the replacement. They were quick, they were clean, they were easy to talk to and they charged very reasonable prices for their services. They did such a good job that I don't think I'll be seeing them again in the near future, but I suggest them to anyone looking for a good plumbing company.

I called John a few months ago to get a quote for three new windows at our place in Mammoth. To my…read moresurprise, he gave me honest feedback--he suggested that on two of the windows, it would actually look better (and cost less) to just replace the glass instead of installing brand-new units. That kind of honesty is rare, and I really appreciated it. We ended up hiring John to replace our old, original vinyl sliding door, which had become difficult to open and close. He came out, measured everything carefully, and helped us select a custom door that would fit perfectly. Because it was a custom order, it took a little time to arrive, but John and Michelle kept us updated throughout the process and were great to work with. When installation day came, John and his crew member, Alan, showed up on time, worked efficiently, and did a beautiful job--including finishing all the trim. The new door looks fantastic, slides effortlessly, and feels much sturdier--definitely an upgrade for handling the cold and snow we get on our back deck. What stood out most to me was John's honesty and professionalism. He even recommended another local business for the glass repair work he doesn't handle himself, which says a lot about his integrity. My first experience with John was last July when I had a couple of major plumbing and sprinkler system issues. He resolved the issues beyond my expectations. Being able to get it done on a Fourth of July Weekend was unbelievable. After that experience I asked John if he would do some additional kitchen and bathroom remodel work for me, and he agreed to not only do the work but to manage the project since it included having an additional contractor involved. John oversaw the installation of a kitchen countertop, he removed the old countertop and installed all new kitchen appliances. He installed a new kitchen sink and garbage disposal, and had to re-plumb in order to do so. He updated one of our bathrooms to include a shower, and insulated the walls behind the shower. He oversaw the installation of all new interior doors and one exterior door. He had his crew touch-up all paint to match what was already there. He noticed things that needed done and asked me if I wanted him to take care of them. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work done on our house and appreciate John's attention to detail and taking the time to do it correctly, as if he was working on his own house. He communicated with us regularly on the project via texts and phone calls. If you are looking for a quick fix at a cheap price, John is not your man. John does exceptional quality work. He provides very detailed invoices. He does not take short cuts because he does not want come-backs and he does guarantee his work. We will definitely be using John to work on future projects and will keep him on speed dial for those unexpected emergencies.

Finally, on the third attempt I spoke to the owners wife (co-owner) and told her what my project was and would entail, then for 45 minutes she proceeded to tell me how busy they were, how they can't get supplies in to finish work, and how there's no one willing to work for them. When I noticed their address was one block from my house I told her "we're neighbors and just let me know when you can make it to give me a quote, you can even walk here." Also, after she stated 'they couldn't find anyone wanting to work,' I told her that my friend (a retired 30 year experienced construction contractor) was looking for work and to get back into the industry and I'd send him their way. He did reach out to the owners because he already knew them from being in the business and in his words, 'they don't seem interested in employing anyone.' (Huh? I thought you could find anyone to work?) So finally after 35 minutes of conversation, the co-owner told me to send her an email so she can have my contact information and they'll come and look at my project and give me a quote 'the first week of December' (this was in August 2021). Here I am 5.5 MONTHS LATER still awaiting a measly quote from this company. I haven't received a single phone call or email from them. So I recommend don't bother with this company, they'll tell you how busy they are NOT running their business and never show up as promised (typical Bishop). Also, realize that they actually don't do any work themselves, they subcontract most of their work to other local businesses, i.e. plumbing to Dean's plumbing, Electrical to Rollins Electric, HVAC to Bishop Heating, etc....if you need that kind of work done just go directly to those businesses and cut out "Orth" because they just act as the middle man and tack on more money to do things you can probably do yourself.
