Lovely B & B. The atmosphere is very nice, rooms were perfect, and the (included) breakfast is hearty and delicious. They even supply soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Highly recommended. read more
This place was great for the price we paid! There's a cute pub downstairs while the rooms are up a small flight of stairs. It is very close to everything in Bushmills. The tavern itself has a great history and the woman that runs it is very helpful and full of information on the area. read more
This out of town place is a pub downstairs with upstairs accommodation. It was alright (not wheelchair friendly) but I wouldn't say it was great at the price we paid. Car parking is out front just off the main road. It's pretty close to all the main attractions by car. There's no doubt that Game Of Thrones has greatly increased international tourism interest in the Causeway coast and the Giants Causeway and to an extent B&B owners are asking and getting quite high prices for fairly basic offerings. We paid £70 a night for two which included a stonking plate of breakfast in a smallish downstairs dining room. We were there 2 nights and had the best blue sky weather of the month. I feel at this price and the very limited services and floor space offered it's coming quite close to being a rip off. I know it's not really a realistic comparator but for this price we get a huge balcony room in a well serviced four star hotel north of Barcelona, right on and overlooking the Mediterranean with a huge breakfast and a 6 course dinner for two and guaranteed heat; oh and free wifi throughout too. That's why we go to Spain a few times a year and up the Causeway coast once every five or six years. Our room had a double and single bed so there wasn't a great deal of spare space to move about in the room, so being well over six foot I just plonked myself on the double bed for the short time we were in and awake in the B&B. We had tea & coffee facilities in the room with tasty biscuits. The kettle had to be filled using the tea cups as the kettle wouldn't fit under the sink tap in the shower and toilet room. The shower was darn good and a good size but the toilet was close to the wall so it's not exactly comfortable sitting for tall people and the wash hand basin was tiny. The view out the room window was nowt to write home about. WIFI does not extend to the bedrooms either. I found it strange that we had to order our breakfasts the night before and breakfast lasted only between 8 & 9am - this is a new experience for us and it's not exactly customer orientated either, in fact it's pretty far from it, so if it's a lie - in you want then you sacrifice breakfast, which shouldn't be so. Opportunity for Travelodge to build. Funny enough we had family staying at an equally near to rip off priced pub based B&B in Bushmills (Fionn Mc Cool's) and they also wanted brekky pre ordered each night before and they also only served breakfast between 8am & 9am. We would maybe return at a pinch in a good few years time (North Barcelona wins every time) but not at over £70 for two. Oh and brekkies in and around Bushmills should go to 10am - maybe it could be called hospitality? This place is a borderline three stars. read more
