She taught us not just how to cook, but how to prep, basic knife handling, and an interesting way to prepare garlic. The first part of the class we all sat with our recipes and watched Maggie in the kitchen while she explained everything. Then we split into groups of 2 and tackled one recipe for each group. We made chicken piccata and when I say the experience was world class I truly mean it. There were 10 people in our class and it really gave us an intimate feel. Chef Paul and his family were so friendly and really welcomed you as a member of their family. A truly touching moment was at the end of class when we were plating our meals. The china some of us used was actually from his parents wedding!!!! We will be back for many many more classes and hope to meet you all there too!

This is a delightful store. If you know anyone who loves to cook and you are looking for the perfect gift, look no more. There is something for everyone in this store, including yourself! There is a also a section with pre-made sauces and other items such as starters you can select from which are a huge time saver and also a money saver since you are not buying ingredients in the grocery store for one dish. Plus, they have a cooking school. I have not taken any classes yet, since they are more of a team orientation with one demonstration day over lunch (and I prefer demonstration style), but for those of you who enjoy cooking classes with a hands-on style (rather than lecture and example), this may be the place for you. Their cooking school classes can be found on-line and have a wonderful variety each month, some with a theme for that month or up-coming holiday. I encourage you to check the location out, see what they sell, see if anything scheduled at the cooking school appeals to you, and look over the food section with items ready to purchase and enjoy. The staff were all very friendly when I told them it was my first time in the store so they could walk me through their intended concept. Enjoy!

I would have loved to see the whole process of making the icing, but I appreciated the extra time decorating since that is what we were there for. Standing at the front, the layout of the store felt really open. As we continued to walk around and browse, another staff member greeted us, asked if we were looking for anything in particular, and told us where we could find the clearance section because there were some good items on sale. They did have some cute kitchen items on sale, leftover from Easter and Mother's Day. Separately, I saw a whole section of items with a beautiful orchid design. I ended up getting a large kitchen linen with the orchids on it as a gift. Everything in the store always looks high quality, and I love shopping there!
