I guess I just don't get it. The ambience is on par for a local coffee shop, but certainly beneath a Heroes, Airship, or Onyx shop. The food is ok. The service is good. The coffee is just plain awful. The roasts are weird and the coffee (I should mention, I drink it black) tastes like there's more than just coffee in there, like additives or spices or something to cover the unpleasantness of (I assume) a bad roast. I still get asked to meet there often as it is close to my home, and when I try to order a drink that sounds nice but isn't a coffee, they're always out of that thing (I've tried ordering an affogato thinking, "at least it'll have ice cream to mitigate that flavor" the last 4 times to no avail) Admittedly, I know lots of people who are "milkshake-like" coffee-ish drinkers who like it. On the upside, I like joyhouse's mission, the staff is nice, and they sell canned drinks and Miss Vickie's potato chips, which are nice in a pinch. YMMV. read more

Love, love, loved this place! I have always passed by it on my way to the airport, and always wanted to stop. I dropped off some passengers and rolled through here, and I'm so glad I did! It is a real treasure in Cave Springs. They have all kinds of coffee, teas, bakery items. They also sell local, handmade gifts inside. I ordered a vanilla latte and a cinnamon roll. They were both delicious! The vanilla latte was not too sweet, and you can really taste the coffee. The inside is decorated nicely and they have a lot of tables to accommodate people. The staff was very friendly and welcomed me with a smile. Will I be back? 100%! read more

This place is both sit in or drive through. Drive through is a bit cramped but it wasn't very busy when I cruised through. They are now offering kolache's so I had to have one! It was.. ok. Not particularly flavorful and the sausage was a bit tough, but it could easily have been a one off. I had a good iced drink - strong coffee which is great in my book. The staff I interacted with was super nice and seemed patient. I would love to see either a larger outdoor menu or something I can look at to order though- it was hard to see what options were available. read more

My new favorite local coffee place. I would love to show you a picture of the delicious cheese Danish I ordered, but it was so flaky and creamy, that I couldn't help but gobble it up immediately. There is a cute little drive through and plenty of arrows to help you navigate the parking lot. A great place to hang out and study/work, as there is plenty of space and several tables. I have enjoyed having this coffee shop close to the airport. When I am waiting on people I sometimes stop in and have coffee. So far the coffee has been good and the pastries have been decent. The interior is better than the exterior, but even the interior decor leaves a little to be desired. The Wi-Fi has been reliable. The staff have been friendly. What a joy to find this gem! Living in Los Angeles, coffee shop hangs are a way of life. The place has to be special, with great energy, a unique look, kind baristas, excellent coffee, high quality milk/cream, wifi friendly, great parking, an inspiring community board of business cards, and definitely with a sofa nook in which to disappear with a book. This place is all of that! And it's even more because it's right in the middle of nature, in a part of the world where it's terribly hard to find good coffee. So thankful it's here to make me feel at home on my road trip. It's now my daily thread. Sit and read and sip and talk. Then take a nice walk through the blessedly quiet town around, and see my dog enjoy her off leash play because it's so chill here it's total freedom. I give this a five rating based on consistency, great service and cool atmosphere. I also like to see people take cool old spaces that have been eyesores and pore their heart into it. Great retrofit of an old Cave Springs downtown building without ruining it. Good location on 112 almost perfectly centered between B'Ville and Fayetteville. Drinks are solid with better selection than the big boys. Faster drive thru too. They have good selection of pastries and recently added sandwiches for lunch. Convenient on way to airport and if 49 is crowded. read more

Good coffee and very pleasant atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Being a Cave Springs resident, I've been going here a few times a week since opening. My only criticism is that I order the same drink almost every time, but it is always a different price, depending on who waits on me. So the same drink ranges in price from $4.66 to $7.51. I have asked a few times why the price ranges so wildly, but no one knows. One of the staff guys has told me on three different occasions my next drink will be on the house, but with no voucher I don't know how that would happen. I don't want free coffee, just consistent pricing. It's good coffee and the staff is very friendly, so I'll continue to visit here and hope they will eventually have all the staff on the same page with pricing. Highly recommend it! read more
