I rang them to book a place for my parents and from that first interaction the service was very good. They made sure there was a parking space for them when they arrived and showed them around the beautiful old house. There's a sitting room and honesty bar if you ever get bored of your room. They opted to pay extra for cooked breakfast and really enjoyed it. Loses the 5th star because its a bit out of the city centre which meant taxi rides.

What an absolute find! If you ever find yourself in Cardiff (which my partner assures me is now a…read morelot different and nicer than it was in the past), you HAVE to stay here. Forget the chintzy chains or the high class hotels that just treat you like a number, you become one of the family instantly. This terrace house was recently renovated into a boutique 7 room hotel. The rooms are well appointed, with free wifi, a TV and a DVD player. There's even an ipod dock / speaker for your Apple music goons. The beds were definitely comfy, and the linen fresh. The only thing I'd say was that the pillows were a bit too thick for my liking and gave me a bit of a neck crick the next day. (I usually sleep with relatively thin pillows though, and so at least maybe having that option would have been nice). Anyway, Helen greets you at the door (no matter what time of day you come - we were the last guests for the day) with the greatest smile and a gigantic dollop of Cardiff charm. We were knackered from a day of walking in the Brecon Beacons and were promptly shown how all the amenities in our room worked. The showers were great and everything looked new and well cleaned. The breakfast was continental, and while it would have been nice to have a fully cooked option included in the price (it costs £5 more and you have to order it the evening before), but a brief chat with Helen makes you understand why. She's passionate about the business and treating guests like family. This boutique hotel gives you great value for money, and a top notch level of service - although almost - just almost bordering on it being too much. Helen also knows the Cardiff area well and can be a great source of information for your travels in Cardiff. Parking is available and reservable in the rear of the house and the back room is well stocked with things to entertain you. I'd recommend Room 2 because of it's little veranda outside for you to sit in (when it's not pouring out like it was when we were there). Definitely will return and be a part of the history of Hotel One Hundred.

They offer a wide variety of rooms starting from single rooms up to rooms that sleep 4 people. All Rooms have Wifi and colour televisions (some with freeview). We booked a twin room as there was very little available in Cardiff that weekend because of the football. Amazingly however Andrew pushed the beds together to make a massive double for us!! I sadly didn't make it to breakfast as it finished at 9:30 and my lazy little self was enjoying a lie in, my other half did however and reported back that it was good. Thankyou for the very enjoyable stay

Terrible experience! The staff seemed to have no idea of what was going on and just kept telling us 'there's nothing we can do we're short staffed'. There was no manager on site and nobody who was able to help us. The rooms were eventually 'ready' at around 19:15. We had travelled for a surprise party we were attending in Nailsea and this made all of us late and missing the time we were due to arrive. Once in the rooms it was clear they had been rushed and were all in need of a deep clean and some TLC. Thick dust on skirting boards, stained carpets covered in bits, dirty shower screens, splatters down the walls and just generally very very grubby. It's obvious they've not been properly cleaned in a long time. The girl that was there cleaning was doing the best she could but had told us that she hadn't been called in until well after 14:00 when the rooms should have been ready. If we didn't have somewhere to be, and hadn't paid in advance, we most definitely would have found somewhere else to stay. In the morning we opened the window to let in some fresh air, as the rooms were very warm, only to find our room was above the staff smoking area. It instantly made our room stink of cigarette smoke as well as hearing the staff swearing and hollering below. Breakfast consisted of some pre packed pastries and dirty glasses for the juice, we had to go and ask for some clean glasses from the bar. The 'manager' was on site the following morning sat in the bar area. He was apparently aware of the issues but made no effort to come over to us with an apology or any solution or even bother to make contact with us. When we approached him all he kept repeating was 'I apologise but were short staffed, there's nothing I can do'. THATS YOUR JOB AS A MANAGER! I fully appreciate that things happen, it's life and things don't always go to plan, but it's the way things are dealt with. We received zero communication in advance to say there may be a delay with our room, this would have enabled us to make alternate plans etc. He then told us that it would be the same situation that evening for other guests arriving, with no indication of him or the other members of staff on site making any effort to solve the the situation and start cleaning rooms ready. They basically did not really care. Overall a terrible experience and would not stay here or recommended to anyone. If you want a clean room and a decent nights stay head to the Rising Sun down the road!
