I recently purchased a dress online and had it delivered to the store for pickup. I was not notified when the dress arrived, so by the time I went to pick it up approximately two weeks later, I discovered that the dress had a hole in it. I was extremely disappointed to then be made to feel as though I should somehow be responsible for an item that was damaged before I ever took possession of it. What bothered me even more was the response I received when I called the store manager to address the situation. I was told, "It was a cheap dress anyway." Regardless of the price of an item, that is an incredibly dismissive and unprofessional way to speak to a customer--especially a loyal customer who has supported this boutique many times. The issue is not simply the cost of the dress. It is about customer service, accountability, and how a customer is treated when there is a problem. I expected the store to stand behind the merchandise it sold and handle the situation professionally. Instead, I felt dismissed and disrespected. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed the way I feel about shopping here. A loyal customer should never be made to feel that their purchase or concern does not matter simply because someone considers the item "cheap."

Training needs to be done with some of your staff because the attitudes and the way they handled the situation was completely unacceptable. I need to replace everything. Literally everything. I went online and asked if they had any emergency relief for fire victims. The company doesn't necessarily have something set up, but Lauren told me to pick out the items I needed and she would help as much as she could. Let me tell you something, she really did help a lot. One of the things that keeps me going and helps me hold my head up during this difficult time is when complete strangers can reach out and help you, in your hour of greatest need. Lauren is yet just one more example of somebody who has renewed my faith in humanity.
