FOOD
The restaurant serves southern Thai food. The dishes we ordered were quite different in flavour from those found at the more popular Thai restaurants in Sydney.
We ordered the following
- Nahm Prik Kapi - spicy shrimp paste with Cha-om omelette ($9)
- Stir Fried Tom Yum Seafood ($15.90)
- Kao Kook Kapi - shrimp paste fried rice with caramelised pork belly, shredded green mango, onion, chilli ($10.50)
- Toblerone Pyramids ($7.90)
The rice had a very interesting flavour to it due to the unusual combination of ingredients which are then mixed together. The omelette wasn't what I was expecting (looked greener and more fish cake shape like in the picture). The spicy shrimp paste added a very nice tang to the omelette. I'm a big fan of shrimp paste but know it's not for everyone so proceed with caution if you've never tried before. Tom Yum has just the right mix of spicy and sour.
The Toblerone Pyramid was nice but it really was just the white part that tasted only slightly like toblerone.
