I would like to recommend CB Painting and Décor to anyone that is looking to have a high quality, professional painting/design company in their home. I recently remodeled my kitchen after 22 years with wood cabinets and granite countertops. I decided to change my counters and have my cabinets painted, and called CB Painting and Décor. Chris Blaul, the owner, came over to look at my project. He listened to what I wanted and offered so many great ideas on which way for me to go with my project. He was extremely helpful coming in with 30 plus years of experience in paint and design. I did some minor changes to my counters, and once the changes were completed, Chris' team of exceptional painters started the job. His workers were meticulous in their prep work. They taped off the work area and enclosed it with plastic to prevent dust in the rest of the house. They carefully removed each cabinet door, drawer, and pull, and marked each piece to make sure they were returned to their proper place in the kitchen once the job was completed. The project took 7 days from start to finish. At the end of each day, they left the job site in a clean and orderly manner. Once the job was completed, they removed all the prep set up, put all cabinet doors, drawers and pulls back together, they cleaned and vacuumed everything and they left the kitchen clean and free of all plastic, tape, paint, paintbrushes etc.. I am completely happy with the workmanship and professionalism CB Painting and Décor provided during my kitchen remodel. I feel as if I have a brand-new kitchen that will last another 25 years! I called CB Paint & Decor and talked to Chris about having the interior trim around our new windows stained to match the wooden window frames. We scheduled an appointment for him to come over so he could give us an estimate for the work. Chris was prompt with the appointment and in sending over an estimate. Alex did an excellent job in matching the stain to the window frame and his attention to detail was not only in the staining but the prep work. I manage high end estates for out of town owners. One of the new properties we took on had redwood siding and extensive decking that had suffered from severe sun damage and lack of maintenance. CB Paint and Decor did an incredible quality job of stripping, sanding and then staining the exterior of the home. Their attention to detail was fantastic. I am writing this review because people should take into consideration what goes on behind the scenes of this business with Chris Blaul before contracting him. About a month ago I received a call from Chris with an interest in contracting me as a bookkeeper. We made arrangements to work together and I drew up a contract and started working for him. Unbeknownst to me, Chris had a background on me. He already knew who I was before calling me - he had an agenda. He knew that I was homeless. Regardless, the entire time I worked for him he was insinuating things about my past trying to open me up to incriminate myself. Did I mention that I am homeless and trying to get out of homelessness? Chris and his wife harassed me at their home office while I was trying to work, concentrate and complete my bookkeeping tasks. I had good and honest intentions and they did not. On my last day working in his office he called me and hung up on me for no reason. Called me again and when I didn't pick up he came into the office and was super hostile towards me. He's had several bookkeepers that didn't work out in the past and now I know why. He is not a good person to work for - he is self-centered and only focused on himself and what he can benefit from in every situation. There's more to Chris than you know.
