I have left more than one 5 star review for this service over the last 10 years. However, they have become less responsive recently, with bills coming months late, after more recent invoices have already been paid. Difficult to contact about this. Then 2 weeks ago, I requested cleaning using the same number I have used to schedule monthly for years via text. Usually I just ask for service any day of the week, but this time I needed a specific day, so requested confirmation that it would fit in the schedule. No one answered, so i sent another message 4 days later asking to confirm the schedule. Again no answer. It was now the weekend before Thanksgiving and I had to scramble to find someone else to clean prior to guests arriving. I sent a final message saying that I would find another service, since I had not heard back, and hoped all was well. Never got a reply. It's a shame because they always did a good job cleaning the house, but communication needs to improve. read more

Hate to admit this, but it had been too many years since I cleaned my carpeting in our home. I finally got around to it and hired Wallace Cleaning Company and I am so glad I did. The owner, Mr. Wallace, came out himself to do the job. He cleaned our old carpeting making it look like new again! The entire cleaning process did not take very long either, but it was extremely thorough. I was very impressed. I was very impressed with the service I received from Alvin Wallace and his team. They came and gave me an estimate and was able to schedule a cleaning almost immediately. They were very professional and they moved all my furniture carefully. The only complaint I had was it took longer for my carpet to dry than they told be, but the results were worth staying off the carpet for a few more hours. read more

Alvin is awesome. I called about my shag rug and he had it picked up from my front porch the following day while I was at work. He contacted me the same day to give me an estimate, and dropped the rug off at my house a couple days later (the cleaning was done over the weekend, and he even tried to drop it off on Sunday, but I wasn't available!). I have a couch that has slip covers. When I removed the slipcovers I saw what I thought was mold on the muslim . Alvin came out and put my mind at ease, it was not mold but some fabric discoloration. Just had an amazing carpet cleaning experience after having the worst EVER with a different company yesterday. I called Wallace Cleaning Company desperate to get the damage fixed that the shyster, extortionist did the day before (don't use Eco Clean!) and Alvin came and saved the day. Alvin and Bernice are all around good people with the service and results to match their amazing personalities. They cleaned my apartment carpets quickly and with great results, our carpet had been trampled on by two of our kids and if you're a parent you know how that carpet can and will look after 5 years with little boys. They had it looking like the day we moved in, even a few deep and dark dirt spots were removed which I thought for sure would never happen. I would highly recommend them to anyone, with affordable pricing which is hard to find in Santa Barbara. I have called them about five times to make an appointment... they always say they will call me back but never do. Every time I call they say they will page someone and have them call me right back, my phone never rings. Maybe cleaning only two rooms and couple of rugs is not worth it to this company to come out for, but they don't want to take my money. While racing to meet my moving out deadline, I realized with a few days left before that deadline that I'd best look for a company to delegate cleaning to. A very smart decision, especially when I found Wallace Cleaning Company available for first thing on my move out day. A supervisor (I'm forgetting her name, sorry!) and two others came on that Sunday morning, all equipped with their supplies and got to work with the busyness of bees! I felt the rate was also very fair, considering that I'd secured them so last minute, and on a Sunday. I also did not need what the local cleaning industry calls a whole move-out cleaning package and appreciated that this company responded to cleaning only what I deemed needed to be addressed -and not for four mandated hours. Our family has been using Wallace Cleaning Company exclusively for the past three years for all our apartment carpet cleaning. From units across the street from SBCC to units in Goleta, Mr. Wallace can take care of pretty much anything. They have even saved a corporate tenant of ours thousands of dollars in carpet replacement fees because the carpet was able to be cleaned. We were fortunate to encounter Mr. Wallace at our property cleaning a vacating tenant's apartment. We began using the services of Wallace immediately after seeing the results of the job he performed for the vacating tenant. To this day, three years later, and after hundreds of carpet cleaning jobs including many in the SBCC area, Mr. Wallace still continues to amaze us with his top notch work. Not once has our family, also owners of the properties, been let down or left unsatisfied with the work performed. Additionally, Mr. Wallace has helped us many times in the event of water overflow remediation. One unit, two units, and even three units at a tim,. Super pleased that they were able to fit us in on such short notice and were reasonably priced with the rest of their competitors. Alvin was quick to call me back and schedule an appointment that same weekend and he was both punctual and extremely courteous. I contacted them through the "Contact Us" form on their website, and my wife has tried contacting them by phone. In both cases our messages have not been returned and it's been two weeks since I first tried to get a hold. They need to respect other people's property. These people showed up at our apartment complex in Santa Barbara to clean a vacant apartment. They parked their white van next to my car and proceeded to ding the crap out of it. The next time they showed up to clean another apartment, I told the driver about this. She admitted to parking next to my car, but denied the dings. Most likely because she didn't know it happened. She parked in a very tight spot next to my car and thought it fit - all good, lets clean. But then the passengers trying to get out, ding my car multiple times. So this company needs to inform their drivers and passengers that just because it fits doesn't mean it's ok. Tell the passengers that if they can't get out, then tell the driver - and she needs to know that they are going to tell her to find a better spot and not get angry. read more

After looking at the reviews on Yelp, I was highly impressed by the accolades given to Wallace Cleaning. I called them on a Friday, and left a message. Several hours later, I received a return call from Bernice, who scheduled an appointment to give us an estimate at 8AM the following Monday. By the time 8:30 rolled around, I decided to call and got the answering service....which told me that they'd relay the message to Bernice. At 9:15, after receiving NO call, I called again and was told by the service that she'd tried to reach both Alvin and Bernice and neither answered the call. At that point I decided that they weren't interested in my business and told her to let Bernice know that the appointment was cancelled. Fifteen minutes later, who arrived, but Bernice? There was never an apology for making me wait an hour and a half; nor an explanation....even though my husband and I gave her several opportunities by asking if she'd gotten lost, etc. As it turned out, her estimate was twice what other services quoted. But the reason she didn't get the job was because she just didn't seem to care whether she'd inconvenienced us at all. Not a very good way to do business. read more

It is always a pleasure to recommend a great business. We called Alvin because a rug we brought when we moved here from a desert climate suddenly started smelling awful in a humid climate! Alvin drove out and picked up the rug and promised it for a certain date. Then the day before it was due back, he called to say he wanted to work on it some more because it wasn't as fresh-smelling as he wanted it to be. I think they use an answering service. The first time I called was 10 am and didn't hear back so I called again at 4:30 pm and was told they'd page again. That time I got called back within 10 mins and was speaking with Alvin Wallace. He took most of the info on my rug and told me his office would call me. They did, at 9:30 am the next day. They asked when they could pick up the rug, I said 1 that day, and they were on time. We were told that our dark rug might need 1 extra day if a second cleaning was needed, but that wasn't the case as our rug was ready on the third day as promised. We were again asked what time was convenient for us and Alvin appeared again on time with our clean rug! 8' x 5' was $75, we gave him $80 cash. Will definitely use this service again. read more

I called in the evening for a quote and he arrived first thing the next morning to look at the space, told me the fair price, immediately scheduled a cleaning for the next morning. He and David arrived to do the cleaning, I couldn't believe that they finished a large living room, 2 bedrooms, hallway, and stairs in about an hour. This is the first time I have ever bothered to Yelp a company. I was so happy with the service I received that I had to write a review. Alvin came when he said he would and did a great job of cleaning our carpets. A week later my dog got sick and messed on my wonderfully clean carpet. I called Alvin and he came right out and cleaned up the mess. Back to clean carpet (and doggie in laundryroom until she gets over the bug). Wallace cleaning was not only professional but extremely good at what they do. I had stains on my carpet and had several carpet cleaning companies come out to clean and none of them got the stains out. Wallace came and he said "no problem". And the carpet was in pristine condition when they were done. I'm talking like perfectly white. It was amazing. Also, they were nice enough to help me get some carpet installed in a small room I had. He called his carpet installer and the carpet was installed a few hours later THAT DAY! It was amazing and they were super nice and friendly the whole time making the normally tedious experience just perfect. read more

Alvin is a miracle worker. He took carpet that is 20 years old, that needs to be replaced, and made it presentable for the property sale. We didn't know what to do.
