The experience was marred by gross incompetence and unprofessionalism, starting with the incorrect handling of my moving details. Firstly, despite numerous phone calls and WhatsApp messages confirming the correct address and the comprehensive list of items to be moved, CBD Movers arrived at the wrong address. This error alone caused significant delays and unnecessary stress. Secondly, the moving truck dispatched was wholly inadequate for the job. I explicitly stated that I needed to move a two-bedroom apartment along with outdoor furniture and items from a garage. Instead of sending an appropriate vehicle, CBD Movers sent a small truck, clearly unable to accommodate all items in one trip. On the day of the move, the situation deteriorated further. The initially cooperative drivers informed me that the job would require 8-10 hours, involving two trips, contrary to previous assurances that it would not exceed 5 hours. When I protested and sought resolution from your call center and subsequently requested a call from the manager, I received neither adequate assistance nor the promised call. Despite the drivers' insistence on their limitations and the company's repeated mistakes, I reluctantly agreed to one trip due to being backed into a corner. Regrettably, this decision forced me to rent an additional truck at considerable expense to complete the move myself. AND! I actually helped as the workers were moving extremely slow and when all said and done the Van was not even packed correctly. See pic below - Hence why they couldn't get all items on truck. CBD Movers' refusal to take responsibility for their errors is appalling. I am still awaiting a call from your manager, despite my repeated attempts to resolve this matter directly. Instead of addressing the mishap and my justified grievances, CBD Movers had the audacity to solicit a review from me. Therefore, let me be clear in my feedback: CBD Movers' service was abysmal, unprofessional, and utterly unreliable. I strongly advise against using your services to anyone who values competence and customer respect. When all said and done they replied and said they investigated themselves, Didn't find any fault. DO NOT USE CBD MOVERS. Complete scam, they use subcontractors that don't know what they're doing and then refuse to take accountability. We moved less than 1 km away and they managed to scratch and damage everything, as well as doing the job as slowly as possible to charge us way more than we were quoted. We made a complaint and arguing with them on the phone over several weeks took years off my life. They denied everything and refused to refund us for the cost of the nove, let alone pay to repair the damage. I've never had a worse experience with a company in my life. read more

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would!! They were unreasonably slow, unprofeesional and RUDE! I was threatened by the movers -- can you believe that actually happened? They accused me of observing the move -- inside my own home -- and abruptly stopped the job, demanding payment for the incomplete service. They even threatened to take my belongings, which were already loaded in their truck, unless I paid them on the spot. I was left with no choice but to call 000 and file a police report. This was an absolutely shocking and terrifying experience -- far beyond anything I could have imagined when hiring a moving service. NOT EVEN ONE STAR, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND SLOW. I booked CBD Removalists to arrive at 9am due to my son being at school however they arrived at 2pm AND DID NOT start working until 3:30pm. They stood infront of their truck for an hour before moving anything at all. The people that arrived for removals were NOT equipped for the move. They did not have bubble wrap, packing tape or ropes, Actually ridiculous. I've booked removalists on air tasker that do x100 better job for half the cost. The guys that came were the size of me and I'm 5"2 49kg, they struggled moving items and did everything SO SLOW. They finished at 12am, I had to put my son into a hotel because of their delay which costed me even more, they broke my washing machine and also misplaced my cushions from co co republic. The worst company to deal with ever. They even stopped moving furniture at 10pm with 1 truck left informing me I had to pay the invoice before they move anything else. After making a complaint and asking to speak to their boss they responded with "our company is closed now" UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE. Disgusting, I had to negotiate to pay them $2000 cash for them to continue moving my furniture. BY FAR THE WORST SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED. They also didn't reassemble the bed And lost the screws. With reference to my below review and cancellation of the booking, I am still awaiting my advance payment refund from 16th Nov. Everyday, the customer service person confirms the payment will be done today, in 3 hours' time, etc., but till now I am hearing the same excuses every day. One day in a year at least speak the truth and act professionally. Completely unreliable, untrustworthy company. Should be banned from doing business in a country like Australia. These people do not care what promises have been made and only care about how much business they can make. Very poor planning and scheduling. Customer service personnel provide false information and lies without hesitation and thought of what the person on the other side is suffering. I have made an order and paid advance 10 days in advance from the pick-up day. Since, I have to collect sofas from a third party, an hour away from my home, I have clearly said the pickup time has to be 10.30 am on email and over the calls and they have assured that the truck will be at 10.30 am. 9.30 am: I got a text saying my pick up will be delayed. When we called and negotiated about the situation, they informed us that the truck will be there by 11.30 am and they have escalated my order to priority. A separate truck (not from any job) was promised to be sent to us. I have been waiting on the street with all the sofa sets from 10:00 am. 11:25 am: I called them to track the truck and been told that the truck is leaving in 2 minutes and will be there by 12.30 pm. 12.30 pm: I called them to track the truck and I have been told that the truck will be there by 1.30 pm and they promised that it is the final change and no more delays. 1:30 pm: I called them and requested to escalate to their managers and they told me that the truck will come by 2.30 pm. I really got frustrated with their system of false information every time, as their truck is busy working somewhere and we were waiting on the streets for hours. 1:45 pm: Their truck driver messaged that he will be there in 1 hour. Even with the priority service as they mentioned, this is the situation. I canceled the order with them and booked with Singh movers. They are cheaper than CBD movers and even with the last minute call, came to our pick-up asap and offered a fantastic service. When I raised this complaint about a fair judgment from their complaints team, they simply replied, unavoidable delays are permitted as per their terms and conditions. When a job is booked 10 days ago and there is a schedule for the day and the 'n' number of trucks available, I really do not understand how they function and run this business. If they have told by 9.30 am that the truck is not available until 2.45 pm, we would have canceled the order and would not have to wait 4+ hours on the street for no reason. CBD Movers are hands down THE WORST moving company in Australia. DO NOT EVER USE THEM to move any of your goods. They will show up late, overcharge, and worst of all DAMAGE EVERYTHING! My wife talked to CBD movers and got the quote. Price was agreed to remove some boxes, washing machine, an old sofa and few other items to move from my house to my daughter's house which is 4 houses away on the same street in Strathfield. Initially we were told that they will come between 7-10am on Sunday. But they came at 9.50 am. Two young, lazy, fellows came and talked to my wife and they wanted to see the things that were to be removed.. One fellow said he cannot touch the old sofa and the washing machine as they were not in the contract. But he said ' if you want we can talk about outside the contract to remove the sofa nd the washing machine' They refused to do the work. At one instance they wanted to go back with the advance payment. They were very rude, arrogant and very cheap mentality. they did 1 hour work, 30min arguing with me and my wife. Finally, my wife asked them to remove items excluding sofa and washing machine While unloading at my daughters house , they stopped half way and demanded the balance payment -said it was the company policy. After I paid the full amount, one guy said he wanted to talk to us re the removal of the sofa and the washing machine for $100. i told them that I was prepared to give one more hour but no extra payment. I chased them away. Before engaging these guys, make sure you read some of the reviews and talk to the office. They spent nearly one hour to remove only very few items.
